Sledding Adventure

We headed out for some sledding this afternoon, something we've been meaning to do with all this fun snow outside.  The kids LOVED it- here's some photos.
Mason and Sophia liked being pulled by daddy.
Weeee! Go Mason.
Hi Sophie!
Here's Matt taking a jump, wow!
Sophie and I...snow bunnies.
It's the girls turn down the hill.
A fun snowy adventure, time for some hot cocoa.

Happy 5th Birthday Mason!

Getting this post together has been a fun trip down memory lane, and has reminded me what is so special about Mason.  Our little early Christmas present five years ago now, Mason has always been such a fun guy!  Here are some of our favorites from these past five years.
Mason was about 2 weeks old in this picture, little perfect feet ready to take on the world.
Born with the thickest hair, Mason looked like a little man.  He was so peaceful as a baby.  The nurses told me his hair would fall out...they were wrong- it never did.
Mason and Matt have always had fun together as father and son.
Starting to explore the world around him.
The famous hair finally gets it's first haircut.  He was 14 months old.
We used Mason as a billboard to announce his little sister was on the way!

Mason has always been the SWEETEST big brother to Sophia.  Even when she would cry from colic when she was 4 months old he would just patiently say, "Please stop crying Sophia, it hurts my ears."  What a patient guy!
My favorite trait of Mason's is his perpetual smile, he always looks on the bright side of life.  From the second he wakes up he is ready for anything and pretty optimistic about things... what a great way to travel through life.
Happy 5th Birthday, we love you Mason!  xoxox Dad, Mom and Sophie

"Gingerman Boy"

Steph and the kiddos making the house smell magical. How many did they end up eating, Steph? I'm sure they both ate their weight in gingerbread cookies! Ha!

Welcome Back 5D!

Just a senseless post about how much we missed our camera.  It came back to us in great shape (warranty's rule!) and they even cleaned some sensor that Matt thought was above and beyond. So, we have been letting it know how much we missed it by taking it everywhere :) :)

Holiday Fun!

Our weekend can be summed up with a few words:  Snow, gingerbread, shoveling, icing, and family times.  Here's a few pics, we are crossing our fingers that the 5D makes it back in time for Mason's birthday and Christmas... Santa?
Gingerbread icing face, Sophia loved decorating the cookies and eating them up!  Video to come...
Run as fast as you can!!
We tried to get some cute pics of the two in their festive outfits... sweet one of them.
Happy one!

Gingerbread House by Mason

Mason and I made our first of these little gingerbread houses last year, he loved it and has been begging me since he saw them in the store to make his for this year.  Last night he came down with pink-eye and after a visit to the doctor, I decided it was time to do something fun to get his mind off the pink-eye.  We had a great time making our little Molloy gingerbread house.
Here's the start.
Mason concentrating on getting the roof on.
Mason took this picture of me, a little out of focus but I'm in the frame!

The finished product!  He was soooo proud.  We had to find a spot high enough so Cosmo or Sophia won't eat all the candy off.

Just a few more pics that I managed from the Molloy tree-lighting ceremony. Love to all.

Time to Deck the Halls

Sorry, our camera is still in the shop. In the meantime, here is some video of the kiddos we shot tonight. This is one of Stephanie's favorite traditions that she eagerly awaits each year - decorating the Christmas tree. Yay!!!!!!

more to come!

Gobble-Gobble

We have been enjoying some turkey fever in anticipation of Thanksgiving...here's some samples from the kids.

Sophia's Turkey hand-print painting.
Mason's hand-print turkey.  I love the feet!
Mason's turkey from school...this was so cute.  Gumdrops and colored marshmallows...he ate it in about 2 seconds after I snapped these pictures.
Mason so proud with his turkey, he wouldn't even let me help
him carry it or put it in the car- he was very protective of his creation :)

Portrait of Cosmo-by Mason

Cosmo is Mason's #2 buddy here at our house, #1 being Sophia.  He drew a little portrait of his best buddy today complete with his name above.  He loves Cosmo's curly tail as you can see in the drawing... so cute to have an animal to love.

As you can see, a pretty accurate rendition of the little guy!

Dad and Toad

Here's a clip from yesterday (Saturday). It was warm enough to be outside for a little while. Just long enough for Sophia to ham-it-up for the camera. If you couldn't guess, one of Sof's favorite words is, naturally, "Chocolate". lol.

Oh, if you couldn't guess, Sof is waving at YOU!

So, I got tired of those awful photos of me (below this post), so I decided to post a new video, per Steph's request. Here is a recent clip of Sophia at her ballet class. Please forgive the blue cast on the video, Steph shot the movie but forgot to white-balance the camera for the inside of the studio (beginner's mistake). I'm kidding, I forgot to teach her how to use auto mode. This is totally my bad.

In any event, Sophie looks so cute, I'm sure you'll agree. Mom, if you are reading this, your grandbaby is well on her way to becoming a prima ballerina.

Love you all,
MM.
