Amelia 8th = baptism
We started this blog to document the birth of our first child and growing family, now 8 years later she has gotten baptized. She is kind, obedient, smart, and a beautiful little girl, we are luck to have her.
Grandmas, Grandpas, and even Aunt Dara came with a good portion of our ward to celebrate Amelia's baptism, it was a fun night and a joyous occasion.

Dallas Adventures
My bother Matt and his family were able to come visit for a week this July, and it happen to coincide with my parents visiting Grandpa Truitt in Dallas, so naturally we went to Dallas to see every one. While we were there we hit up one of our favorites the Dallas World Aquarium
Jett was really insistent this trip that I take pictures of everything, he would get mad at me if I didn't, these penguins were one of his must have photos.
So was this lizard
And birds
Cousins
Though the line was long to get in (the people behind us got in trouble for posing on the wall like this after we had moved up, oops)
The dinosaur scale model was pretty cool
Race an animal was a hit too.
Touch lights with grandpa
Big bones were impressive
Not the kids, but my personal favorite by far were the rock displays, so so pretty.
It was a quick trip but fun to see something new.

4th of July 2014
We kicked off our go America celebration with pool time and friends (who brought otter pops)
As the pool started to empty a good game off toss Amelia started
Over the head toss
Then it was on to the show and glow sticks.
The fireworks were a bit loud for Amelia, another fun time.

The Cruise!
My mom has forever been wanting to have the whole family go on a cruise together. This summer we made it happen (minus Arch IV on a mission). It was so fun!
Flew to Florida and played on the beach a day
Then it was onto the boat and off to the Caribbean.
The first stop we didn't picture but we were in Cozumel Mexico, and we tried to go snorkeling, tried being the key word, it didn't go over well with the kids (the waters were a bit rough and the equipment wasn't their size). but we were able to see a sea lion show and spend some time in a nice quite cove that Amelia loved (she had her goggles on and was chasing schools of small fish), and both kids were able to go on a kayak.
Stop 2 was a drive through Belize to see some Mayan ruins and learn about their culture. Here is the view from the bottom of the Temple
And from the top. I have to admit it was a little nerve racking to get those kids up the super narrow wrapping climb, but they loved it.
Stop 3, Honduras, we split off from the main group and did a nature walk
This bridge about ended our marriage because Josh thought it was funny to swing it while Jett and I were crossing (both of us fear heights)
And we got to hold a few animals
The monkeys were super soft
She was very brave and very patient waiting for her turn with the monkey, it was a little hesitant to go to her.
After the walk we had some beach time, in a really beautiful white sand, crystal water, with fish swimming at your toes beach.
Stop 4 was Cayman Islands, were we go to see Sting Ray City, with what felt like hundreds of sting rays swimming all around us and into us, they would come and eat out of your hand too if you were brave enough to let them, it was really neat. That was followed swimming with the dolphins, which everyone loved (*Matt's family had to skip this due to allergies).
He was a little nervous about this part
She was in heaven
This was more fun.
It truly was a great time together, and on ship we got to eat tons of great food, including free self serve ice cream that jett took advantage of every chance, the kids swam in the pools, and we played lots of family card games. There was evening entertainment and a kids club that had themed parties and movies that the kids loved. Would for sure do something like this again, so fun.
