Can you believe it’s been 3 years? Holy cow, time fly’s!! We decided to go on a little trip as our present to each other for our anniversary and let me say…it was the BOMB! We loved Hilton Head. For those who haven’t gone, you need to. It’s such a cute little town with really nice beach facilities. We played in the water (& watched Ava freak out in laughter every time a little wave came in), read books (while Ava napped of course), and listened to music. It was so relaxing and nice compared to some vacations where you actually need a vacation afterward to recover from the chaos. We gave it 9 out of 10. The only thing that was lacking was length of time to spent there...and I think next time we will leave the kids at home. It's an anniversary trip people, what do you expect me to say.
A couple of weeks ago we went out to Utah to spend time with the Marshalls and for Kennedy’s baptism. She looked like a little bride in her dress, what a doll! The cousins had a lot of fun with Ava and it was so cool for Aaron and I to see them all dote on her so much. Out of 15 cousins, 12 are girls so you can imagine how much attention a baby would get at a Marshall reunion. As one of the oldest cousins, Emery was saying goodbye she hugged Ava and started to walk away. I glimpsed over at Emery and saw her close her eyes and stretch her arms up over her head and say loudly, “I’m never washing my hands again, I just touched Ava.” Or you have Tylee, her 2 year old cousin who saw fit to be Ava’s personal bodyguard, only allowing certain individuals to touch her if she deemed it prudent. Mommy wasn’t even allowed access all the time. That Tylee’s a tough cookie, but she gets the job done! Anyway, it was a blast and we can’t wait to make it back out again.
Ava: "I'm not sure that's wise"
