what's up?

I am going to try to play a little catch up here and fill this post with probably more info and pictures then I really should. With our time winding down here in Okinawa it just seems to be a little more hectic around here so our family blog seems to be one of the first things to suffer. But for those of you who are wondering what we've been up to lately, well here you go...

In April we...

ran our first half marathon with some of our friends on IE Island.

Hong Kong

In March a couple of girl friends, Holly and Jessica, and I took a trip to Hong Kong for 4 days. We left our husbands and kids home to fend for themselves as we prepared ourselves for more sight seeing then we figured we could fit into our 4 short days.

We arrived with just enough time to walk down the waterfront to the Hong Kong Walk of Fame.

Riding the trolley to enjoy the beautiful view at Victoria Peak.

Inside Buddhist Temples

where they burned incense, and lots of it!

One of my favorite stops, Lantau Island

Here we enjoyed visiting a fishing village with stilt houses and white Chinese dolphins.

Big Buddha

This is the world's largest outdoor, sitting Buddha statue. It was incredible.

This was a 4 mile, 25 minute cable car ride from the Big Buddha

We even fit in a bit of shopping

Where I found out I really do like coconut (the real stuff that is!)

Ocean Expo Amusement Park

After 4 days of exploring all we could fit in and on minimal sleep, a foot massage was just what we needed.
