This blog post has absolutely no theme. Random pics, random events, random stories. I am so bad about documenting all the funny stuff that the boys say and I am going to try really, really hard about being better about it. Here's a couple from last night:
We went to the Hobby Center last night to see Shrek: The Musical. The show was incredible and we had so much fun. Huddy's response when we got in the car was "That was awesome!". But, before the show started I was making everyone go to the potty so that we wouldn't have to get up during the show...
Me: "Jackson- do you want to go with me to the bathroom or with Daddy?"
Jackson: "I wanna go with you, Mom". (surprise- he almost never wants to go in the "ladies'" restroom).
Me (in my stall, Jackson was next door in his): "Jackson? Do you need help with your belt?"
Jackson (very loudly so that I can hear him next door): "No, Mommy. I'm just going to take my pee-pee out of the hole. You don't get it. It's just how us mans do it".
Alllllllrighty then...
Then we are out of our stalls and I begin to wash my hands.
Me: "Jackson...come on. Wash your hands".
Jackson: "Aww, man! I knew I should have gone with Dad. We don't have to wash our hands in his bathroom."
Nice. You should have seen Nate trying to explain that one.
The boys are now very, very into baseball. I've been told that Jackson has a real natural talent. I wish I could say he gets that from his mom. :) Here's a couple of pics of them practicing batting in the cul-de-sac. Don't even ask me how he sees in this batting helmet.
Football season at the McCarty's is a big event. It mostly entails 3 boys on the couch with no shirts on eating while mom cooks and cleans up. The best part is when I am done, I get to go shopping ALONE while the boys watch game after game after game. I love football season. Here's Huddy getting ready for some football.

A Lot About Nothing

Here's a pic of the boys before Shrek last night. They looked so precious in their dress up clothes. Too bad their shirts didn't stay in past the first bathroom break.
I love this picture for some reason. Doesn't he look so old? He's like "what, mom? I'm too busy being cool for any more pictures".
I LOVE this pic too. Ash and I wore the babies out shopping and they both crashed in the backseat.
That's right, folks. Big. Boy. Undies. About 10 minutes after this picture was taken he peed on the kitchen floor. We've got a little more work to do. It is too funny though...every time he goes to the potty he says "Call Pawpaw. Pawpaw's gonna be so happy!". Maybe he needs to move in with Pawpaw and Gigi while he potty trains.

Uncle Joe
Most of you know that my Uncle Joe passed away last month. These pictures were taken a couple of weeks before he passed. It was such a happy day. He loved being in the pool and being able to use his legs. He kept telling us that he could still swim, but we didn't believe him so every time we turned our heads, he would scoot himself off the step just to scare the crap out of us. Believe it or not, he could still swim pretty well! He was so happy to be there and to be with all of us. He told Nathan and I stories about his teenage years with all the crazy Schnitzer boys and we were in tears laughing. We are all going to miss him so much. My dad's birthday just passed and it just wasn't the same without Uncle Joe there. RIP Uncle Joe.

For My Aunt Gloria...
And anyone else who is still reading! I am sure I have lost most of my followers by now. I have lost most of my mind too...so at least I have an excuse! Really, we can hardly keep up with every day life, much less a blog. But, I know there are a few people that still care what we are up to, so I will do my best to fill you in right now. We have been on the go most of the summer. We took a little trip almost every weekend in July. The boys and I went to stay with my law school friend, Molly and her 2 little boys and had a great time. Jackson had his first "sleepover" with James and thought it was soooo "awesome dude". My friend Kelly and her kiddos came over Friday night. If you will remember most of my law school ladies and I all got pregnant with our firsts and seconds the same year, so we all have 2 kids pretty much the same age. It is way fun and WAY crazy when we are all together. Then Nathan and I took the kids to San Antonio for a few days. We stayed on the Riverwalk, went back to Sea World, toured Natural Bridge Caverns, the Alamo, and went to El Mercado where the boys got to see Michael Jackson LIVE! :) I will post pics of the trip soon (or in a few months, most likely). We had a blast and it was nice to get away. Finally, the first weekend in August we had our Annual Plastics Vacay (if you will remember last year we went to Wimberely). We rented a big beach house in Pointe West in Galveston and went at it! It was a toddler beachfest of grand proportions! There were 5 families total: which included 10 adults, one 4-year old, and four 2 year olds! That was 15 people total and we just realized that next year we will likely be 19 people total (4 babies by Summer 2011- NOT in my family though!)! We had a blast though. The moms spend a large majority of the time in the kitchen, but at least we were together! Here's a few pictures from the trip that Jason Rocha (one of the daddies took)...I always have to steal their pics because I never download from my camera! Thanks Rochas!! Here's individual pics of all the kids and then a few more for your viewing pleasure...

McCarty Update
Well, HELLO!! Where the hell have you guys been?? We've been here, dudes. And, we have been BUSY. So much has happened I don't even know where to begin. First, Nathan and I both have slightly new jobs. Nathan started his in November and loves it and I started mine at the beginning of March and am loving it as well. Jackson is crazy-big now...he even went to see a 9:30 movie with the "mans" on Saturday night. He is so much fun and smart and sweet. 4 is a great age. I wish I could say the same about 2. Huddy went from Mommy's Angel to Mommy's Devil in a few short weeks. He is a nut. However, he did make the 1o finalists for the Sugar Land's Cutest Contest. He will go in front of the judges this Saturday. Let's hope he can refrain from saying "Poo poo" or "shake my butt" while he's on stage. The boys stay with our good friend Amy now while Mommy and Daddy work. It is working out great for us...I just hope Amy keeps enjoying it. The boys are with their best friends all day and Amy has become their second mom. We couldn't be happier. Jackson will start Pre-K at a new school next year and he is super excited. It is a private school that goes through 12th grade so they have "sports" and Jackson thinks that is all they will be doing there. Little does he know...I will try to be better about posting, but no promises. Life is way too crazy these days...but we wouldn't have it any other way!
Here's some family pics that our good friend, Jason Rocha, attorney by day, photographer by weekend, took for us. We love them! Thanks, Jason.
