Cecily Page is 1!

Amazingly, Cecily Page is 1!  Honestly, sometimes it feels like she was born yesterday and sometimes she's taken 10 years off my life.  Our little toddle baby "Hurricane Sassily" keeps us on our toes for sure.  She can say Mama, Dada, hi, up, and uh-oh.  She can sign please, milk, eat, and (almost) thank you.  She blows kisses, gives kisses and hugs, can you show her tongue and belly, do down dog, clap and eat her feet.  She LOVES her milkies and enjoys eating mixed veggies, cheese, puffs, lunch meat, eggs, apple sauce, yogurt, and mac n cheese.  This little crazy lady keeps us busy and fills our hearts.  Happy birthday Cecily Page!

Cecily's birthday party - first taste of sugar.

What's this cake business?

1st birthday picture.  Here's my belly!

This is delicious!

Sweet face.

Today, her actual birthday.  She has very rosey teething cheeks and a big ole cupcake in front of her.

Happy birthday to Cecily!

What is this?!

Despite this smile, she was not impressed with the cupcake.

Happy Birthday, Cecily Page!!  We love you soooo much.

First snow 2016

We had an exciting day today!  Gingerbread house decorating party with friends AND the first snow of the season.

The first few flurries fell late morning

Off we went to a friends' house to decorate gingerbread houses.  Thank you Costco for prebuilt houses with all the decorating necessities!

Finished product!  Honestly, the kids got bored and went to play in the snow and the Moms finished the houses.

Frosty in the backyard

Not sure if this video will play but it's of the snow falling and me saying I'm not driving into the office tomorrow :-)  The snow is supposed to continue through the night.

Cecily Page's first snow!

The girls had SO much fun playing in the snow!

Cecily Page had SO much fun playing in the dog's bed!

Olivia and I made a snowman in the front yard when we got home.  Green M&Ms for eyes and a carrot for the nose.

Winter is upon us!

Blueberry pickin

We went to Bybee Farm today for U Pick Blueberries.  Mike and the girls went with some friends of ours earlier in the week but I wanted a berry picking fix and Mike and Olivia were happy to oblige.  There is something very calming about picking berries - from bushes that is (blueberries, raspberries, blackberries) as strawberries are a bit low to the ground to be fun.

Not 100% necessary but it's always fun to wear welly boots

Bybee Farm is right at the base of Mt. Si

Delicious bluberries

Cecily Page will enjoy blueberry picking next year.  This year she hung out in the Ergo and pulled at leaves.

Olivia with a handful of berries, most of which probably made it into the bucket.

And she's posing

Our haul!  Mike and Olivia just left to go get some lavender for blueberry/lavender jam and blueberry muffins.  Mmmm.

With the exception of about 4 hot days, we've had a wet and chilly summer so far this year.  This about sums it up :-)

Snoqualmie Easter Egg hunt 2016

We took the kiddos to the Snoqualmie community Easter Egg hunt this morning.  Big field + thousands of eggs + hundreds of children + 1 bunny = chaos BUT it was still fun :-)
This is now Olivia's signature picture face
Waiting for the egg hunt to begin

See that field of eggs behind her?

Baby Cecily was stylin in Mommy's glasses

And she's out

Obligatory picture with the Easter bunny.  A reporter from the local paper stopped us to ask if he could use a picture he took in an article and got everyone's names and the kids' ages!

Olivia and her friend, Sydney, post-egg rush

After the field egg hunt we went into old Snoqualmie with some friends to "hunt" eggs door to door at the local businesses.  Olivia with her friends Sydney and Shane.  Baby CP slept the whole time :-)

Hoppy Easter!

Room for four!

When we found out that Baby Robinson #2 would be making us a party of four we started talking about sleeping arrangements for the girls.  When we bought out house in Snoqualmie it had three bedrooms and a huge living area upstairs that we used primarily as a play room for Olivia.  We felt the girls were too far apart in age to share a room and wanted to keep a guest room so we decided to make part of the upstairs space a fourth bedroom.  Mike spent almost his entire Christmas vacation building what is now Olivia's new bedroom and he did an awesome job!  We are so blessed to have such a dedicated (and handy!) husband/Daddy.  It looks amazing and you'd never know that two weeks ago it was just one big open space up there.

This is what the upstairs looked like when the previous owners lived here.  One big open space.

One of our friends, Matt, is a contractor and he and another contractor friend came over to help frame the room.  Mike definitely did the lion's share of the work on the bedroom (and very well, too) but we were thankful to have experts help start the wall.

After countless hours of framing, dry wall, applying dry wall "mud", texturing, priming, painting, installing doors and baseboards and moving furniture, the room is finally done!  Starting at the bedroom door, the entire right wall is brand new.

And Olivia loves it!  She chose the green paint color, which actually isn't so bad in person.  It's a yellow-y green color that goes nicely with the Navajo White that we use as our neutral paint color throughout the house.

The existing space had two great windows, awesome for natural light.

Happy that we could get Olivia's bookshelf in her room now that the upstairs living space is a bit smaller.

This picture gives you a good look at how many "stuffies" Olivia has on her bed.  There isn't much room in there for her sometimes!

Love the closet doors.  It's not a walk-in closet like in Olivia's old room but the bedroom itself  is much larger so she definitely got the better end of the deal as far as bedrooms goes.  She is the big sister after all!

We still have a decent sized living space upstairs even with the new bedroom!

Olivia moving out of her old room meant that we could get it ready for sweet Cecily.

Still a bit more decorating to do but baby girl will be bunking up with us for a while so we have some time for finishing touches.  Because I'm going to have soooo much time on my hands :-)

I'm so very proud of Mike and the work he's done to this house to make it perfect for us.  He's the backbone of this family in so many ways and we are so thankful for him.  Now COME ON, BABY CECILY!  We are ready for you!
