Christmas was amazing!! I am not even sure where to begin. There are tons of pictures, and this could get lengthy!! I am sitting here thinking back to how great Christmas was. I absolutely love this time of year. I love everything about it. The music, the snow, the cooking (and I don't cook), the friends, the family, the parties, the shopping, the decorating, the lights, the presents, the wrapping, everything. I love spending time with family! I have decided that is what it is all about.... Family. I love my family, and my in-law family. I am very lucky and they are all great! I love Sage and Cam. Life doesn't get much better than this.
So for Christmas, we were with my family this year! So the adventure began with picking up Megan from the airport on Tuesday, the 23rd. Joe did not fly in until later, so he was driving up later. We were worried about all the snow storms coming in, but everything worked out great. Joe's flights were delayed, but he did make it. So we picked up Meg and headed up to Idaho. We stopped in Rexburg for a few last things, and then continued up to Island Park. My parents rented a cabin for Christmas. It is a great cabin. It is huge, and fits the whole family! Each family had their own room and bathroom. It is so cozy. I just loved it. A great way to celebrate Christmas. My parents made the whole holiday the best! We got up there, and got settled. Lesli's birthday is on the 23rd, so we had a birthday celebration for her that night. She turned 22. In my mind she is still 13. I love her! So the next day was Christmas Eve, Joe finally made it! We played in the snow, and there was a lot! We went sledding, snow-mobiled, jumped off the deck, and played some more. We went in and helped with dinner. My mom was amazing with the food. We ate and ate and ate and ate some more. She is such a good cook. We always have a big Christmas Eve dinner. We had a delicious prime rib. It was so good. She decorated the table so cute too. She really is amazing. After dinner, we do the traditional Luke 2 reading. The kids did the navitity scene, which was comical. I actuall think my dad cut the reading short. The wise men were a little anxious. We then watched a short video on the birth of the Savior. I am so thankful to have parents who spoil us rotten, but always have a way of reminding us of the True Meaning of Christmas. We then opened Christmas PJ's, left Santa goodies, and got the kids to bed. I loved playing Santa this year!! Sage was so fun!
Christmas morning was chaos, but great. All the kids loved everything. Sage loved her baby doll, and stroller. She loved playing with everyone else's toys too. She is always the center of any arguments with the cousins. Christmas day was full of playing, resting, relaxing, and lots of snow. It snowed and snowed while we were up there. We weren't sure if we were going to make it out. We played lots of games... scrabble and hand & foot, and ate lots of food.
Friday, we packed up, and headed back to Rexburg. It was a very memorable Christmas. We had a great time. I did not want to come home. All good things must come to an end!
Thanks Mom and Dad for a wonderful Christmas. Thanks Sage and Cam. I love my family and the memories we are making. Christmas really is the most wonderful time of the year!
This was the Christmas kick off. Sage was opening her gift from Nana and Papa Cisneros. She liked unwrapping the presents.
We went out to Brooke's on Monday night to make reindeer food. We had to make sure Santa could find us up at the cabin.
Caden and Sage at the Cabin taking a bath in the jetted tub. They loved the bubbles.
Happy 22nd Birthday Les!! We love you!
Lesli blowing out her candles.
The first outing in the snow. This is Sage's first real adventure of playing in the snow. She liked it for about 10 minutes.

All the grandkids. Lauren, Olivia, Andrew, Sage, and Caden.
Grandpa and Sage, playing with Morgan's doll.
Mom, Dad, and their puppy Izzie. Yes, Izzie got PJ's too.
The Christmas tree in the cabin. We added our own decorations of popcorn and cranberry strands.
Christmas morning chaos. What a mess. It was such a fun Christmas.
That little cabin was behind ours. Can you see how it is almost burried in snow?! It was a Winter Wonderland.
This is the cabin. It was the best place to stay.
So we are back in Utah now. I am looking forward to taking down the decorations, and kicking off the new year. When I was a kid, I hated when the decorations came down and I hated Christmas being over. It made me so sad. I am still sad it is over, but I love the new beginning of a new year. It almost seems refreshing. I have also realized how quick Christmas will be here again. So Happy New Year!!
