Bunnies!

I recently took pictures of a really cute little 1 year old and her mother wanted a few Easter shots of her so she brought a couple of bunnies to use as props.  Tanner thought they were "sooooo cute" and had a really good time petting them before we did the shoot.

Easter 2011

After the shower, GiGi, YaYa, Logan, and the Mitschkes stayed for some Easter fun.  We hunted Easter eggs, and YaYa surprised all of the kids some Easter goodies!

 And they're off!

Our last date and Clinton's race

The morning of the shower, Clinton ran in the annual Easter 5k that we have in Pleasanton. It goes through our neighborhood  so Randy, Cindy, Tanner, and I walked down to the entrance of the neighborhood to watch him when he came through.  He ended up getting 2nd place overall.  Way to go, babe!

Tanner enjoyed picking flowers while we waited for him.

The night before, Randy and Cindy watched Tanner for us and we were able to go on one last date before the baby comes.  We went to eat at the Tower of the Americas. There is a restaurant at the top that spins around and we have wanted to go since we moved here but have never gotten to.  On the way there, Clinton played a really sweet song for me and gave me a bracelet with a heart charm on it. One side of the heart is big and the other is little, representing a mother and a child.  I was so surprised, and I absolutely love it! He is so sweet, and I couldn't ask for more in a husband.

Visit from Gammie and PawPaw

Two days before the shower, Gammie and PawPaw came up to visit and stay through all of the festivities. Clinton was off of work one of those days so we decided to go on a hike at the state natural area that is about 20 minutes from Pleasanton. It is really pretty there, and there is a lot of exploring that can be done. Tanner was able to eat some blackberries right of the bush and I was able to get some exercise for my very pregnant body.  We had a really good time.

Tanner had a "walking stick" that she picked up on her own. She didn't want to walk with it a lot of the time, though, so I ended up holding it a lot.

Tanner was trying to skip rocks.  She thought that was pretty neat!

Our baby shower

My good friends Amy and  Cassie, along with my mom and Haley, put together an amazing baby shower for me at Amy's house.  They made tons of decorations and all kinds of wonderful foods centered around a theme of baby birds. Amy even handmade the banner, a table runner, and several other decorations, along with some items for the baby.  There were so many beautiful things to look at and it really was amazing. I am using birds in the nursery and they decided to use birds in the decorations so I got to keep several of the things they used to put in the baby's room. They really went above and beyond and the shower was awesome. We got so many wonderful gifts for the baby, too, and we couldn't be more thankful to everyone who attended and sent gifts.

Amy even made petit fours and they were so delicious!
Amy made this wreath. It now graces the door of the nursery.
My good friend, Lauren, made this diaper cake. It was so cute, and I'm sure we will get lots of use out of it!

This is a quilt that Gammie made for the baby. She had made one for Tanner, too, and now the new baby has one. Thank you, Gammie.

Amy got these cute PJs for Tanner. She was so excited!
This pretty much sums up what the kids did during the entire shower...
