Christmas #2

Friday morning, Granny & Grandy headed back to the Upstate but not before attempting a picture with the grandkids. They actually attempted several but this one is the best by a long shot!

A couple hours later, Pop & Grammy rolled into town to help us celebrate Christmas again. We had a great time playing in the afternoon. Jack showed off his new train table and Anna showed off her new stroller and beads.

That evening we opened more gifts. Jack was VERY into presents this time around and pretty much helped everyone open all their gifts. Here he is with Grammy, helping Hank open up his gift (homemade dog treats)!

Showing Anna his new lap table.

But not to be left out, Anna had to show off hers, too.

Reading with Daddy while the others opened gifts.

Here's Jack "helping" Pop.

Uncle Mason opening up his gift. I guess Jack was too busy doing something else to help him.

Anna loved rolling around on her new sleeping bag.

Grammy (and Linda) made us this beautiful quilt! When we unfolded it to get a better look, everyone decided they just had to come sit on it with us.

Saturday morning, Anna had fun walking around showing off her new Minnie Mouse sunglasses (though you can't actually see them in this picture) and her new up-do!

Later, she sat in the garage and watched the boys play Jack's version of racket ball while everyone else helped Mason clean his truck.

It's actually more like golf than racket ball, but he had a great time!

Pop, Grammy, and Mason all left Sunday after helping us pack away all of the Christmas decorations - THANK YOU!!! We had a great visit and a wonderful Christmas with everyone!

Here I am with two sleepy kids after a long week of celebrating.

Christmas Morning

If you haven't seen Jack's reaction to the train table that Santa brought him, scroll down a couple posts, but let's just say he LOVES it!!! Here he is moments after seeing it for the first time.

Anna even enjoyed playing with it . . .

. . . until she spotted other things Santa left that were more her style!

Not to be left out, here's a short video of Anna enjoying her new shopping cart.

Here's Marshall with his favorite gift of the morning - another dancing chicken! I bet you can guess who it's from!

We literally had to beg Jack to open other presents. He would only leave the train table for a minute at a time and glance at his other gifts.

Anna loved a stage of singing/dancing animals, given to the kids by the same giver of the dancing chicken!

Ooh, it's a lunch box, but it's an awful lot like a purse to some people!
Granny is getting a little help with her gift.

Here's Grandy opening his Rebels shirt.

A family picture - minus half of the family!
Here's the family photo.
We had to catch Jack in the shot as he pushed a train along the back of the table and Anna wasn't the least bit interested in participating!
More trains . . . .
This was taken many hours later!

For the record, Jack would not stop playing with the train table and eat breakfast or a snack. He sat down for about 15 minutes for lunch and then it was back to the table until 2:00. He napped (with his trains) from 2-4:30 and then came back downstairs to play. He had another 15 minute break for dinner. He saw me eating a cookie and asked for a bite. I told him he had to step away from the table into the kitchen to have a bite and he decided he really didn't want the cookie! It's now 7:00pm and he's STILL playing!

Christmas Eve

We had a low key, but fun filled Christmas Eve day. Granny and Grandy were in town and had a good time playing around the house with the kids in the morning.

Some of us had a successful first poop on the potty!

Then Anna semi-cooperated for a mini photo shoot before we all headed to Chick-Fil-A for lunch.

After lunch, it was so nice that the kids had a great time playing outside.

Later that evening, Jack "helped" me make mac & cheese for Christmas lunch.

We tried to take the annual picture in the rocking chair, but these are the best ones we could get.

After baths, the kids "posed" in front of the tree with their Christmas pajamas.

But really, they were more interested in shaking the presents.
