We were up super early this morning to head to the start line for the 42km Marathon.
We saw Karen off and headed south to Nobby Beach where the marathon runners turn around at the 18km mark to head north again. But first breakfast at For Real Kitchen...we needed energy for our cheer squad duties!
K was doing well, running with the 6 hour pacers.
She finished in an awesome time of 6hr 12min!!
It was a great weekend away cheering on our crazy friend...so proud of her 💗
We booked a couple of nights on the gold Coast for Karen to run the GC Marathon.
A stop for coffee at TMB Hope Island on the way down had Barista Jake serving us and making our coffees :)
We had an apartment at our go-to apartment at Biggera Waters,
and Wayne made use of the (heated) pool and spa.
We headed up to Paradise Point for dinner and found a new favourite, Millie Weirs Fish & Chippery. We all ended up having burgers and they were delish!
Our end of month catch up was a birthday outing for Sam's 40th back in February. The girls all gifted Sam a Jewellery Making workshop and we all joined her to make some earrings.
After 6 weeks on the sidelines finally back to rack up Parkrun 130. It was a steady walk and talk but we had lots of catch up on.
