Time MARCHES on

This Mamma went on a getaway to Oregon to meet up with some good friends. What a wonderful time we had! We headed out to the coast to stay in hotel and relax, and that we did. It was great to see the ocean again and enjoy some salty air. We shopped at the outlets and then stopped at Otis Cafe for some AMAZING food on our way back to Hillsboro. We attended the old ward and saw a lot of old friends, so fun. I got to spend some time at Aaron & Sarah's too for some catching up and good food. It was a wonderful escape and I'm so glad I got to go. Lucky Me!

March is the time we get to celebrate my main squeeze. Happy Birthday! Love You!

 He's my Rhett Butler!

March is also the time to take a break for two. Matthew had a spring break that overlapped with one of the two weeks the boys had off.  They went on some adventures to the local science museum and parks.  Matthew got to go on his own escape into the mountains with his buddies and see some beautiful scenery. It was a great month for everyone!

Lovey Dove

The first weekend in February the boys and I ran down to Albuquerque to meet their newest cousin. We spent some time with Brett & Lori and kids as well as my parents. Since we were in the area we ran over to Mike & Heidi's to stay the night and spend some time. The weekend disappeared to quickly, but I did get to enjoy some yummy barbecue and family time helping Brett celebrate his birthday.

We came home in a bit of a snowstorm to about 8" on the ground. We spent a lot of the month in bed, especially me. It was a rough one for sure. Luckily, I was healthy enough on Valentines to make it special for us. The boys helped me create a special evening for Matthew. We decorated the dining room, candlelight and all. The boys then locked themselves in the office with their dinner and movie while Matthew and I had a romantic evening at home. I love my boys!

Welcome 2011

I know a lot of people that dislike the month of January. I'm actually a pretty big fan. It's the month I get that urge to the spring cleaning in my life. Maybe it's all in the spirit of resolutions. It may be to that there usually isn't much going on so I can recover from the business of the holidays. I'm not very good about keeping on top of things in the moment. So in January I dig out from under the piles that have been growing since Halloween. We started the year off right with a little time in the outdoors with our local family. This place sure is beautiful!

Where does the time go?

Looking back I don't have very many pictures from the month of December. I guess we were just too busy having fun.  We were adjusting to our new schedule as well, with me working now. Life just got a whole lot busier! We met Kylie an d Spencer at the Wildlife Museum and enjoyed their beautiful and festive Christmas light display and Santa's village. We enjoyed watching the Grinch who stole Christmas on their giant screen. It was oh, so bitter cold, but we bundled ourselves up and enjoyed some cocoa along the way.  We love Christmas lights!

Before we knew it Christmas was here. We woke up Christmas Eve and opened a few presents because our cousins were on their way.

It was Nielsen filled Christmas with Mike & Heidi and kids coming up to stay with us from Albuquerque and  Aaron & Sarah and kids staying with her family near by. It was so great spending some time with them. The cousins ALWAYS have a great time together. I took Sarah & Heidi to a Zumba class so we could shake our booties while the boys played with the kids. We visited the Hammond's Candy Factory, walked to the park, built Graham Cracker houses, played some football and after the snow came we got some sledding in too. Fun times were had by all and as always, so hard to see family go. We sure love em'!

November and Family

Let it SNOW!
From the moment we knew we were headed to Denver we have anxiously been awaiting the arrival of this beautiful stuff. Needless to say we were a little excited when it made it's debut.  Apparently they were terribly hungry since they're both munching on it.

Parents are the best, and I think mine in particular are pretty top notch. So, it's always a joyous occasion when they come to visit. The boys LOVE them and we always have so much fun playing games, watching movies and this time we had a fabulous day at the zoo.

THANKSGIVING
I'm struggling to find any pictures from this fabulous holiday. We were so excited to have Brett & Lori and kids come up from Albuquerque to celebrate with us. We had more then enough food and the kids were so content playing together wherever they were. It's always hard to be away from family during the holidays so we loved having them here with us. Thank you for celebrating this time with us.

Student of the Month - So proud of this kid!

As much as video games drive me crazy I can't help but let them play now and again. Just look at the pure joy on those faces. So cute, bed-head and all!

I guess the other memorable event this month is that I got a job working for this place. Lifetime Fitness - the healthy way of life company. It's one pretty fancy-pants gym and I get to play with the kids all day. Plus, I get health insurance while only working part-time hours and I can bring my kids anytime I'm working. Pretty exciting!

It's Autumn Time

Our family has not had the opportunity to have a pet yet, other then a few beta fish. We were unaware that when we moved into our new place that it came with a house pet. Lovingly, we have named him Chester and he is quite the watch-dog (squirrel). Nothing comes into our backyard without him knowing. He's pretty fond of us I think, but he's on Evan's bad-list since he chewed up one of Evan's little doggies that he happen to leave outside. Ooops! We still love ya Chester!

Another wonderful blessing in our gorgeous backyard is the 6 very mature trees. Wow, more leaves then I know what to do with. Many a Saturday was spent raking those bad boys up and yet we didn't make much of a dent I fear. Good family times together though, including Beevus and Chomper!

And who doesn't like to play baseball in the middle of November shirtless. These two!

Family Photos 11/2010

We ventured into Denver to scout out some places for photo opportunities and we found some real winners for our our family shots. Love this crazy bunch of hooligans!

My Handsome Little Men

I'm the luckiest Mamma in the world to have these two in my life!
