YAY for the Circus!

Yesterday, Malia went to the Circus with Gramme and Grandpa. Daddy and mommy were not invited. :( However, we got the full report when Malia returned home. She loved the camels and clowns, but wasn't too sure of the elephants...must be the size. She had an awesome time! Thank you Gramme and Grandpa for taking her to the Circus!

Malia & Dada

You wouldn't think trying to take a picture of your child showing her teeth would be that difficult. Wow! It is much harder than you think. Anyhow, yesterday Wes was able to capture a few that makes me laugh and also makes my heart melt. See for your self...

We've been referring to her as "Snaggle tooth".

Cheese!

Here are some pictures of Malia and her daddy, that I think are so sweet.

Playing peek-a-boo

Hanging out with Daddy is FUN!

Dada, what's out there?

Melts my heart!

Malia's 9 month check up

Hi friends and family! Malia's 9 month check up went great. We were instructed it is time to venture into the world of "real" food. Which is a good thing, because she does not like stage 3 baby food dinners. We gave her some mac & cheese the other night and she loved it. However, when we tried to give her peas she decided squishing them between her fingers was way more interesting than actually eating them.

How big is she...
height- 30 inches
weight- 20 lbs 14 oz

New things she can do this month...
- Stand for a few seconds without help before falling
- Drinks from a sippy cup here and there
- Likes to take showers with mommy
- Her 1st top front tooth came in (3 teeth total)
- Starting to brush her teeth (she just wants to chew on it)

I think someone is ready for the Easter Bunny

Mommy, what is this you're feeding me?

Okay, I'll give it a try.

Oh yeah, this rocks!

I am saving this for later mommy.

We hope you all are doing well. Malia says she misses her Grandpa/Grandma Lee, Uncle Dave and Iris and hopes to see them soon. She is excited to see Nana, Poppy, Uncle Richard, Aunt Cat, cousin Maya, Uncle Andrew, Aunt Liz, and cousin Ella for Easter.

We love you all and miss you dearly!

Pictures by Matt Daniel Photography

Yesterday Malia and I attended our good friends 1st birthday party, Caleb Dellett. It was an awesome birthday party. It was so much fun to watch Caleb devour his cake and then open all of his gifts. Happy Birthday Caleb!

Also, Matt and Jenna were there with their precious boy Eli. Matt and Jenna are starting their own photography business. I have seen a lot of photographers, but no one compares to Matt and Jenna. After seeing their work, it was an easy decision to have them take our family portraits come Easter weekend. After viewing the pictures they took at Caleb's party, we are even more excited.
Check them out...

If you ever need pictures taken I highly recommend you give them a call.

9 Months old, already?

Our little girl, is now 9 months old!

Yesterday Wes and I visited our friends in the hospital that just had a baby boy, after holding precious Tyler a two day old, it's so hard to believe that Malia just turned 9 months old yesterday. Where does the time go? It almost makes me ready for baby #2. Don't worry we are not in that big of a hurry, but holding a newborn brings back so many memories. It's crazy to think that Malia use to be that size.
Well the last few months have been busy for Malia and us. She is on the go constantly! It's so much fun to watch her grow and to see her little mind always at work. She likes to be vertical, but when she wants to get somewhere fast she drops to all fours and is off. Our poor cats are still getting use to her. They have realized they need to move quicker now when she gets within reach of them. I don't know what it is about our cats, but she thinks it's hilarious to chase them around the house. This past weekend we had beautiful weather and we had her outside a lot playing on the deck, exploring the outdoors, and even had lunch outside. She loves the outdoors!
Here are a few of my latest favorite pictures...
Her new stuff caterpillar...thanks Gramme!

Just enjoying the beautiful weather and having lunch outside.

Trying to firgure out a way around this whole child-proofing idea.

She loves her new big girl PJ's.
I love this sweet little face and those chubby cheeks!

Watch out Simba, here she comes!

It's so hard being a 9 month old! She crashed after a big day outside.

Check back next week and we will post more about our little Munkey-do.
Miss you all!

Malia & her 1st Boy Crush

This weekend I had to go to work and meet with the basketball teams to take team pictures and collect uniforms. I needed Wes to help so we ended up taking Malia with us. She did really well, but when it came time for her nap she started to get a little fussy. I was in the middle of taking pictures and Wes was selling banquet tickets so I asked some of our 8th grade boys to keep her occupied. One of my students, Dillon, decided to help me out and he played with her for over a half an hour. I was impressed how well she did with him considering she just met him. I think she developed her first crush. She was giggling, smiling, laughing, and even put her head on his chest. I had to capture a few pictures, so when she is 16 years old I can show her who her first boyfriend was. Dillon has four siblings, so he is use to playing with babies, he was really good with her. They had a ball!

She loved it!
