Anguish

I grasp at words as I try to express
The feeling, the weight, I try to impress
Emotions are raging, thoughts overflowing,
Mind is racing, I can’t handle the talking.

Like a mass of goop hurled against the wall,
Exploding, splatting, spraying it all.
The cold, damp feeling on your body and face,
Fists of resistance, battered in disgrace.

Chest breathing heavy, the world spun,
Shooting stars in my vision, as I begun
To descend in madness, I grit my teeth,
Gnashing together, I struggle to breathe.

I pace up and down,
My mind foggy,
No decent thought in my brain,
My knees all wobbly,

Like a geyser exploding,
Words lose their meaning,
There’s no point to fight.
I bid the world good night.

My Friend’s a Detective

My friend’s a detective, and I hate it!

Sure, it’s never a dull moment with him. Everywhere we went someone drops dead, and he’s all over that case like white on rice.

How to Get Out of a Creative Slump

The holidays has not been kind to me. It never was for almost a decade, actually.

Hence I have been inactive as I felt the creative burnout.

In any case, here I am, procrastinating on work, so I out to “create” something to get me in gear.

Night Photography is Hard

A student practicing before a performance.

Raise your hands if you’ve tried taking a photo in low light conditions, and failed at it.

I certainly am one of you, then.

Photography needs light to properly record an image. Too much light, and it’s too bright, not enough light, and it’s either too dark or blurry.

How do you photograph at night? How do you photograph in low light conditions?

Do You Remember The Times of Your Life?

Photo by Michael Burrows on Pexels.com

Have you ever found yourself looking at an old photo thinking of when or where or whatever details about that particular shot was?

Before, when printed photos was the norm, it was not uncommon for the details to be written down at the back of the photo.

“Grandma’s birthday party, 19xx, with Uncle Joe and Aunt Jane.”

I found an old photo I took using a digital camera. It just says the year, but I could not even point out any details such as where was the photo taken. I kept looking at the details in the photo – that chair does not look familiar. Was it from a restaurant? What restaurant has that chair? Probably a cafe? Did I got to any cafe then?

I don’t remember.

As I think about the today’s trends on Artificial Intelligence generated photos, I wonder how this could potentially make things worse for us.

Have you ever tried taking a picture of your little furbaby, and get a not so cute image instead?

Believe me, I’ve been there.

The big difference with photographing humans and pets is communication. You can’t tell your pet to do this, do that, hold that pose, look up, nope. We have to wait and find that right moment.

Unfortunately, that right moment does not always come.

I Don’t Know

Photo by Anton Imbro on Pexels.com

I’m living in dark days,
I feel so lost.
The aches in my heart,
I feel it the most.

From all the failures,
From all the betrayals,
From all the mistakes.
The multiple layers.

I grieve the death of a dream,
I feel useless and weak
I want to shout out and scream!
The future look so bleak.

Is hope truly gone?
Is there no redemption?
Is there no chance to be saved?
Is there no solution?

There is A Limit To What I Can Endure

I don’t know how long I can keep this up. I am feeling overwhelmed.

This has been a very heavy price to pay for peace in my life… but for now, I am enduring a different type of turmoil – an aftereffect of the disastrous life that I had led myself into.

In hindsight, I was not in a good mental state then. The decision was from tremendous pressure, that if I do not give in, things will not get any better. That if I do not follow, bad things will happen.
