4 Month Check Up
Mason did great at his check up. He weighed 16.1 pounds and his height was 25 1/2 inches. He got his second round of shots yesterday as well and didn't even cry this time! I was so proud and relieved ;) Today we are getting all our stuff ready to leave tomorrow for The Woodlands. We can't wait to go see Tim, Natalie and Fayth! And Grammy and Grandpa of course and Everyone Else that will be in town for the Wedding! See everyone in a couple of days!

~4 Month Milestones~
Well our Baby Boy is now 4 Months Old! And we have learned some new things in the past few weeks:
1. Mason Loves to Sputter and Spit! and due his teething and all the extra saliva in his mouth you usually get a face full! Even though its disgusting he usually has the biggest smile on his face while he is doing it that you just have to laugh.
2. He has found his Toes and the Loves loves Loves to hold on to them especially while you are trying to change his diaper or get him dressed.
3. He is able to see and grab things and even put them right in his mouth, that is where everything ends up :)
4. He is rolling both ways left and right from his tummy to his back and we are working on rolling the other way~from his back to his tummy.
5. He knocks out an 8oz bottle with no problems every night before bed.
6. He is standing with our help and is Almost sitting by himself he can do it for about 3 seconds before he moves his head and falls backwards.
7. He is officially out of any 3 month clothing and is on to 6 month sizes.

Day Light Savings~Boo!!!
I'm tired, it 5am and Mason and I have already been up for an hour. He has had his morning bottle and already spit up on me twice, it was so huge that I have also already had to spot clean the carpet twice as well.
Why does getting up at 4am make such a huge difference than 5am?!? And why does Mason sleep for 12 hours some nights an only 9 hours others~and why do those 12 hour nights never seem to be when I need them to be ;)
He is now being such a sweet boy and playing under his play gym all by himself and I am praying he falls asleep soon so I can go put him back in his bed and I can go climb back into mine! :)

Making the Rounds
We have been a busy busy little family. With in the past month and a half we have made 2 trips to The Woodlands and 1 trip to San Antonio(and all of Kyle's trips to College Station on game days). It has been wonderful to spend so much time with our parents and friends but I am ready to stay put for a while! With the exception of home football games we are not going anywhere until Nat and Tim get married November 19th.

Fall is my most favorite time of year! The weather is changing and it is absolutely BEAUTIFUL outside! I have all our Fall and Halloween decorations out and some how it just makes the whole house feel warm and cozy! Kathryn and I are going to the ScareCrow festival in Chapel Hill this Saturday for our 3rd year in a row, its so much fun I can't wait. Then on Sunday after Church we are going to take Mason to the Pumpkin Patch in Elgin to pick out his first Halloween pumpkin :) I will be sure to take lots of pictures!
In between all of our travels Kyle has managed to get his yearly stomach bug. We quarantined him to the bed room for 3 days. It was pretty yucky he ended up losing 5 pounds~5 pounds he did not need to lose. Mason and I got through it with out getting sick but I was pretty paranoid about everything~cleaning constantly! We are working on trying to get Mason on a schedule, because that is what everyone keeps telling me, the sooner the better. He is doing pretty well sleeping, he goes to bed about 8 or 9 at night and will sleep for 7 hours. Then he eats a bottle and goes right back to sleep for 4-5 more hours. He is still eating 5 ounces about every three hours during the day. He interacts with you~giggling and smiling constantly. And he loves to lay under is play gym! His hands are always in his mouth~poor baby they are always ice cold.

And the Weigh In Was......
Mason Weighed 13 pounds at his 2 Month Check Up!!! And Measured 23.75 inches Long!!! He is a Very Healthy Growing Boy!!! He got his shots as well and screamed through them and continued to scream all the way to San Antonio later that afternoon and all evening. We made it through the night and were good as new the next morning. Thanks to Bubbie and all her help we had a wonderful weekend and came back well rested!

Huge Huge Spit Up!
Yesterday evening in the middle of trying to make dinner and feed Mason, and of course on a day that Kyle ended up working late, Mason had the biggest Spit Up I have ever seen!!! It went EVERYWHERE! He was soaked, I was soaked, the rocking chair was soaked and it was formula so it was nice and sticky as well~Yuck! I'm pretty sure half his bottle came up and I nearly threw up myself~ha~how am I ever going to handle this when he is older??? I wish I had a picture but of course didn't think about it at the time, I will remember next time.
So tomorrow is our 2 month check up with shots and all~I will let you know how it goes and how much he weighs. We are also going to San Antonio to visit Pa and Bubbie for the weekend, we are SO Excited!

Moms have found community through MOPS for almost 40 years - we're your mothering authority. MOPS holds and shares the collected wisdom of mothers and experts (usually one and the same!)
It gives me an opportunity to get out of the house by myself for a few hours and enjoy the company of some other Mothers! They are all wonderful people full of great advice and stories! Thank You Lana!!!

2 Month Check up and Shots tomorrow afternoon!
Tomorrow afternoon we are taking Mason for his Two Month check up and Shots. Any guesses on how much you think he will weigh now??? At our last apt. he weighed 8 pounds 15 ounces. Kyle's guess is that he will weigh 13 pounds, and I am going to say 12 pounds. He is a little Hog~he is eating 5 ounces ever 3 hours(except at night) and has been for the past month. He definitely filled out and fits his big hands and wide feet!

Tropical Storm Hermine
Well thanks to Tropical Storm Hermine and our 5 inches of rain the past couple of days Mason and I have been enjoying just hanging out in our PJs all day long. Its been wonderfully relaxing! We do desperately need to go to the grocery store, I think I have cooked everything possible in our pantry. But how do you go to the grocery store with a baby when its pouring down rain? Kyle says "well you just get wet~that all there is to it." Spoken from someone that has never taken Mason by himself to the store ;) Not the easiest task. He usually has at least two crying fits, but luckily he is still pretty small and people just look at him and say "awww how cute, how old is he?" The rain should be slowing down this afternoon so maybe we will make a brake for it then.

Boppy Baby :)
This is a Picture of Mason a few weeks ago helping me make dinner. He is sitting up all by himself! He is so strong and has been holding up that little head of his from day one!
~Labor Day Weekend~
We spent Labor Day Weekend in The Woodlands with my parents, it was Mason's second time to go see Grandpa and Grammie. The 3 hour drive there on Friday was not very successful. The first 45 minutes were great, then the crying started so we stopped in Brenham and changed a couple of diapers and made an attempt to feed him, but he had no interest in any of that. So we decided to tough it out. We struggled through off and on crying until we were about 5 minutes from my parents house and he was dead asleep! Go figure~right!?!
Saturday was the start of the College Football Season and Kyle was in Heaven, he spent all of Saturday in front of the TV flipping between games. Saturday night we headed out for our first night out together with out Mason. And what did we do~yep thats right~we went to my 10 year High School Reunion! I had a really Great time, it was fun to see so many old friends! I can't wait for the next one! and Thank You Kyle for toughing it out and missing the first Aggie Game of the season to go with me! I promise I will never make you do it again ;)

(This is Jennifer one of my Good friends from High School and my only picture from the reunion, she has two beautiful baby boys, she just had her second 2 weeks ago and she still made it to the reunion!)
Sunday my Mom and I went on a shopping mission to find her a dress for Tim and Nats Wedding. We did not come home with anything but did get some great ideas. Then Aunt Courtney came by and visited for a bit and hugged on Mason. The rest of the day we just hung out and took a few naps~it was so wonderful to have the extra help!
Monday our car ride home was GREAT! Mason slept the whole way! I love three day weekends! All in all we had a good Labor Day Weekend and always love getting to spend time with family and friends!
