Kase update

15 months!
weight: 25 lb (50%)
height: 32" (75%)
head: big! (75%)

New words: Hot, bird, what's that?, oh wow!, outside.

Favorite things to do:

dance
runaway from mom
fake talk on the phone
bark at dogs when he sees them
go outside
play with his trucks
throw balls
get in bed with mom and dad in the mornings
go to the playground
swim
try on mom and dads shoes
turn on the car alarm by pushing the red button on the keys and then run!
take everything out of every single cupboard and drawer in house
play hide and seek

I was really bad at taking pictures this summer. But here are a few. He is growing up so fast and we have a lot of fun! I wake up every morning wondering what funny thing he is going to do today!

Stuck in the pot! Cowboy! My dad visited a couple times this summer and Kase is fascinated with his boots and hat. He is also really into shoes right now. If its quiet in the house I know I'll find Kase in mine or Marks closet trying on all our shoes. Trouble! Kase climbs on everything, the higher the better. Because of this, his body is a giant bruise. He doesn't scare very easily and he is very adventurous. We swam a lot this summer and he is fearless of the water, which is both nice and kind of scary because if he gets away from me for just a second he'll run off and do a cannon ball into the deep end. I think swimming lessons are going to have to happen pretty soon. He also has mastered the playground. He loves the slide, the higher the slide, of course the better. I'll need to take pictures next time we go.

Sorry this video is really short. I ran out of video on my camera right when the dancing got really good. But its still funny! For all of you who have been around Kase even for a little bit know that he loves, loves, loves to dance. Here is a quick look at some of his mexican ranchera moves.

Uno

Kase turned 1 this weekend! He celebrated the big day with his two most favorite people, his momma and dad! (At what age will we no longer fit that category?)It rained all day so instead of going swimming like we originally planed we went out to eat and then went and bought some new toys for him to play with indoors. Later in the day he got to eat birthday cake! Poor Kase hasn't had very much sugar in his life so far, due to my sugar free diet and Mark being paranoid about teeth rotting out of his mouth so this was quite the experience for him. We lit a candle and sang happy birthday to him while he just stared in confusion. Finally we got the candle blown out and started giving him little tastes. First he just kept looking at us and then back and the cake. Finally he got a little taste of the frosting and it was all over. He starting shoveling it in. Before we knew it he had gone thru 2 pieces and was covered from head to toe. We then got his new truck out that we got from grandma palmer (thanks grandma) and he played with it til bed time. It wasn't the most exciting birthday but we figured toys, cake and mom and dad, all the bases were covered! We had fun and he seemed to be oblivious that he didn't have any friends to celebrate his big day!

Black Hawk

Mark and I celebrated our 4th anniversary the 2nd of this month. Mark surprised me with a two night stay in Black Hawk Colorado. The hotel we stayed at was sooo nice and fun! We swam, got massages, gambled for the first time ever, and lost 40 bucks. Of course, we ate a lot too! We had such a great time and hopefully we'll be able to go back some time.

Thanks so much for the get away Mark and for the best 4 years of my life! TQM!

Surprise Visitors!

A couple of weeks ago my Dad and uncle PJ spent the afternoon with us. It was so fun to see them and spend some time with them. I wish we lived closer to our families! We can't wait for the day when we can move closer to everybody!

Kase loves company! He was fascinated with the cowboy hats and of course was uncle PJ's instant side kick!
