We went to Idaho and Utah to visit family at the end of June. We had a great time seeing everyone. While we were in Idaho, the water was turned up over Shoshone Falls. It is breathtaking. They say it was turned up due to lots of rain, but I say it was because we were visiting.
Clark has started doing some funny things. This is a picture of him adoring his hands. He can't get enough of them!
Clark has gotten huge this summer. He started crawling at six months old. He is on the move, and we have baby-proofed our house. He goes anywhere he wants. He is a fabulous eater. His favorite food is sweet potatoes. He makes the funniest faces every time he takes the first bite, then remembers that he likes the food and eats it all up. He has two bottom teeth, and has been working on his top two teeth for what seems like a month. Any day now they should pop through. Other than the teeth, we just need him to sleep through the night. We have a plan in place, so we'll see if we are successful.
Here is Clark laughing at the little boy in the fireplace. He entertains Clark more than most of his toys.
When we got home from our trip, we had to stay the night in Woodburn because our car was having problems. We got it fixed the next day, then went home to a different house. We moved the day before we left for Idaho, and just piled everything in the kitchen and garage. We are glad we did, because the owner replaced the carpet while we were gone. The previous tenants had three big dogs, and they peed all over the carpet. The house totally stunk before, but since they changed the carpet there is no smell.
The rest of the summer has been spent playing with Masen and Clark, and unpacking a house. Shawn got to go deep sea fishing twice, and took Masen with him once. Clark and Carli went to the coast for the first trip, and Clark got his feet in the sand for the first time. I wish we had a picture of it. He absolutely loved it!
Here is a video of Clark crawling. Enjoy!
