Flying through the trees

I am going back in time again to post about our great vacation this summer! It does go along with my last post because once again, I over came my fear. The kids really wanted to experience the Smokey Mountains. So, what better way to do that than zip line through the trees that fill those mountains? We didn't think any thing could be better than that! I was fearful. Of course, I was. It involved heights. Maylin was excited until she started to feel my fear. I was shaking in my boots, but I did my best to hold it in for her and you know what? It wasn't so bad! It was actually pretty dang fun. The rest of the family loved it and couldn't figure out why I would be chicken. Maylin rode tandum, but on one line she wanted to go by herself! She had a blast. I am so glad we did this and I am so glad I did it with my family rather than sit out like I usually do...

Found the No Trespassing sign......went under the gate, hey people no judging it is on public land you just have to go on private land for a bit.....and there were like 50 other people doing the same thing. It was a mile hike. Then we found the most incredible God made water slide down the mountain. It was awesome. The granite rocks were so smooth and so slick! Alex was the first to go down, of course. I...
