Merry Merry Merry Christmas!

Christmas was amazing!! I am not even sure where to begin. There are tons of pictures, and this could get lengthy!! I am sitting here thinking back to how great Christmas was. I absolutely love this time of year. I love everything about it. The music, the snow, the cooking (and I don't cook), the friends, the family, the parties, the shopping, the decorating, the lights, the presents, the wrapping, everything. I love spending time with family! I have decided that is what it is all about.... Family. I love my family, and my in-law family. I am very lucky and they are all great! I love Sage and Cam. Life doesn't get much better than this.

So for Christmas, we were with my family this year! So the adventure began with picking up Megan from the airport on Tuesday, the 23rd. Joe did not fly in until later, so he was driving up later. We were worried about all the snow storms coming in, but everything worked out great. Joe's flights were delayed, but he did make it. So we picked up Meg and headed up to Idaho. We stopped in Rexburg for a few last things, and then continued up to Island Park. My parents rented a cabin for Christmas. It is a great cabin. It is huge, and fits the whole family! Each family had their own room and bathroom. It is so cozy. I just loved it. A great way to celebrate Christmas. My parents made the whole holiday the best! We got up there, and got settled. Lesli's birthday is on the 23rd, so we had a birthday celebration for her that night. She turned 22. In my mind she is still 13. I love her! So the next day was Christmas Eve, Joe finally made it! We played in the snow, and there was a lot! We went sledding, snow-mobiled, jumped off the deck, and played some more. We went in and helped with dinner. My mom was amazing with the food. We ate and ate and ate and ate some more. She is such a good cook. We always have a big Christmas Eve dinner. We had a delicious prime rib. It was so good. She decorated the table so cute too. She really is amazing. After dinner, we do the traditional Luke 2 reading. The kids did the navitity scene, which was comical. I actuall think my dad cut the reading short. The wise men were a little anxious. We then watched a short video on the birth of the Savior. I am so thankful to have parents who spoil us rotten, but always have a way of reminding us of the True Meaning of Christmas. We then opened Christmas PJ's, left Santa goodies, and got the kids to bed. I loved playing Santa this year!! Sage was so fun!

Christmas morning was chaos, but great. All the kids loved everything. Sage loved her baby doll, and stroller. She loved playing with everyone else's toys too. She is always the center of any arguments with the cousins. Christmas day was full of playing, resting, relaxing, and lots of snow. It snowed and snowed while we were up there. We weren't sure if we were going to make it out. We played lots of games... scrabble and hand & foot, and ate lots of food.

Friday, we packed up, and headed back to Rexburg. It was a very memorable Christmas. We had a great time. I did not want to come home. All good things must come to an end!

Thanks Mom and Dad for a wonderful Christmas. Thanks Sage and Cam. I love my family and the memories we are making. Christmas really is the most wonderful time of the year!

This was the Christmas kick off. Sage was opening her gift from Nana and Papa Cisneros. She liked unwrapping the presents.

We went out to Brooke's on Monday night to make reindeer food. We had to make sure Santa could find us up at the cabin.

Caden and Sage at the Cabin taking a bath in the jetted tub. They loved the bubbles.

Happy 22nd Birthday Les!! We love you!

Lesli blowing out her candles.

The first outing in the snow. This is Sage's first real adventure of playing in the snow. She liked it for about 10 minutes.

Playing in the snow.

My cute mom in the snow.

These were the table settings for Christmas Eve dinner. It was a snowflake theme.

The table. My mom goes all out for everything. She loves it to be just perfect, and it was.

Christmas Eve dinner.

Christmas Eve PJ's. All the girls. Lauren, Olivia, Morgan, and Sage.

All the grandkids. Lauren, Olivia, Andrew, Sage, and Caden.

Grandpa and Sage, playing with Morgan's doll.

Mom, Dad, and their puppy Izzie. Yes, Izzie got PJ's too.

The Christmas tree in the cabin. We added our own decorations of popcorn and cranberry strands.

Christmas morning chaos. What a mess. It was such a fun Christmas.

This is on Christmas Day. We got so much snow. It was amazing.

Cute little Sage.

That little cabin was behind ours. Can you see how it is almost burried in snow?! It was a Winter Wonderland.

Game playing. We had a serious competition of hand and foot. It was very intense.

This is the cabin. It was the best place to stay.
So we are back in Utah now. I am looking forward to taking down the decorations, and kicking off the new year. When I was a kid, I hated when the decorations came down and I hated Christmas being over. It made me so sad. I am still sad it is over, but I love the new beginning of a new year. It almost seems refreshing. I have also realized how quick Christmas will be here again. So Happy New Year!!

December Fun

I can't believe how fast this month goes. It has been busy, busy, busy. Shopping, Christmas Parties, more shopping etc. We have had some other adventures too.....

We went to the Festival of trees with Brooke's Family. Morgan danced there at her recital. She was hilarious. I loved watching her. That place is amazing. This is the first year I have gone. I loved it. It is for such a good cause too. I wish I had thousands of dollars to buy a tree!!
We went to eat at Chili's after. Eating out with Sage is really not my most favorite thing to do. Let's be honest, she isn't the best kid to take to a restaurant. So she was already beginning to act up. Then she hit her head on the corner of the chair. At that point nothing was going to calm her down. We had just ordered our food, I had eaten about 2 chips, (I love Chili's chips), and had about 2 sips of my coke. I had about had it, so I made Cam cancel our order, and we left. That is the first time we have had to do that. I was pretty mad. And of course, the minute we got in the car, she was fine. Oh, the joys!! We have gone out to dinner since, and it's been OK.

Andrew chasing down Sage and Morgan. Both were on the run.

Cam's favorite tree. The whole thing was golf clubs. It was pretty cool.

Me, Sage, Andrew, Jeff, Brooke, Lauren, and Morgan.

We took Sage to see Santa at Cabella's, and she hated it. She was fine until it was her turn. So Santa had me sit on his lap, (a little wierd), but that didn't help. Better luck next year!!

We finally have snow!!!! We had a great storm on Saturday. Yay!! I love the snow! Sage seems to like it too. I was beginning to wonder if we were going to have a white Christmas? Looks like we will.
I guess we better get some "moon" boots, and snow pants. :)

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree

We went out the Saturday after Thanksgiving for our traditional Christmas Tree hunt. We went up in the mountains, and cut down our tree. Zach, Cam's cousin went with us. It was great, except the lack of snow!!! When is it going to snow????? Sage really did not enjoy the adventure. The terrain was a little rough. She did not think that was cool. Belle on the other hand, loved it. She was running all over the place. We pulled out about 20 stickers, and are still finding some. Our Christmas tree is very tall! I could not put on a lot of the big ornaments, because they would pull the branches way down, but it is very pretty, and Sage loves it. She keeps looking at it, saying, "Oh," and "Preey" (pretty).

Cam and Sage hiking up the hill.

Me, Sage, and Belle. I had to hold Belle. She kept wanting to go explore. Also, she has gotten so fat, her little orange jacket no longer fits. I can't do up the last button.

Zach carrying down his tree.

That is our tree. Seriously.... What were we thinking? Look how tall that thing is!!

The finished product.

Sage admiring the tree. She thinks it's pretty amazing. I am so excited for Christmas with her. She already loves everything about the holidays.

Thanksgiving

Hanging out over the weekend.

The girls playing nintendo DS. Sage even thought she was pretty cool with one.
Ella, Sage, Soraya, and Caitlee.

My pies I made for Thanksgiving.

I am thankful for.....
Sage. Cam. Belle. Family (mine and Cam's). Holidays. Etc. The list would go on and on. Those are some of my very favorites.

Thanksgiving was great. We spent it with Cam's family. The food was wonderful. I missed the leftovers, but maybe it saved me from gaining an extra 10 pounds. I loved hanging out with family. We hung out most the weekend, and it was great.

BYU/Utah Game

Oh, were do I begin? Let's see I guess you could say I grew up being a BYU fan. My Grandpa's cheered for BYU, my Dad cheered for BYU, my ex-boyfriends cheered for BYU, I went to BYU home games with friends when I lived in Provo, so of course, the only thing I know, is to be a BYU Fan, and of course, am anti-Utes. Well, just my luck, I married a UTE fan. Not only is he a Utah alumni, but his whole entire family is as well. And yes, their Utah flag hangs outside their house, with pride, every game day. His Grandpa and our brother in law, Jared, are the only BYU folks.
Well the "big day" started with his Grandpa's 92nd Birthday party. The house was flooded with red!! The birthday party was fun. I did not get any pictures, but his grandpa was dressed in blue from head to toe, surrounded by red people. He was pretty cute. Way to stand your ground, Bill. They had bag pipes playing Happy Birthday to him. Cam's mom's family is from Scotland, and still have very strong accents. Pretty cool.
Then to the big game. We went back over to Cam's parents house, and they had it all decorated. It was cute. I thought it was going to be a good game, until after half-time. And that's enough said. Very, very devastating!!!! I just kept quiet most the game. I didn't dare open my mouth to say anything. There was way to much gloating going on. I just want to try to keep the peace. :)
So..... Good Luck Utes and BYU.... better luck next year.

Sage loved the football game, or maybe more the balloons.

Yes, even she is a traitor!!! But a very cute traitor!

Nana and Papa and Sage!! I think if she would have worn blue, she may have been disowned.

Twilight

I failed to get pictures of going to the movie, Twilight, but it was great. I for sure like the book better, but the movie was good. The characters were good. My friend, Rachel, bought out a theatre, and sold the tickets. She made it so fun. We had popcorn and pop all ready for us, door prizes, apple shaped sugar cookies, and more. It made the movie that much better. Thanks Rach for all your hard work. It was lots of fun. I am more excited for the next movie. I have to admit I am a Jacob fan, so I am excited for the next one. I thought the movie was a little slow, and had a few cheezy lines, but I am far from a movie critic, so overall, I loved it. I think I want to re-read all the books.

Little Monkey

First, I found her here. I am still not sure how she made it from the toilet to the sink, but she did?

Next, no kidding, 10 minutes later, I found here her.

Earlier in the morning, she decided she wanted to be a coal miner, and painted her face black with my make-up. She is OUT OF CONTROL!!

Sage will not sit still for more than 2 minutes. There are some days I am ready to pull my hair out because I can not keep up with her. I seriously leave the room for two seconds, and she finds some sort of trouble to get into!! I am figuring out I have to start shutting every door behind me, so she will stay out of the room. What happens when she is tall enough to reach the doorknob and open the door? She knows how to open them now, luckily she just can't reach.

Remodeling

My parents have been remodeling their house. I don't really have any before pictures, but we were up there all this past week to help them work on the house. Cam actually did all the tile work. He did an amazing job. I have pictures of the inbetween work, and some finished work. It was quite the week. Cam went up on Sunday, and I went up on Wednesday. The house was a disaster. Everything was torn apart. Cam started the tile work, and by the time I got there, he was about 1/2 done. After he finished tile, we (Cam, Me, Mike, and my Dad) did the grout on the tile, the next day Cam, Mike, and my Dad did baseboards. They did such amazing work. Me and my mom continued to paint all day. The house is looking amazing. I can't wait to see it all finished. I usually enjoy going home to hang out, play games, etc. This trip was a little bit more work, but still just as fun. I have great parents. They truly are amazing. My husband is also incredible. Sage was such a trooper. It was so loud, yet she still continued to take naps. She watched a lot of Monsters Inc. and Nemo, but it kept her off the tile and her clothes free of paint. Thank you so much Shay. She helped take care of Sage, and even brought us dinner. Thanks a bunch. We had some long days, and very late nights. Good times had by all. By the time we left, the kitchen was at least somewhat put back together. Good Luck Mom. It's looking beautiful.

This is the hard wood floor that was placed before we got there.
Cam laying tile.

This was one piece that could or could not have made Cam swear. I'm not sure! :) He went through about 6 tiles.
Finished product. It looks so good. He honestly is amazing.

More tile work.

This is Cam holding up the last piece of tile. He was so glad to be finished!!!!

Izzy and Belle. Izzy is my mom's, Belle is mine.

Grouting. This is a pain in the butt. My hands are ruined for life! They are so dry.

This is Caden helping paint.

Sage and Caden watching a movie.

More grouting in the front entry.

Mike and Cam cutting base boards.

Mike and Cam putting the toilet back on.
I did have a sweet picture of Mike, and his back side, but decided it would not be appropriate for the blog. Thanks Mike for great entertainment.
Cam is absolutely a guy of all traits. Is that the phrase? I have not found anything he can't do yet!! Looks great babe.
Oh, and bonus- Meg flew in Sunday afternoon. I was able to go and pick her up from the airport, and hang out for a few hours. It was good to see her too.
