February Update...
Just getting off "Pirates of the Carribean" ride
We got our picture taken with Chip and Dale. Matt and Tyson were on a ride.
Kline hugging one of the chipmunks!
Ready for a ride...the kids really enjoyed the rides!
First trip to DISNEY WORLD!!!! We went as a family to Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. It was AMAZING!!! The kids loved it and Joslyn was amazed by everything. I hope we get to go when she is bigger to enjoy the Princesses. We were at the park from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. It was fun to go on so many rides as a family. "It's a Small World," "Pirates of the Carribean," "Jungle Ride," and so on. Matt and I were able to take turns going on the rides with the boys while the other stayed with Joslyn. It really was MAGICAL!!! We truly wore them out...but, we were able to see and do so much.

A Miracle...
Just wanted to share with you a true miracle that happened last weekend. I was taking the kids for a walk on Friday afternoon. Nathan and Tyson were riding their bikes, Kline on his little tricycle, and I was pushing Joslyn in the stroller. We just went around the block and we were just about home. Kline was several houses ahead of me. I saw our neighbor come outside and then get in her car. Kline was right behind her car and she started to back up. I couldn’t believe my eyes…I saw the white lights on her car and knew she was backing up. All I could do was scream. It was the scariest moment ever… I didn’t think she was going to stop so I just kept on screaming. Matt was working from home and he came running out, neighbors came running out also to see what was the matter. Kline jumped off his tricycle as soon as she started backing up. He only got a bruise on his leg and scratch on his arm. The car did hit him, but he was able to get out of the way. It was a true miracle that he was okay. Our neighbor said she didn’t even see him and she felt so bad and was shaking terribly. We all hugged Kline over and over. It was such a scary moment for our family. I can’t even think about what could have happened. For me witnessing it all it was such a scary experience to see my child right behind a car backing up. Thank goodness she heard my screaming and decided to stop. I haven’t even been able to talk about it without tearing up. Kline said he thought he was going to die. We feel blessed that nothing serious happened and we know that he was watched over by our loving Heavenly Father. We love you, Kline!
Christmas 2010
Here are the kids ready to go downstairs and see if Santa came! They were so excited especially our four-year-old, Kline. He was really into Christmas this year. He is already asking when it is Christmas again. Joslyn was interested in the wrapping, boxes and bows and then her dolls. She is all GIRL!!!! Nathan and Tyson were into giving gifts this year and surprising others. It is fun to watch the excitement of GIVING gifts.

Kline opening a Lego...he got a truck lego. Kline also got a big Optimus Prime Transformer that he was really excited about.

Look at the face on my dolly. She got hold of a candy cane on her own...she knows she has something she is not supposed to have.

Kline with some motorcycle guys from Grandma and Grandpa McOmber...so excited!
Tyson showing his Atlantis Lego and game of Trouble.

I love the excitement on Nathan's face when he saw his air soft gun. I know has shocked and really surprised. He was super happy!

Matt surprised me with a mountain bike. I have been wanting a bike for a long time and now we can go on family bike rides! We have a carrier for Kline and Joslyn and it is fun to ride as a family.

Matt got a kayak! Something you need here in South Florida! Everyone took turns sitting in it...the kids love it.

Joslyn loved all her toys...Pink bear, Pink Princess ride-on toy, Pink purse, pink dolly, pink ball and I am sure a few more Pink things! We love all this pink!

The kids got tickets to Walt Disney Worl!!! We were going to go around Christmas, but with my Dad's passing we weren't able to. They are so excited to go on a family trip to Walt Disney world. We have to go and check it out while we are here. We had a great Christmas this year! It was different this year because we missed Grandpa Wallin. It was hard for me losing my Dad around the holidays. We have special memories of him and were grateful we were able to spend time with family for the funeral in December. December will always have a deeper meaning to me each year!

Christmas Eve
Christmas Eve...2010 was a special evening shared with our friends the Stevens and the Zirkers. We started out with a nice dinner of ham, potatoes, salad, rolls, and egg nog punch. It was delicious. The kids played some games such as "Don't eat Santa" (similar to Don't eat Pete.) and Christmas Charades. It was fun to see them acting. We then had a childrens gift exchange where they had to roll doubles on the dice. They got to choose their gift and they were all so excited with their presents. Joslyn got a little dog from littlest pet shop and she was THRILLED. We then headed home to read the Christmas story in Luke 2, put out our stockings, leave out the sugar cookies and milk for Santa, and open present. They got to choose the present they wanted this year...we didn't do the pjs. All in all it was a special night.

My Dad's Funeral
December 13, 2010 will always be a special day for me to remember. My Dad's funeral was held on this day in American Fork, Utah. It was a beautiful day and one that will stand out in my mind. It started out with a viewing and sharing this time with family and friends who were so dear to my Dad. They shared with me special memories of him that really touched my heart. The closing of the casket is very hard. This was a tender moment for my family. The funeral was a beautiful service. The opening song was sung by grandchildren which Nathan, Tyson, and Kline all participated in. All my sisters and myself took part on the program. I spoke about memories of my Dad during my growing up years and thankfully I was able to get through my talk. My Dad's favorite song was "O Divine Redeemer" and a family friend sang the song so beautifully. The funeral was a wonderful recollection of my Dad's life and his service to his family, in the church, and to his country. He was in the Air Force in WWII and the Korean War. He was a proud veteran for this country. At the cemetary he had full military honors with the 21 gun salute and several flags surrounding the gravesite. He had a flag drapped over his casket which was folded and presented to my mom. That was impressive. All the grandchildren were in awe watching the military presentation. Even though this was hard for me to say good-bye to my father it was a beautiful funeral and I felt comfort and peace. I love you, Dad!

(Norman and Desna are my half brother and sister)
Joslyn's FIRST Birthday!!!
