...and Happy New Year or as
Jeff says "Happy Day of Gregorian Calenderic Oppression".
Our internet has (hopefully) returned until we are able to make it permanent, so I thought to make the most of it and have a post-Christmas post. Christmas Day was good. Cheryl and I woke up early and started with our stockings and took pictures as we opened our presents (which were great). We talked to our families over the phone and were able to participate in present opening for some. Unfortunately, we could not video conference as it requires a working internet connection.
Our friends David & Kristen, with Tot in tow (aka The Travelling Chapmans), safely made the trip over the pond and arrived on Boxing Day. Apparently most public transportation is shut down on Boxing Day (Dec. 26) as well as Christmas Day which made it a challenge to get them to our flat since we do not own a car, however a simple taxi ride was all we needed.
We have been up to central London a couple of times with The Traveling Chapmans and are headed to Stonehenge tomorrow and the Ireland to ring in the New Year.
Happy New Year everyone!!!!

Hello all. Long time, no post. Sorry for my long overdue absence. Things starting getting very crazy after Thanksgiving, which was good by the way. Additionally, for the last week our "free" internet stopped working so I am providing this update from the Croydon central library. Hence, the reason we have not been available on iChat and have not been super responsive to email.
Cheryl and I are doing very well and are very excited for the holidays. Even with all the difficulties of Christmas shopping for our family via the internet. Our very excellent friends David & Kristen along with the Tot will be arriving here in London in only 9 days!!! How crazy is that, our first visitors! We can't wait for them to be here. Its going to be a great 2 weeks with them and not at work.
Hopefully, our internet situation will be resolved soon, i.e. our neighbor gets it fixed, so we can continue to update on our holdiays goings-on.
