Aidan's Special Day

As tradition, we gave Aidan breakfast in bed, and when asked what he wanted to eat, of course "silly rabbit Trix are for kids" were the first words out of his mouth, but he says it really cute, and always makes me laugh. So Cereal was the birthday boys choice, and he loved every minute of eating breakfast on Mom and Dad's bed.

Then we got to open presents from Grandma, Grandpa, and Family. He got a really cute
outfit with shoes, a cute game, and then he opened the MOST prized toy of the day... the TOY STORY MANIA gun that he has wanted ever since the ride opened last summer. So when he opened it he was SOOO... excited and couldn't stop thanking Bompa for the gun. --So I had to remind him nicely that the gun came from Mom and Dad, not Bompa, but Bompa kept getting the credit. Not that I'm competitive or anything, but I wanted the credit for the awesome toy. Then we made our Birthday Trip to the mailbox, where Bompa and Nana had mailed their package, with candy, a singing card, (he loves those) and 6 different HEROES--Star Wars, GI Joe, and Marvel. Aidan loved the "dudes" (Aidan language) and they all got turns being shot down by the Toy Story Mania Gun. Not a bad birthday morning.

Then it was time for the party. Aidan invited over just 5 friends, from the neighborhood. The invites included a Mickey Racer as our theme was Mickey Mouse. Aidan's cake had Goofy, Mickey and the handy helpers. We raced the cars, ate cake, broke the pinata and opened presents. Everything didn't go the way I had thought it was going to go, but Mike reminded me that this is Aidan's party and if he wants to have Cake first then lets do cake first. It was a really fun party, and all the kids seemed to have a good time.
Right after the party we took Aidan and Madisyn to "Animal Circle" (translation the Carl's Jr in the District) for lunch, and to play on the play place. Then we watched the afternoon Monsters vs Aliens. Both kids were excited to see BOB he is by far our family favorite! Both kids loved the movie and so did Mike and I. Then it was nap time!! Yeah my favorite time of day. :)

PS Madisyn asked what movie will be coming out for my birthday? I guess Birthdays and Movies go hand in hand in our family, kind of like breakfast in bed.

Crazy Man turns 3

Well we can all agree that Aidan was put on this earth to make you smile. From the day he was born until now, the day he turns 3, he is constantly trying to find ways to make you happy, even if it is just him asking "Mommy Happy?"

Seriously we NEED SPRING

This is what I woke up to today.

I cleaned out my front yard, and now I bet that my cute purple flowers are going to die. AHHH, I hate this warm one minute and then SNOW the next. For all of you out there, this is Global Warming!! Crazy weather patterns. Oh well we planted a garden, and hopefully the SNOW was good for it. --but I am sick of the SNOW.

Planting the CORN

Last year we were told that if you plant corn it will help the plants pollanate. So Mike last year dragged his feet and no corn or any other item EVER got planted. I bought strawberry starts last year and they are still alive and well, but nothing else. So this year I bought Corn, Watermelon, Cantaloupe, Pumpkins, Carrots, Yellow Squash and Zucchini. We are going to have a garden. Mike was ready to plant on Saturday, and seemed like things had been warm enough, so we planted our garden.

The Truth about the HAT...

Yes I do love my new hat, thanks Dad for buying one for Jenni, Mom and I, the reason I wear it everyday is because every time I go to do my hair, I forget that my Straightener is BROKEN!! I need to go get a new one, and I am just Lazy. I think I wore it EVERYDAY this week. I really need a new straightener, or maybe another hat. :)

Yeah, for Sewing...

So thanks to Rebecca for having such a great craft night, I was able to complete my first sewing project. With much help from everyone. I learned tons, and loved every minute of it. WOW, my first FULL sewing project, with a few mistakes, but I am really proud of it. Aidan helped me pick out the fabric, he loves NEMO!! I plan on making a cute girl one for Madisyn.

For Christmas my parents gave me cash to go pick out my own sewing machine. I finally got around this week to finding my machine. I know, it is probably too nice for me, but dang it is REALLY cute, and comes with free cleanings, free classes, and 5 year warranty at their store, automatic bobbin, and automatic threading and a one step button hole, (which I just learned this week what that was), and it is PINK!!

BIG BIG Bouncin' Off the Wall PARTY!!!

So on Saturday March 14 we had our big Bouncin's Off the Walls Birthday Party. We invited all of Madisyn's Kindergarden class, including the boys. Madisyn was so excited that everyone was invited. It was an incredible turn out, and TONS of fun. We got to jump and play on all the inflatables for 1 1/2 hours, and then we went into the party room and opened presents and ate birthday cake, this time, with a little practice Madisyn blew out the candles on the first try. Everyone seemed to love the party and Madisyn had a wonderful birthday weekend. Thank you to everyone that came to the parties and made Madisyn Birthday so special.

Playgroup Party

Madisyn and I wanted to have a party with just the playgroup girls, so I got a Tinkerbell Pinata, filled it with toys and candy. The girls have gotten good at hitting Pinata's and they enjoyed every minute of it. Then we played Don't Eat Pete, but with a card that had all of Madisyn's favorite things, ie gymnastics, cheer, parties, butterflies, fairies, then we blew out the candle again and Madisyn still had trouble, ate cake and then played Sing It on the PS2. The KIDS loved it. They all wanted to sing Hannah Montana's theme song over and over, and after the kids left Madisyn played Sing It for another 45 minutes all by herself.

Madisyn's Breakfast in Bed

So thanks to Madisyn our family tradition for Birthdays, is now Breakfast in Bed. Mike made Eggs, Madisyn's favorite, and I put together the tray. Not only do they get Breakfast in bed, but they get to eat breakfast on Mike and I's bed, how spoiled are our kids? :) So after breakfast Madisyn got to open her gifts from us, Grandma and Grandpa, and Nana and Bompa. My favorite thing our the PINK SPARKLY ear phones, when I showed them to Mike he said "Does she want Fabulous?" and sure enough Madisyn opened her card and it SANG--"I want fabulous, bigger and better and best." Madisyn was unable to blow out the candles, but no worries she got two more times to get it right.

Breakfast on our bed, nice hair. :)

She took 4 times to blow out her six candles. (notice the earphones)

Nana is the Make-up Queen, and Madisyn is the make-up Princess.

Grandma sent this cute dress and shoes that Madisyn wore to school and the movies that night.

Nana also sent this way cute cookie. Madisyn Loved it!!

We love Madisyn

So my little girl is turning six today, Friday the 13th, the only reason I did not want to go into labor, I didn't want my little girl to have a Friday the 13th Birthday, and here it is. Madisyn was such a beautiful baby that people would chase me down the hallways in church and at Cooper Hills (were I worked) just to see her. Today she is still just as beautiful. I love you princess, and I hope you have the best day ever.

Bounce House, HUGE Slide, Obstacle Course, just $5.00 per kid and parents jump for FREE.
