Senior Dinner

So the Beehives were in charge of the Senior Dinner this year. We get together and honor all the young men and women that will be graduating this year. Elaine did a wonderful job planning the party with an Italian theme. Lee and I helped make a few of the Lasagna's and then came to help get food ready. Jasmine and JOsie were there helping and working hard!
Talyn was one of themany "fly shooshers" guarding the food table.
It felt very festive int he cultural hall with the Italian themed music, ballons and streamers.
The food was AWESOME...of course ITalian food is one of my faves!
The seniors on there "guest of honor" table.
Josie, taking her turn at the "Swooshing" (one of the down falls of living in Hawaii and not having central air conditioning!) Josie is the class president and does an awesome job!
This "swoosher" wasn't feeling very photogenic I guess:-)
Tala and Jasmine...aren't they sweeties?!
I ahd to jump in a few pictures. Sheridan was actually my photographer but I was busy helping Elaine get thigns situated.
Here is little miss photographer and as you can tell if you look closely, I was working pretty ahrd because my face is shiny with SWEAT! Oh the things I do for my Beehives (LOL).

Serena and I went to high school and college together and Im happy that she is in Young womens with me!!
This one was hiding from the camera but we finally got one. Her name is Tara and she is one of my Beehive girls.
One of the girls responisbilities was to "Serve" the Seniors their food. It was cute to see how happy the girsl were to serve them their food. Ahhh to be young and energetic again!
These two back at the food line...but this time they are finally serving themselves!
This is Chelsea...she is SUPER shy and I had to really work to get this picture. She is a very sweet girl and I am excited to get to know her better!

I LOVE my cell phone:-)

I take so many random pictures with my cell phone. This is Lee and I hanging out in our front yard with our puppy.
Lee HATES to take pictures, especially when he isn't all dressed up and pretty (he is such a girl).
He likes to make mean faces at me when I take his picture and he THINKS that I wont take it if he isn't smiling...but really it just makes me more determined.
There's the sweet boy that I fell in love with...how can you NOt love that face:-)
Trying to make Kayla look a mean guard dog...when the truth is that she will lick you to death before ever attacking you...HAHAHA.
I couldn't get Kayal to sit still to take a picture with me. She got so excited that she started licking and "nipping" at my face (she nips when she's hyper).
This is a CLASSIC picture...I can't stop laughing at the look on my face!I was laughing so hard that I didn't realzie I had all ready put the picture on and now I dont know how to take it off...SMART!

We were driving home from town one day and decided to pull over at Kualoa Beach Park and let Kayla run around and cahse the birds. I took a quick picture of my adorable puppy and my equally adorable hubby:-)
We are trying to train Kayla to ride in the bed of our truck so we take her on short drives as often ans possible. WE decided to drive up to Laie Point and let her stretch ehr legs.
It is so beautiful up here and very peaceful. Kayla loves all the smells we like to look at the ocean, smell the slat air and listen to the roar of the waves!
How can you beat that view...Laie Point winward side.
We went to get Lee's drivers license renewed and he had to wear his prescription glasses to pass the eye exam. They trun dark in the sunlight and I just thought he looked so dang cute in them that I decided to take a picture. It seems sill now but I SWEAR in a few years we will be grateful that we took them!

Dinosaurs and Piggy Banks...

Everytime we get a picture of Savannah we marvel at how much she has grown. According to her mom, she towers over everyone at her preschool and strangers ask if she's 7 or 8. After Lee saw this picture he called Savannah and told her what a beautiful young she is becoming. We cant WAIT for her to come...30 days and counting!
Savannah's pre-school class went to the Dinosaur museum in Ogden. Sara (Savannah's mom) got to go with them and said that she was enthralled by all the different exhibits. She also knew all the names of the different dinosaurs and what they ate and tons of info about them. We are thrilled that she is so curious about science and nature. Savannah made her own piggy bank today...she likes to save coins, so her mom used her scrapbooking supplies to help her make this cute bank out of an old baby formula can. When it came to naming it, Savannah kept calling it a penny bank:-)

Kayla & Hana

My little puppy has outgrwon her crate :-)
Hana (Alii's American Staffordshire pitbull) came over for her first play date with Kayla. They got along so well and even had a nap together..Im so surprised Kayla shared her favorite bed.

Im so impressed at how Kayla handled herself. She was calm and gentle and very sharing. Thank goodness we finally have a friend for her. These two wore each other OUT which made us all very happy!
Hana is going to outweigh Kayla soon...Hana is so fat and adorable and I LOVE IT!.
Best friends....now I wnat another Doberman (dont worry Dad I wont get another dog).

Kidnapped!!!

So, every year the Young Women "kidnap" the beehives that will be graduating from Primary this year. We surprise them at their house, blindfold them and take them tot he Chapel where we have games and dessert buffet...
Preparing the dessert buffet for the "kidnapping".
This is Camille. Its funny because she lives in the house that my best friend grew up in. I almost expected Kalani to come walking out of that front door.
Waiting outside of Rachels door with the blindfold. After she is blindfolded, the girls decorate her room with balloons and candy as a surprise when she gets home!
Rachel, Tala and Jasmine are all my beehive girls. We were in my truck and had to drive around to disorient her...and they were so funny in trying to confuse her and make her think we were going to take her to Laie point and make her jump:-)

We had a little "get to know you" session with the girls so they could feel more comfortable.

Once they answered a question correctly, they could take the blindfold off.
This is Sheridan..she wasmy photographer for the evening. I had 50 shots of that night but could't upload all of them.
All the girls (and one boy...Sis. Tafiti's son) around the dessert buffet.
I had a lot of fun that night. It made me feel like a kid again. They are so full of life and sweet and have the restof their life ahead of them. Im JEALOUS but so grateful that I can be apart of their lives and see them grow:-)

Chai's with Mom & Dad...

Lee & I were in town for my Physical Therapy and called Mom and Dad to see if they had dinner yet. They were in Waikiki so we met up at Chai's Island Bistro for Dinner.
The food is SOOOOOO good here. It is Asian cuisine with a Thai influence and everything was DELICIOUS! It is the first time we were able to take Mom and Dad out to a NICE restaraunt. They always refuse but Mom said that she is going to enjoy herself for her Brithday!
Me and my Mother...Im glad she is finally taking the time to enjoy life. ALthough she about passed out when she heard how much the bill was. BABY STEPS!!!
Lee HATES it when I make him take pictures...but he is so dang cute that I just can't help it:-)
Dad does NOT take good posed photos. Its when you catch him in a happy moment that you can get his real smile. Otherwise you get this "mad smile" face that he ALWAYS does!
Not sure why Mom decided to throw the "peace" sign in this picture but it was HILLARIOUS. I bet my kids will think Im out of touch too when I turn 64:-)
The deserrts was the best part of dinner. We started singing Happy Birthday and these Japanese tourists were sitting next to us and were smiling and clapping and trying to sing along.
Now that's what I call DESSERT!
