There's No Place Like Home

Well we are officially back in AZ! We left Texas a little sooner than I expected but it didn't bother me any! The summer there went by so fast for me. JD drove us home and was able to stay for about week before heading back out to Texas. It's so nice to be back home, JD and I love it here. And I can officially say that I have experienced this crazy Arizona heat. Man it's HOT HOT HOT! Yesterday I took the kids to the outside mall here and let them play in the water fountains. I was sitting there watching them and I was sweating like no other, thinking that this was almost unbearable! I think it got up to 117 degrees. So hot! Today wasn't as bad, about 10 degrees cooler. Honestly though, it doesn't bother me so much. It's either 2 months of unbearable heat compared to 6 months of miserable COLD! No thanks. My Dad thinks it makes you "weak" to live in a place like this. I think secretly he's just jealous! ;) Anyways, here are some pics of this past week.....

The first morning back, JD got out the water slide and kiddie pool and let the kids run wild in the back yard. They loved it! He even got in on some of the action, clothes and all!

Kids at the fountain at the Santan Mall...

Brody is officially walking now! Love seeing him toddle around everywhere.

We were able to catch a Diamondbacks game while JD was here...

311 came to town and I was so excited that we were actually here in time to see them! JD and I had SO much fun. I love concerts, and these guys!!

Gotta model our 311 gear of course!

Sadly, JD is gone now... something about work and having bills to pay and a family to feed! I miss him badly already. xoxoxo Anyways...
Now we (as in me, Leisha, and the kiddies) are off to Idaho tomorrow morning. I wanted to go see family before Jace starts all day Kindergarten the beginning of next month. Crazy to think we already have a Kindergartner! Where does the time go?! Can't wait to see all my family :)

SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMGosh!! I can't contain myself right now. I want to tell someone about this because I am SO EXCITED but it's nearly 1am and shocker, I am the only one up! JD's out of town and I texted him but he's sleeping so I guess the blog will have to do. Well I just bought tickets to go see Daughtry Aug. 18th. He's at the Marquee Theatre in Tempe which is my all time favorite concert venue. It's small and I always make my way up to the very front! I just happened to check his website tonight and AAHHHH can someone please share in this excitement with me?! I am also going to be buying his CD which comes out tomorrow. Guess what I'll be listening to on our roadtrip to Idaho?! Haha, I'm such a dork... but I LOVE him. So excited! :)

Oh yeah, if JD is unable to go with me (which I will drag him there if he is actually in town) but if he can't go, I will be needing someone to take his place! Any volunteers? :)

God Bless America....

Land that I love... our 4th in El Paso, TX! We had a great holiday, JD had to work as usual so we didn't see much of him that day but still managed to have fun! I got up bright and early so that I could take the kids over to the westside of town and see the parade. They were so excited to see the parade that it made the early morning worth it!

After the parade we headed over to IHOP for some breakfast! Brody passed out in the car on the way there, he was pooped! I love looking in my rear view mirror and seeing these faces...

Notice my hippie sis in the pic?! Love the orange hair? Yah, she begged me to do it! Haha, wasn't quite what she had in mind. All I did was pull it through the cap, she did the rest so I take no credit! You're still beautiful Leisha ;)

Later that night we went to our Stake's BBQ and watched the fireworks on the church grounds. The kids had a blast running around with all the other hooligans. Jace commented that this was "the second best day of my life!" (I forgot to ask what the first was!) Poor guy doesn't get out much I guess, LOL!

My sister in law and my neices and nephew came too! The kids had a lot of fun together.

The girls sittin back and enjoying the fireworks!

I LOVE these last two pics... I hope they always love eachother this much!

I just want to end by saying how blessed and lucky I feel to live in this country. I am thankful for the freedoms that I enjoy and for those who fought (and are still fighting) so hard so that I can live the way that I do. I am proud to be an American! Hope you all had a great 4th of July. I am crossing my fingers that next year we actually get to enjoy it in Idaho Falls with all our family!
