Every year, Cindy's side of the family gets together for a small reunion in Holland, Tx.  We don't get to go every year, but we were fortunate enough to be there this year.  It takes place in a school cafeteria that has a stage, and Tanner had a great time giving "performances" onstage.  It was really funny to watch her, and I caught the tail end of one of them on video.

Tanner has recently started drawing happy faces, and we think they are pretty good! She just started drawing them and we couldn't believe she could do that without someone showing her how.  It is amazing how fast kids learn!

Spring and summer are our favorite times of year around here.  I wait for them during the other two seasons, and am so happy when they finally come around again.  This particular night was the perfect summer night.  There is absolutely nothing better in life than sitting outside on a warm summer night with a cold drink watching Tanner play and getting to relax with Clinton.  I never want nights like these to end.  They are just perfect.

We met my mom and the Mitschkes for lunch one day in San Antonio after church and Clinton taught Tanner how to make lemonade out of Equal, water, and a lemon.  Yum! ......not!

Since the very first time that she ever tasted it, Tanner has LOVED avocado.  In fact, it was the first four syllable word that she ever said.  She will eat it plain, and with a spoon!

My friend, Brooke, recently turned 28 and we decided to have a girls' night out to celebrate.  We started the night with pedicures at our favorite pedicure spot, then we went to dinner at La Hacienda, an excellent Mexican restaurant in San Antonio. We had a great night of good conversation and time away from kids!

It finally rained and we really needed it. We were so excited that we went outside to play in it.  Tanner had so much fun, and we had so much fun watching her.

The next day, we went to my friend Abby's house for some summer fun.  She hosted playgroup and had a giant blow up water slide for the kids. They loved it, and it was nice to do something summery. 

Jacob graduated from high school this weekend and we couldn't be more proud of him! He is going on to welding school starting in the spring, so he won't have much of a break!
