MEET THE MASSEYS

We can dance if we want to, we can leave your friends behind. Cause your friends don't dance, and if they don't dance, well they're no friends of mine. Well, it's not the safety dance, but this is Owen's happy dance. When he gets excited enough about something, he'll do this little number. The things most likely to incite the dancing is the anticipation of a bath, getting milk, or vacuuming.

Grammy came to visit this past week, and we all had a good time. It didn't take Owen long to remember who Grammy was, and they were playing and having fun in no time. Unfortunately it was either raining or really cold during this trip, so he couldn't get outside as much as he would like. But, they found plenty of fun things to do around the house. We did manage to get out a couple of times.

After work today we wanted to take advantage of the nice weather and get outside for a little bit. Since Owen is in love with being outside, and he loves to try and wonder around on his own without anyone helping him, we decided to go to the county park where they have several large, wide open fields. We had a good time. Owen didn't stay in the grass as much as I thought he would, mostly because he found a jogging trail that he liked to walk on. He would walk in one direction for about 20 yards, then turn around and walk back. I think he could have done it for hours; he had the biggest smile. Of course, he liked it better when we were pretending to chase him and he felt like he was escaping. If you haven't noticed yet, Owen likes to play with a ball. We took his basketball and football along for the trip, and he hardly put the ball down. He did eventual "allow" me to pry it from his hands. He didn't mind so much when he saw me punt it high into the air. That usually gets at least a chuckle out of him. Here are some pictures from the outing.
