Cardinals!!

Just had to post about the Cardinals vs Vikings game! It was sweet... the final score was 30 to 17! Such a fun game to watch, especially when your team wins! I couldn't believe all the Vikings fans that were there though. Glad we showed them who was boss ;) It was so fun to have JD's brother Nick and his son Gabe come down and go to the game with us. Jace had fun hanging out with his cousin and was devastated that he had to leave so soon. It was nice to have them for a few days at least!

Looks like we're at "girls choice" with our matching shirts! Haha, also gotta love the random guy in the background... totally makes this pic!!

Nick and Gabe

These guys sit in front of JD at every game and they are ALWAYS wearing these hats... this time they had them decked out in Christmas lights, very festive!!

Sleepy

Thanksgiving weekend the kids got worn out! On our way home from Santan Flats I turned around to see this....

Haha, so rare that they would all be asleep at the same time!! So cute too ;)
Meanwhile at a stoplight I glanced over at JD and saw this....
Haha, he must have been pretty worn out too! It's a wonder how we all made it home alive that night!

OH MY HELL...

I am SO SO SO ANNOYED right now! I want to try and keep my blog current especially for my family and I just DREAD posting! Why does it take 30 minutes to upload 2 PICS??! I don't get it. Is it my internet connection? Is it my new camera that has more mega pixels than my old one? Or is it Blogger cuz everyone in this universe has a blog now??!! I don't know but I can't stand it anymore. I just sat down and tried to post some pics of the Holiday so far and I have been unsuccessful at uploading 2 pics... that's it! I want to know how some of my friends who post tons of pics are able to do it?? Do you literally have to sit at your computer ALL DAY LONG?!! Whatever is going on I am so completely bugged right now.... can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong, or how to fix this problem, or is anyone else having problems?! Ugh.... I want to post our famiy pictures but won't if it's gonna take me years! HELP.

28 is Great!

Happy Birthday to me! This year was just one of those really good birthday years. It seemed like everyone and their dog texted me or called me, thank you all so much it really made my day! Last week my really good friends in my ward took me out to dinner at Oregano's. So yummy!! It was the sweetest thing, they called me and asked if they could take me out for my birthday. I was surprised because I didn't even tell anyone when it was. I love my girls! We seriously just ate and hung out forever at the restaurant, talking and laughing and having a good time. JD was like, what the hell do you guys talk about for 3 hours! Haha! Thanks girlies you are the best!

Me, Annie, & Tiffany

JD seriously spoiled me rotten this year too! Thanks babe I loved it all! A HUGE thanks to Annie who offered and insisted that she watch my kids that night so we could go out. It's not like she doesn't have 3 of her own as well!

I guess I should also mention my last minute gift too! We went into the mall after our dinner and I was using up one of my gift cards and afterwards went out of the store to meet back up with JD. Just happened to be right in front of a stupid kiosk. I was very firm in telling the chick that I was NOT interested nor had time for whatever she wanted to show me. Well, minutes later here comes JD and I'm sitting in the chair and the girl is doing my hair showing me this " amazing awesome straightener!" Haha..... needless to say they wanted 300 bucks for it but JD and his sweet salesman tactics got it for half! Still totally crazy if you ask me but I am going to use it everyday, I swear! JD told the girl that if it wasn't my birthday she could've forgotten about the sale. It's a Her Styler.... ever heard of it??!! And I picked out the Wild Cheetah design... Rawr!

Thanks everyone for a GREAT 28!! xoxox

6 Days....

Well we took the training wheels off on Sunday and made it all the way to Saturday (6 days!) without an accident. JD happened to witness the crash where Jace flew over his handlebars and landed on his face in the middle of the road. Poor guy, he came in the house screaming with a bloody nose and was pretty scraped up everywhere else. He's got a huge goose egg and is pretty swollen around his eyes and nose. I'm happy to say that he's not scarred for life because he jumped on his bike the next day and we even rode them to school today too. And I felt really really bad for my little guy but at the same time I was like, "Crap, we have family pictures in less than 2 weeks!" I'm hoping he is all healed by then...

You can't really see his goose egg or how swollen he is in the pic, but it's the best I could get!

Go Jace, Go Jace, Go, Go, Go Jace!

Last Sunday while JD was out of town I took Jace over to the school parking lot and took off his training wheels. He has been bugging me to do this for months. Why have I not gotten around to it??! Honestly, I took those suckers off and he was out of here!! He loved it! He didn't crash once and was cruising the parking lot forever with the biggest smile on his face. Going over speed bumps and everything! How embarrassing for me, he had been ready to ride w/o training wheels for months. Shame on me for being so lazy! JD got home the next day and was able to see his little boy all grown up! Jace has been serioulsy obsessed with his bike now. It's so simple but such a proud moment for me! I love you buddy.

Oh yah, catching some air off the curb! Haha

AZ State Fair

I love the fair! Always have, always will. Unfortunately my hubby is not a fan... he hates lines, crowds, and greasy fair food. Bummer because I LOVE the food! So I decided to rally the girls together for a night out! We went to the Kelly Clarkson concert that was playing there and it was a Blast! She is so down to earth and has an amazing voice. Afterwards we chowed down on the food and enjoyed some free ferris wheel rides!! I had such a good time and love how I can just be my total self with these girls!

What fair experience would be complete without some cotton candy?!

Now when I mentioned "free" ferris wheel rides it sounded like we were hustling the carnie's!! Haha, not true we just did the whole text this number get free rides type of thing! C'mon we don't have that kind of game anymore! ;)

Halloween 2009

I hate when I have a ton of catch up to do.... I forget everything that I wanted to post about and pretty much just end up captioning all the pics instead. I don't know why but for some reason blogging has just seemed like such a 'chore' lately. I never wanted this to turn into that. Hopefully I can get back into the swing of things and enjoy doing this again. Although it would help if my computer would upload the dang pics faster! Anyways, here are the pictures from our Halloween... and can you believe it, short sleaves.... no winter coats!!! Love it ;)

Trunk or Treat

Carving Pumpkins with Mommy!!!

Its funny cuz JD refused to let Jace be a superhero like every other kid his age, so we talked him into a vampire... nobody recognized him!! The black hair totally throws you off!

THE VAMP..... Aawww aaawww aaawww!

THE WITCH...... hee hee heeeee!!

THE LiL' Pumpkin...... BOO!

THE PARENTS????

Haha, we threw this together in about 30 minutes Halloween night!!

Trick or Treating in the hood! Kids loved it, I could NOT keep up with them! Seriously it was me in my boots and my prego friend running after them door to door :)

Dracula and his Bride!!

Posing at the end of the night with the Bentz fam. Good times!

JD 28th Bday!

For JD's Birthday we went to Chevelle in concert. They put on a great show as usual and we had a great time with our friends Mike and Jess. Happy Birthday baby, man you're gettin' old (although you would never guess the way you handled that mosh pit)!!!

Avery's BDay

Avery turned 3 a few weeks ago and I am just getting around to posting about it! Nothing too eventful.... cake, presents, dinner. Ya know, the usual! I can't believe how fast our kids are growing up. I remember when Jace turned 3... weird! Anyways I did want to post a few things about Avery and her adventures or shall I say her mischevious ways!! (This girl is killing me!)

I wanted to try and make a special cake for Avery's Birthday. I don't know why I always think that I can whip up a really fancy cute cake and it will be no big deal.... but it's always way harder than I expect!! And it never looks quite like I imagine it... ever! But my intentions are always good ;) Well after messing around with this cake of hers forever I finally just said I'm done with it... it's not going to get much better. So I covered it in wrap and set it aside on the counter for her birthday the next day. I was proud of my work, even if it looked a little pathetic. So that night after I had put all the kids in bed, I went to my room to have a little "me time." I was on the computer when I heard someone quietly come into my room. I knew it couldn't have been JD since he just barely left for the gym. Well, in bops Avery... I didn't look up from my computer when she came and laid next to me in bed. A few minutes passed and I looked over at her and I JUST G-A-S-P-E-D! Chocolate cake and red frosting smeared all over her pj's as evidence of what she had been up to while I thought she was in bed. I ran downstairs to behold a huge mess of cake on the floor and counter. My cake that I had worked so hard on! I was about to have a heart attack I was SO MAD. I ran upstairs to get Avery and she had already climbed back into her own bed claiming that she was tired. (she knew she was in for it) I grabbed her and took her downstairs to look at the mess she made and her cake that she ruined. I probably overreacted and yelled a little too loud at her but I worked so hard on that stupid cake! And had it been Jace or Brody's cake that she destroyed she would have really gotten it, but what could I do? It was her own damn cake! Haha, so anyways.... I got over it. It's a cake, right? Not worth it! This girl of ours is such a little independent spit fire. We love her and the funny little things that she says. She is just so different than Jace was and it's proving to be a challenge for me. I don't know how to handle her sometimes. She's so hot and cold. Here's just a little example of how different her and Jace are:

The other day Brody was playing with a toy of hers and she kept grabbing it away from him and our conversation went like this....

Me: Avery, please let Brody play with that.
Avery: NO!
Me: Jesus would share
(at this point Jace always said, "ok, he can have it then.")
Avery: NOOO, Jesus would NOT share!
Me: YES he WOULD!
Avery: No he would NOT!

I had to keep myself from busting up laughing just because it was so funny and unexpected of her to say. Anyways, she has a mind of her own and doesn't back down ever! Gotta love her though (and we do!) Here are the pics from her birthday...

The beloved princess crown cake. This pic doesn't do the damage justice... at least you can still make out her name!

Seriously, how could I stay mad at that little face?!

Happy Birthday Avery!!
I really need to catch up on posting. I have tons of pics from our Lake Powell trip that will take forever for me to upload. JD's Bday is tomorrow and then all the Halloween festivities... hopefully I get caught up soon! I miss all you family.... and especially my little sis who had her baby this morning!!! I want to see pics ASAP Lachelle! Love you all xoxoxoxo

SO SAD

So you know how I got Daughtry tickets?? And you know how I was SOOO EXCITED?? Well, the concert was scheduled for Aug. and when the day came the concert got CANCELLED!! Honestly! He got sick or something like that... so they set a reschedule date and seriously, the only stupid day out of the whole year that I actually have plans Oct. 13th! Ugh!! Don't feel too bad for me though, we will be in Lake Powell with my sis in law! I just might have to blast some Daughtry on the houseboat that day just to represent! Holla!

Miscellaneous

Not much to blog about. Just a few pics...

Me and Aves in our matching outfits on our way to "Girls Night" at the church. I love this baby girl SO much! She will turn 3 in two weeks and I can't believe it.

Floating the Salt River with our friends Kim and Lance. So fun (even if I did hit a couple of trees!) We need to do it again :)

I love watching football. We live next to Higley High and can always hear the band playing on Friday nights. Brings back a lot of fun highschool memories. We decided to walk over and check out their Homecoming game this week. It's a fun thing to do with the kids. They have fun hanging out on the bleachers and checking things out. Avery likes watching the cheerleaders, Jace likes watching the football players, and Brody likes watching the weird teenagers!! Oh yeah, Higley KILLED the other team too.

Ten years ago, this hottie was on the field "crushing skulls" as he would so humbly and politely put it!! lol

Tonto Creek

Since we have never been camping as a family before we decided to join our ward for the annual campout at Tonto Creek in Payson, AZ. JD was pretty excited to get some gear and take the kids. You probably wouldn't figure me to like camping but I actually had a lot of fun and talked JD into taking us all again in a few weeks! Brody struggled a little bit at night and it was kindof hard for him to walk around on the unlevel ground but all in all it was a success! (The sleeping ground was actually really hard but we know what to do for next time!)

All packed up and ready to go. Brody was passed out before we hit the freeway! And Avery is in the weird smile stage. She squints her eyes so bad every time I try and take her pic.

Jace loved this little rock wall that all the kids were climbing up.

This one makes me laugh because it is so typical of Jace. He is so overly concerned and protective of his brother and sister. He was so afraid they were going to fall off the rock!

Such a master at the fire!

Carving our roasting sticks

All packed and ready to head home. I have never seen the kids hands and fingernails so dirty in my life!
