The Bradshaws

A few of you have already seen this video, but we've finally got it edited to blog-length. So, here is Ben's first Pinewood Derby - May 2008. He didn't win, but we sure had fun.

We had the boys with us this Fourth of July (yah!) and it was a lot of fun. We went to the traditional Calder Family picnic down in Provo and although the boys were a little hesitant at first, they wound up having a blast throwing a frisbee around with Uncle Matt and squirting water guns with their new cousins. That evening we set off some fireworks in front of our house. The boys loved it and ran around waving sparklers getting more and more excited with each firework, that was basically exactly the same as the one before it. After that we grabbed a quilt and walked one block south over to Sugarhouse Park. It was even more crowded than I expected. They had a great display and afterwards the boys were so tired that they didn't object to going straight to bed. Then Dave and I settled in to listen to all the honking horns, laughing and yelling coming in our window from the dispersing crowd.
