Plum Picking

Jordan's parents have a great plum tree in their backyard. Who better to climb the ladder with Grandpa than Carson? He enjoyed picking the plums and throwing them at the "angry birds." Silly boy, he cracks us up with the things he comes up with.

Date Night with the Mermaid

Carson had a lot of energy, so instead of going to a restuarant, we decided to find some free entertainment for the munchkin. We headed to the Silverton Casino to see their fish tanks with lots of big stingrays and live mermaid swimming around. It's right outside the entrance to Bass Pro Shop, so it was fun to go see their ponds, fish tanks and huge animals too. Carson kept saying: rrrooooaaarr the entire time we were there.

We ended the night eating and playing at McDonalds, which by far has to have been our cheapest date night, but Carson sure loved it!

The Playground

My good friends, Mal & Jade invited us to go check out this new indoor playground place that was having their grand opening so open gym was FREE this week. I like the word free, so we jumped at the chance to go hang out with friends and play indoors.
Carson was a little timid at first, but it didn't take long for him to warm up to the thought of running free and playing on anything and everything. The sky was the limit. He wanted to do everything and had no fear! I was surprised at how well he did playing with other kids, taking his turn, and not being territorial too bad. He had his moments of pushing other kids out of the way, who didn't climb the stairs fast enough, but for the most part he held his own running, jumping and screaming away. They had a zipline, mini trampoline, ball pit, scooter track, rock wall and much more.
We decided to go again on Friday and this time invited Stephanie, Jaxon & Breonna to come too. I think Jaxon and Carson are becoming nice little buddies. They had fun little activities for the kids to promote their summer camps. Elmo made a special appearance and Carson was just fine to sit back watch and wave from a distance. On Friday, he surprised me and ran up to him to give him a hug but the excitement ended when Elmo picked him up - Carson burst into tears and was pretty terrified after that. I wish I got a better picture of his face, it was priceless.

On Tuesday we left with balloon hats and swords and Friday Carson got a yellow fish painted on his arm. It was the perfect morning activity to wear him out for his afternoon nap.
