Mason's First Week at Home

Almost time to go home!! Nana, Aunt Nat, and Daddy all pose during a final visit while still at the hospital.

Grandmother holds Mason while we pack up our hospital room.

On our way home!

Great Grandmom and John are Mason's very first "at home" visitors, greeting us all at the door with goodies upon our arrival home.

With all the Holiday craziness-Mason, Amy, and Riley fell asleep out of exhaustion by mid Christmas morning!!!

Aunt Sarah takes over for baby cuddling duty...

Riley meets Mason for the first time--she isn't quite sure yet about the new center of attention.

We're off to our first Doctor's check up appointment on Christmas eve!

Mason is already becoming quite the ladies man!!!

The exhausted, yet thrilled parents trying to stay conscience through the Christmas celebrations!! Mason was kind enough to take a small nap during the gift exchange--very thoughtful of him.

Mason meets his Great Aunt Kathy and Second Cousin Lorraine for the first time.

Grandpa Joe (aka: Papa Bear) eskimo kisses Mason

Mason loves to hold Auntie Em's hand

Deep thoughts call for striking a pose

Mason's first Church outing at 5 days old

Mason LOVES to sleep on his comfy boppy--it's been our saving grace when all other sleep tactics fail.

Proud Daddy on his way to show off baby Mason to anyone within reach on day 4 :O)

We've renamed swaddling to the "burrito"--his aunt Sarah unwraps the burrito every chance she gets since she thinks he finds it too constricting :O)

Poor daddy, he has faithfully stayed up every night with Mason and it seems to have gotten the better of him...not sure who he fell asleep in mid sentence with though...

While Grandmother Susie and Amy gave Mason his first sponge bath, Mason decided he needed to assist in holding his paci (an item he only enjoys during diaper changes, baths, and occationally during those middle of the night "I'm not tired at all" moments).

Birthday - Tuesday, December 18

Amy started having contractions at school and had to be pulled away from her classroom.

Arriving at the Hospital (around 4:00 pm)

Amy gets her epidural cocktail and is feeling happy (around 5:30 pm)

Amy was sweating even though it was 50 degrees below zero in her room. We had to bundle up.

She is at a 10 and it is delivery time!! (9:00 pm)

You want me to do what???
Everyone is waiting for the good news...

Guess what...

Mason is here!! 6 lbs 14 oz and 19 1/2 inches long (11:04 pm)
