Tess's 3rd birthday and Cinderella party

Tess turned 3! Since she was 2 she told everyone she was 3 so she is really good at saying 3!

Tess got a princess castle, some princesses, new dress ups and a princess counting book.
We went to the park for playgroup. It was a beautiful warm, sunny day!

That night we had cupcakes with the family. We could barely talk Tess into coming to the table because she was so exhausted after spending the day at two different parks and playing all day long!
Tess didn't want to blow out her candles so the boys helped.
The decorations for the party.
The Princess cake!
Princess Cinderella waiting for her Royal Highness to come!
Tess was so enamored the minute Cinderella walked in! She loved every minute of her party.
She is learning to be a princess. Cinderella played some games and told her story to the kids. She gave Tess a glass slipper that Tess LOVES!

Tess's friends that came to the party!

My friend does an amazing Cinderella! We feel so lucky to be able to have her come and do Tess's party.
Saying goodbye.
Singing to Tess. Apparently Liam was trying to blow out the candle so Brooklyn stopped him and he wasn't very happy about it!
Yum!

We are so happy to have Tess in our family. She is a kind, helpful, happy and spunky little girl. She is happy to do whatever, play whatever and be with whomever. The boys always get her to help them do their chores. She also loves to play with them and do every chance she gets.

Ethan

 One tooth.
 Two teeth!
Ethan came home and said he wanted to be Hedwig for Harry Potter day...this is what we came up with in a few hours!
Ethan had an author visit and I got to go with him. It was a fun evening.
International night at the church! Ethan put on this Japanese Komono.
These lucky fingers rolled the dice in Monopoly to win the game when we were down!

Preston update

Preston puts himself to sleep by sucking on his two fingers on his left hand and cuddling his whoobie. He used to cuddle this one but now will only snuggle his grey one!
He is getting teeth! He now has four.

Dad thought it was funny to make a faux hawk.

He realized you could uncover yourself from your carseat cover.
He started army crawling 4 days before you turned 8 months old!

Just before you turned 9 months old you finally started eating! You wouldn't let us feed you or eat anything. Then all of a sudden you just started eating and within 3 weeks you were eating almost everything!
Who's so big? Preston puts all his effort into it and throws both arms way up in the sky!
The grey whoobie!
Preston is a skinny baby and crawls out of his pants all the time.
He thinks it is hilarious.
Then he started standing up!
Tess and Preston love to have a bath together.
We took you to eat teriyaki and you ate TONS of chicken and broccoli and rice. YUM!
Cole wanted you to watch baby Einstein but I think he liked it more than Preston!
The boys love to torture you and you love it!

Easter

We had a great Easter weekend!

We got some new Easter buckets.

We decorated an egg zoo.

We had an Easter egg hunt on Saturday with our ward friends in the pouring rain.
Everyone got something new to wear to church and a little something to play with!

Warming up

When the weather warms up in Washington this is what the kids do:
And this is what Matt does:

Spring Break in Utah

For Spring Break this year we decided to head to Utah! It was a quick trip but we had a lot of fun. We spent lots of meals with our families and then spent a few days in Arches and Moab with Matt's brother Aaron and his family.

We went to the park with these cousins!

We stopped by Goblin Valley. The boys were climbing on everything! I was a little nervous they were going to fall.

Preston liked his ride!

These boys were in heaven being together again.

Then we went to Arches National Park. This is Sandstone Arch.
We put Preston in the sand and he just kept eating sand and more sand!

More arches!

 The cousins!
These boys all climbed up in this crack!
Adam was dying to hold Preston!
On the way home we stopped at Dead Horse Point.
