"Creativity is a drug I cannot live without"- Cecil B. DeMille

All of my children are different. I love them for their individual qualities. Austin is meek and studious. McKenzie has a tender heart. Maylin has an incredible need to show love. Alex is my creative creature. When I saw the above quote, "creativity is a drug I cannot live without," I actually had an epiphany. I realized that is what it must be like to be Alex. The other kids I get. I have a bit of me in them. Alex, however, is very different than me. Yes, we have similarities, but his brain works in a way that I can't get and sometimes makes me tired. It does sometimes get him in trouble.....yes the school called today and he got a warning. Nothing horrible, but something I wo...

Basketball fever

Alex started basketball in October. Yep, just getting around to posting about it. They start tournament this upcoming week. They are heading into tournament as the first seed. They have only lost one game. Alex has had a lot of injuries, but has played through them. The last two games he had a double/double. That means double numbers for score and rebounds. It is a fun team. He is number 11. I got some really great shots! Warming up Announcing the starters.  Loose ball......Alex will fight for that ball. Even in a head lock.  Like the socks? Being color blind he doesn't see how much they clash. Alex and his team mate Addison working on a chestbump twirl to use when they announce the starters.  Alex and his teammate Jens try to steal the ball.  Hanging on even with an elbow to the lip. Guess who ended up with the ball......Alex.
