Somewhere In Between: January 2006
Taken by Scott at a cafe in Aswan, Egypt - May 2006

I can't take credit for the title. It is from the Product Red website. Product Red was just announced on Friday at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland. Click here for the news.

Product Red was founded by Bono and Bobby Shriver of DATA as a new and creative method to provide further financing to The Global Fund. The Global Fund is set up to fight against AIDS, tuberculosis (TB), and malaria; all treatable or preventable diseases that are sweeping across Third World countries.

Product Red's first partners are American Express, GAP, Giorgio Armani, & Converse. Unfortunately, for most (if not all) of the readers, these products are only going to be available in the UK starting in Spring 2006. GAP has already stated they will be launching Product Red in the US starting in the fall. You can sign-up for email notifications for news on the products you are interested in.

A little DMB to start things off. Apologies for the long absence everyone. Some of you may even have given up on me. As some of you know, Cheryl is in the States as her parents and brother are moving to Chicago this weekend. Keep them in your prayers as they will be on the roads for several days.

Again, I posted a good paragraph about my job, as that was part of my absence, however its just not interesting to read about. Basically, I have settled in pretty well at my job (the work itself) even though it has been very different from my previous job. Things have slowed down tremendously, and surprisingly have taken quite a bit of pride into the final product I produced (I am not one who pats themselves on the back).

I thought it would be nice to ease back into blogging with my "Best of 2005", but its now the end of January 2006, perhaps that's a little late. In lieu of a 2005 retrospective, I thought I would do a 2006 future-spective. Some things I am looking forward to in 2006 (in no particular order):

Mission:Impossible III - I know Tom Cruise has gone off the deep end, but I am really excited about this installment as its directed by ALIAS & LOST creator J.J. Abrams (a couple of ALIAS scribes wrote this as well).

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest - I will admit, I scoffed at the concept of the original, but was happily proven wrong. This installment looks more like X2 and less like Matrix Reloaded.

X3 - Hopefully its a good conclusion and not a Matrix Revolutions

Inside Man - This looks really good, with a great cast. Plus. I really enjoy heist movies (I wish I was as smart of these people). This is also the first Spike Lee movie I've ever wanted to see.

The Break-Up - Vince Vaughn at is usual comic best.

More of 2006 to come...What movies are you looking forward to?

I found this little survey over at Sarah's and I thought I would do it as well. Be on the lookout for a post about our Ireland New Year's trip.
