Day 92 – 365 Day Photo Challenge 2026

A month ago this day we were busy in our respective offices even when we knew we shall have to take an early morning flight to India the next day. There are unavoidable aspects of work life. The day was over before we realize, and an early morning taxi was booked to take us to the airport.

Our son asked, “Do you still want to travel? “. He was genuinely worried. First it was the Middle East conflict and as if it was not enough we heard news saying “Afghanistan is at war with Pakistan”. We were like “OH NO“. Airspace may close at short notice. Flights can change or stop suddenly. Borders can close. One cannot ignore missile and drone strikes. The uncertainity in our situation has increased manifold. Such Is The World That We Live In.

Not a bar code but an aerial close up image of Dutch grounds at sunrise.

Everything went as per the plan except the stress we incurred. We are grateful for all the support, kindness and love we received, making our journey both smooth and unforgettable.ЁЯЩПЁЯМ╕

Be kind and keep smiling!

Oops, a little late but I am linking this post to Tina’s theme for lens artists challenge this week.

Day 91 – 365 Day Photo Challenge 2026

It’s been three months since I jumped into this challenge. In january I looked for winter images, in February for birds, and in March I focused on spring. How to proceed in April?

April is month for reflection and encouraging introspection. No advice to others just some notes to myself.

Kingfisher was not a regular visitor in our garden. The first image was taken in the end of 2017. I missed the bird by a couple of seconds. Not seen any until a couple of weeks ago. Surprisingly had a good show this year. It took me 8 years, I learned my lesson. I made sure the camera was handy whenever we were in Verandah.

Life takes us by surprise. Are we ready to embrace the unknown.

A fellow asked during our monthly book club meet if my blog is only about photos or do I write occassionally. I do write sometimes, right? Ok not like others but still. I am comfortable with sharing images rather than just writing.

Day 89 – 365 Day Photo Challenge 2026

Today we have experienced “all four seasons” but so thankful to your cummulative wishes.

I was able to capture three kinds of flowers

Bluebells

Snowdrops

And crocuses

Hundreds and thousands of crocuses are making their way this season as well. Hurrah!

Looking forward to capturing these beauties along with bees!

Day 88 – 365 Day Photo Challenge 2026

“Nothing stays the same forever”

This image more or less defines our weather situation right now. It’s dark and gloomy. Crocus flowers require warmth and sunlight to open and bloom. We have neither of them.

One can find wild flowers in unexpected places and that’s the beauty. One year I found these crocuces under the rose bushes. How did they reach at this place is a mystery ЁЯШБ

If it is possible I might go and check for crocuses in their usual spots tomorrow. Wish me luck.
