Welcome to Tucson!
We are starting to settle down in our new home in Tucson.  It really is a whole different world here. This is what I saw at school when I dropped the kids off:

This is what I saw out  my back window when I got home:

I am just glad it wasn't the other way around.

The Next Adventure

Our blissful days of living in Omaha are rapidly coming to an end.  We are on to a new adventure in the blistering heat of Tucson Arizona.

Our orders are to Davis-Monthan Air Force Base and we will arrive there sometime in the beginning of July.  We might be able to take a detour to Utah for a few days to celebrate the 4th of July AKA my birthday, with the fam.

I am excited that I don't have to pack the whole house myself this year, the AF is going to pack us up.

I also want to add how proud of my hubby I am finishing up seven LONG years of school and residency.  It's been a crazy ride, but it's had its really great moments.

It's Been Forever

So, I don't know if anyone even reads this anymore, but I felt the desire to blog a bit.
I read this quote on pinterest that said "If you are nice to me, but not nice to your waiter, you are not a nice person."  It reminded me of a time I was at our favorite Latino Restaurant and a family came in to eat.  I don't think they had ever been there before and so the menu was a bit foreign to them.  The waitress does not speak a lot of English, but we have had her serve us many times and she is about as sweet as they come.  This ignorant family could not understand what she was saying and they had a funny misunderstanding about cheesecake and whether or not they had any.  As the cute little Hispanic waitress walked away they all twittered and giggled and made fun of her.  I felt so bad for her.  What should I have done in this situation?  Should I have said something?  This family was downright rude the entire time they were there and the poor waitress was getting flustered.

Anyway, on a lighter note.  Bryce is getting soooo big and the girls are just growing up right before my very eyes.  Here are some pics to prove it:

Love those little monkeys.

Spilled cereal and spring dresses

Last weekend I had the opportunity to take the girls courtesy of Hayden the sweet little smiley thing in the background to a play at the Rose Theatre in downtown Omaha.  It was so much fun!! The theater is adorable and the girls loved the play especially Clara.  We saw the Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley.  The librarian at the girls school had read the book to them so Clara knew the story line so that helped a lot.  We had a really good time, especially thanks to Lisa for watching Bryce!

Matt wanted some pics of the girls in their "new" sunday dresses, so here ya go sweet cheecks!
As I was taking the pictures Bryce grabbed a box of cereal that Clara girl had left on the floor and dumped it out.  Took  a pic of that.  Not much else exciting going on around here.

Long overdue

We were taking some pics for daddy yesterday and I just loved the top one.  I haven't posted pics of B for a long time so here he is.  He is 10 1/2 months, weighs 20 lbs, crawls all over the place, loves to laugh and walk with someone holding his hands.  His sisters love to try to haul him around even though he only weighs a little less than they do. *Note C's proud smile on her face.  And can I say,the kid is a better sleep than my girls put together, must be a boy thing.
I was nervous to have a boy but he is so gosh darn sweet I just want to squeeze him all the time.  I adore the little stinker.

A. turned four a few weeks ago and we had a little birthday party with some kids she has play group with.  I was tired by the end of that, I can see why I have never done that before. But it was fun and she received some really cute gifts.
C turns six on Friday, but she didn't want a party so we are going to go to the Childrens Museum in the morning and go fishing in the afternoon.  The is her idea of the perfect day.  Oh, and crepes for dinner!

My little sugar plum fairy.....

Clara just finished her first year of dance class. I don't know if she will continue next year or not, but here are pics of her (and my) first dance recital!

The little girl next to Clara refused to do anything the whole time.  It was hilarious.  Clara had to prod her just to get her off stage when the dance was over.    Her mom says it takes alot of determination to not move a single muscle for the whole dance!
Clara seemed to really enjoy being on stage after she realized people clap for you when you are done.  Like mother like daughter, right! Yikes.

The Big Sisters

When my little sister Melissa was here she taught Clara to climb trees like a pro.  Since then Ally has been trying to follow in her sisters footsteps but still needs a little help and Clara is there to lend a .... head.
SUCCESS!!

Baby Update! Two Months Already!

We had our two month well check yesterday.  He is doing very well.  I have never had a baby this big.  He weighs 13 lbs 11 oz., and 23 1/2 inches.  That adds up to the 90th percentile for weight, and the 70th for height.  Also, his cranium is in the 50th percentile.  He is a sweet little baby who only wakes once or twice a night and smiles at all of us even when being hen pecked by the girls.
Matt gave him his blessing on Sunday and it was very sweet.  I always love listening to the blessings he gives our kids.  He is such a good daddy!  The last pic is just for Grandma Compton who seems to get a kick out of pics with the kids sticking out their tongues.

A New Baby

Anyone who has been around me the last few weeks knows how eager I was not to be pregnant anymore.  Ughh.  Well, i got my wish one day early.   We were scheduled for a c-section Tuesday the 11th but earlty in the morning on Monday (4:00) I started gettign some very strong contractions.  I was in bed and woke up Matt and told him, I rolled over and realized I was all wet.  My water has never broke before so this was a first for me. So we scrambled to get things ready and took the kids over to a friends house and headed to the hospital.  A few hours later (7:55 am) we had an adorable baby boy.  He was 6 lbs 13 ounces and 18 1/2 inches long.  It took us five days to name him but he is now officially Bryce Eli Compton.  I am officially sick of hospitals and officially sick of c-sections but having that little boy give me kisses on my face while he is looking for lunch makes every minute worth it.  He is very sweet, hardly ever cries unless he is hungry or we are changing his diaper.  Of course I am still on some heavy meds too he is mostly asleep.  We will see his true personality sometime in the next few weeks.
I want to thank all my friends who send messages and gifts and had baby showers for me and called me while I was in the hospital, I know I was mostly doped up and could hardly form a coherent sentence but it made me feel loved.
The little monkey just pooped so off I go on my motherly duties.

Wierd

I am thinking about going private. I can see now why people have decided to do this. On my last post I got four comments all from people I did not know. It was creepy. I know it won't solve all private issues but it disturbs me that people can look at my blog/family and then leave wierd part english messages on it. So please send me your email addresses if you want to be on the list of viewers.
