Summer 2013

We've been so busy! Micah had his first clinical this summer (He had an orthopedic outpatient right here in Mount Pleasant!) and he just wrapped up his summer semester of classes, so he is on break!

We had a great week with the Pletcher Family last week, and then we JUST wrapped up from a few days with my family because my sister Lynnae got married!  Of course, all of this was documented fantastically in pictures. :)

the 6 original Keeleys! :)

February 2013

We are keeping busy!  We spent a lot of our Christmas break with our families, which was wonderful, but we really enjoyed once we were able to be back home.  Micah has begun classes again, and its already midterms and spring break is right around the corner.  So lets back up and pick up where we last left off.

My 26th Birthday Cake - GF Cheesecake from Valisa!

Opening birthday presents with the VanderHills

My favorite (and only) Sister in Law!
Luke got DIVE Devotions!
Leah got Luke this crazy doll as a joke. He really liked it!
Micah got a blood pressure cuff. He took everyones blood pressure!
Look at these good looking CMU PT shirts!

Leah did some fancy gift wrapping this year!
Micah got a music stand for his keyboard!

I got an Electric Cello for Christmas from Micah's Parents!  Love it!

I made these hats for everyone- look how thrilled they are!

Mom loves all the gifts we got for Dad... kinda.

A birthday celebration with Bryan!  Ice cream birthday cake!

Micah got this shirt from my parents- he loved it!
the best part was that my parents were gloating about how funny this shirt was all week before christmas.

Bryan finally has lots of brothers!  Bryan, Andrew (at his first Keeley Christmas) and Justin (micah is out of frame).

Micah won an award in PT class- for being an awesome patient in their mock-clinic.

Mt. Pleasant FINALLY got some reasonable snow! CMU was even closed that day.
Micah and I took a walk, and pushed a few cars out of drifts.

Here is our car, after micah "brushed it off".

Micah is out skiing for the first time in a few years, so I am home alone, relaxing and watching classic SNL episodes.  I hope you are enjoying your weekend!

December 2012

Ok, I am little late on the monthly update with this one- but let me fill you in!

November ended with Thanksgiving- we were able to spend it with the VanderKooy family and the Vander Hill family both in Holland this year.  it was lovely to see so much family!

We decorated the Church.

We did have time to pick out a 20 foot tree with Micah's parents and help install it into their house...

We decorated our home too.

Micah finished his semester on Thursday last week, so we celebrated with PT friends by going to Frankenmuth and enjoying all the sites and shops.

there were a lot of silly ornaments at Broeners Christmas Store
I did buy myself a "twinkle sphere".  You can see it below- I have always wanted one, and its pretty amazing.

The Girls: Shelby, Katie, Jessalyn, Lisa, Megan, Laura and me!

We also got cupcakes from "Suger High" bakery -- they had just won "Cupcake Wars" -- the show on Food Network.  Everyone said that the cupcakes were amazing.

Advent is a very busy time for me, especially now that I am in charge of both worship and christian education, because I have to do all the Advent Services and Christmas Eve Services, in addition to the Christmas Program.  Today was a great day- the program went well, and now I can focus on the services still to come.

Thanks for keeping us in your prayers!

November 2012

It seems like a good time to update our blog (Should I keep calling it "our blog?"  Micah never does anything with it.)  Anyway, October was a great month- the weather was fabulous in Mount Pleasant, a little cool, but really just nice.  (You might even say "pleasant!")

We had a wonderful time at the halloween party for the PT's. Most all of the first years were gone by midnight from this party and the second years stayed and partied all night long (they are a wild bunch!) I had a particularly fantastic costume--- as Makayla Maroney (you know- the gymnast from the summer olympics who got second place in the vault and then she was upset and made a sour-puss face on the winners stand.)  Micah dressed up a James Bond (mainly because he bought a tux for 10$ at the second hand store a few years ago to wear to my sister's wedding. I did not let him wear it there, and he has wanted to wear it since.  finially, he had a good enough reason.)

Meredith as Makayla Maroney!
Other than that, we have been busy with work and school. Micah just finished up midterms last week and now is approaching the finish of the semester.  He was at school all day today, and is back there again tonight.  He tells me this will probably be the rest of the semester- doing days and nights at the lab.  Fortunately, I have been having lots of night meetings, and rehearsals, so I have been gone a lot too--- I have not had much of a chance to miss him!  I look forward to one day having normal work schedules- and maybe even a real weekend! (the hazards of working at a church!)

If you will, please pray that Micah is able to continue to focus and do well in his schoolwork.  I'd love prayers for my job- Christmas time is always a busy time, and when you are at a new church- it comes with extra anxiety as I try to honor traditions of the past, while making room and expanding on what the congregation and I am truly gifted in.

I will say Goodnight with some pictures from the past month. Thanks for reading up on us!
Meredith

I got paid in Maple Syrup for singing at a funeral!

Remember us?  :)

Emily, a friend from High school and me. I saw her at the Midland Half Marathon!

Laura, Katie, Lisa and I at the Midland Half Marathon- Laura did a great job running!

October-fest

Its been a month already? goodness gracious.  what have we been doing? Everything!

Micah has been busy with school- he got a graduate assistantship at CMU and has been working on a research project with a professor. He is enjoying it, and we both are enjoying the extra income.  and with that extra income, he bought a keyboard!

My fall at New Life has started well- but I am stil just as busy as before. I was hoping to have extra time to start a choir, do more creative items in worship, etc... maybe soon?

My cousin Ross was married a few weeks ago in Columbus-- we took a trip down for the weekend and enjoyed fun at the zoo. (Pictures below).   We also went to Uncle John's Cider Mill with the PT's and had a wine tasting, and corn maze.  (Pictures below).

awkward bathroom sign... really awkward.

Thats all we got for now!  We hope to hear from you soon!
