Let's Do This!!

I am starting Weight Watchers Wednesdays, I really don't know what to do, but to make sure that I have something to account to. This past week I didn't lose any weight, but I am going to try this week to really watch what I eat, and then I have some where to post, to be accountable. Let's Do This!!

Round-off Back Handspring at the AGE of 6!!

Yeah for Madisyn, she landed her Round-off Back Handspring all by herself in gymnastics class, and she even through the round-off back handspring at school, on the grass. (when I was coaching the cheerleaders to go from Mat to Grass is HUGE, and Madisyn did it in ONE DAY) When she told me she did the trick at school, I didn't believe her, and explained that she couldn't do the trick in her skirt, but to my surprise she jumped out of the car and said watch mom, in her skirt and all she did it on the grass right in front of our house!! She does it all the time now, and makes it look so effortless! I had told her that if she did it all by herself she could get 5 outfits from Justice and one toy from Target. She loves her outfits, shoes, and her new jewelry box, that she can color in the jewels. Me and another cheer coach always joked that our little girls would be able to do back handsprings before they could read, and here we are age 6, and she has a round-off back handspring, WOW!

"No Bee, No Bee"

Saturday night, Mike had a choice between a night out with just his wife to the JAZZ playoff game, or a fun night with the kids in a suite at the Bee's game. Yeah for the kids Mike choose the Bee's game. Both kids were SOOO... excited to be going. Madisyn and Aidan had tons of fun, until the Bumble, the Bee came by. The girls were excited and hugged the bee, but Aidan ran from the Bee and fell. On the ground, he then ARMY Crawled under the table to get away. Yes he army crawled under the table saying "No Bee, No Bee!" It was complete survival for him at that point. I am still laughing, I had to pry him from under the table and he still would not LOOK at the bee, he just held onto my neck and would not let me put him down. Once the Bee was gone things were OK, but even out in the box seats, at one time the Bee was down below by the dugout and Aidan was still freaking out. Mike calls him a sissy, but I tell Mike it is the secret if you call him a sissy he will be a sissy. I thought it was all hilarious, I just love that kid. What will he do next?

Oh, I don't have that dude!

Madisyn and Aidan have been watching the Clone Wars on Cartoon Network, and have been asking Mike and I questions that as kids of the Stars Wars Generation we should know, so Mike and I decided that we should watch ALL SIX, so we can answer our kids questions. Aidan loved the movies, and was glued to the TV anytime a light saber came onto the screen. (Mike has an app on his I-phone that when you move the phone like a sword it sounds like a light saber- Aidan's favorite.)

Mike has encouraged Aidan to collect the Galactic Heroes, and Aidan was so excited every time one of his DUDES came on screen. C3P0 (the gold droid) was Aidan's favorite, oh and Master Yoda, he would put his dude to the screen and follow the character around.

Anytime R2-D2 would come on to the screen Aidan would say, "Oh, I don't have that dude. I need to get that dude." He would repeat this until Mike or I agreed that yes he needs to get that dude. Then he would say "He and him are friends, we need his friend." (talking about R2-D2 and C3P0) He is so funny.

Let's Build a Snowman!

Madisyn ran into our room this morning looking for Aidan, because she was so excited that they could build a snowman. Mike and I looked at one another and thought she was crazy, but sure enough we looked outside to SNOW again, and it was a lot of snow. When will we see SPRING, my flowers, my garden, I WANT SPRING!! --Days like this make me miss Las Vegas, so all you Las Vegan friends of mine, I am jealous of your wonderful weather.

Easter Bunny

WOW!! The night the Easter Bunny came I HAD to work my whole shift, which mean till 2:15am!! I have never been SOOOO... tired in my life. The kids kept saying Mom come play. I came out to enjoy the goodies of the Easter Bunny, and then went back to sleep, so I would be able to surive Nursery in church.

The Easter Bunny was great though, Aidan got more DUDES, this time all Star Wars, Spiderman book and Transformers book, and Madisyn got Fancy Nancy Books, (her favorite lately) and littlest pet shops, markers, and finger paints. They both got Bubble Wands, (the Easter Bunny must have know HOW much they liked the ones in Vegas), and tons of candy. The kids had a great Easter.

No Easter Egg Dying this year. I feel bad, but with Madisyn in Las Vegas and not getting back until really late and me working that Saturday night, Easter Eggs didn't fit. I think as long as I don't mention it I will be fine. We will do better next year.

Grandma and Grandpa

I have to first thank Mike for coming with us on Saturday to Las Vegas, he is still really busy at work and worked even Sunday night, to catch up, but I am forever grateful that he took the time to go down. This time we got to play with Mike's parents and have fun the day before Easter. We had a wonderful breakfast at their house with everyone in Mike's family there. Madisyn was especially excited to see Keaton and McClayn, her cousins on Mike's side that are her age. They had so much fun playing and running around. Aunt DeEtt and Julie had set up a fun Easter Egg hunt for the kids, and some awesome bubble wands

that latter became light savors for the Jedi Training that I could not resist. We played at the coolest park EVER, it was all butterflies, and so fun. I think all of the kids conquered the caterpillar crawl, and had fun ROLLING Easter eggs down a hill. --I have never rolled an Easter Egg in my life, but I guess it is a tradition, so I went with it. It was fun, and Aidan decided that throwing the eggs was better the rolling the eggs. Madisyn and Keaton showed their competitive side by seeing who could roll the egg the furthest. We then played the Easter egg toss game, where you throw the egg between two people and move further and further back. Madiysn decided that this game needed to be changed, so if we

caught the egg then we moved closer together. :) Whatever will make her win, she really doesn't have the best catcher hands. Then we flew home. I made sure this time that we were NOT running through the airport to catch our plane. It was a wonderful trip to Vegas. Thanks for a great DAY!!

My little girl goes to Vegas!!

Madisyn flew to Vegas today all by herself. When we got to the airport, she seemed a little nervous, having me go over exactly what will happen for the hundredth time, but when we got to the gate and we had to board she just went right on in, no problems. I stayed at the airport to make sure all was well with the plane, and that it had taken off, even the gate agent, (who is actually a Mom of one of old CHHS students) reassured me that I could leave, but I wanted to make sure that the plane was not coming back. I left before the plane was in the air, but as I was driving to get on the HWY sure enough there was her plane, right over my head.

I don't have a cute picture of the day, I left my camera in Las Vegas the week before, but she looked, so dang cute, and I had put all of her comfort items (I-Pod, Leapster, Crayons, Notebook) for the plane ride in her HSM purse, and she was cute and sassy, jean jacket and all. Max did send me a picture from his I-phone.

She is so grown-up. I was telling some friends I am still stuck in a phase where I actually still buy size 4 clothes on accident, I can't get over the fact that my little girl is 6, and is in the big clothes section of Target.

Tuesday Vegas, Wednesday Disneyland!!

Well we have had fun using our jetBlue benefits this week. JetBlue is ending the flight from SLC to LAS this April, so I had to take a trip down to Vegas for FREE, before it is gone. On Tuesday we flew down to Vegas played with Nana and Bompa's new puppy Emma (she is way cute), played at the park with bubbles and sand toys, ate lunch with Max and Jenni, where Max and Jenni influenced my cute little girl that she could fly by herself next week to Vegas, ALL by herself, she is only 6!!! We will have to see if she can do it.

Then we played at Nana's again OUTSIDE, while here in Utah it was freezing and snowy! I love flying to Vegas when it is cold here, and then we went to the KIDS favorite place Chuck E Cheese!! Madisyn is still asking if we can go to Chuck E Cheese again?

I had told my Dad in order to make my 5:33pm flight we had to leave the place no later then 4:50 and that would be cutting it close. We left at 5:07!! So when we got to the airport and through security we rode the train to the D gates, and then had to RUN up (me carrying Aidan) the BIGGEST escalator you have ever scene. (two stories) While telling Madisyn to be careful so she didn't fall and get hurt. Then we had to RUN to the gate, and we made it, when we got to the gate the agent already knew our name, because Yes we were the last to board, but hey we made it. Without a good girl like Madisyn, I would never ever be able to pull off the craziness that we can pull off.

The next day, Wednesday, we woke up to do it again. But this time to Disneyland. We actually rode on the same plane that we had flew in on the night before. BETA BLUE!! I thought it was pretty cool that we were on the same plane.

So this trip to Disneyland was with my crazy friend Heidi and her little girl Dakota that is just a week younger then Madisyn. We rode toy story mania, and then Aidan wanted to go again so Heidi took the girls on a roller coaster and then we met up for HSM3 on the plaza. Monsters Inc. and Animation Academy (Heidi and Dakota's first time for both). Aidan and I played in Bugs Land and watched Turtle Talk, and then we went to Disneyland for It's a Small World, Space Mountain, Buzz, and Nemo. I love going to Disneyland, the weather was great, but it was a little crowded. September is still the BEST time to go. Oh and at the airport, Heidi made sure the gate agent assigning seats knew "We have kids!" by the way she had kids as well. :)

Sorry no pictures, I left my camera in Vegas.
