Family Pictures 2010

It has been more then 5 years since we have really gotten a good family picture. We have had the same family picture on our wall since Madisyn was 2, and Aidan was in my belly. The kids in the neighborhood finally got to me when EVERYtime they would ask why Aidan and Nicole weren't in our family picture. So Juli's friend took us out and we had our family photo shoot with DOGs and all. It really didn't turn out too bad, and the pictures I got out of it were great.
Nicole's PEEK a BOO....
I know sweetie we are almost done. We kept offering her a slurpee, but didn't pay up. She was not happy...but look at that cute face.
This is the picture we have above our fireplace. This was taken at Daybreak Lake just North of us. We had to hold Lacey to keep her from jumping in the lake. It became comical.
This is the picture I LOVED the most. It was the first picture we took and my favorite. This is the field just North West of our house by the kids favorite park...we call it Dinosaur park. I loved that the pictures were taken so close to home so we can remember what it looked like when we lived there. It will be Legacy Highway in just a year.
Sisters...
Aidan loves his Dad. In the background was the Oquiarh Mountain Temple, but we didn't get it in the picture. Mike was hoping we did. We thought it would make a great call me on a mission some day photo.
This was taken at Dinosaur Park. (we name all of our parks, Fishy Park, Green Park, Dinosaur Park, Castle Park...I think its fun) I love that Nicole has her tongue out, because most of the time she does. Aidan's smile kills me too, he was the worst at the photo-shoot.
This was taken on the bridge at Daybreak, and I love her hands up on the bridge and the wind in her hair.
Aidan looked good though in his clothes. We had to fight and fight with him to wear that shirt. He HATES button shirts. He would much rather wear the nerdy character shirts. Oh well, he is Aidan.
They sent Aidan over with a flower for my ear, he was so cute. I love that little bugger.
Isn't she beautiful. I love her eyes in this picture.
The pictures turned out great, but I have to put a couple of these in, because life with a 5 year old and a 17 month old are just like these pictures sometimes.

Batter Up

We signed up Aidan for a laid back 4 week Summer Baseball Season. Mike was the assist coach. Aidan seemed to enjoy playing, but Mike got upset about his relax attitude. Aidan doesn't really have a drive to be competitive...WHAT a member of my family that doesn't want to win, oh well, maybe he will keep the rest of us in check. They got three pitches from the coach, and if they missed all three then they got to hit off the tee. Sometimes Aidan couldn't even hit the tee. Oh well we will try again next year. He does look cute in his uniform though.

Thanksgiving Point

If Aidan gets to go to camp then I have to take Madisyn some where. So I took Madisyn and her friend Izzy to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point.

WHY NOT?

Coming off the Wasatch Back I realized that if I can run a solid 8:18 minute 23 miles with little sleep, why not run a marathon. And if I'm going to run a marathon, why not the Huntington Beach Marathon.
So I have signed up to run my first Marathon... February 5, 2012 in Huntington Beach. I will finish and receive one of these way cool medals. Not bad.

Hot Summer Days

Izzy and Madisyn enjoying the warm days. These chairs seem to come out everyday, either my neighbors and I are sitting on them or the kids have pulled them out to have a place to sit. The kids love playing with the long squirt guns, I fill up a little water pool and the kids

She Wants to Be So Big

We got to Lifetime to play at the pool, and Madisyn and Aidan always lay down to dry before we go in, and this time Nicole decided that she wanted to lay down too. So she grabbed her towel...
and laid down right next to Madisyn.

Father's Day

This picture says it all, Happy Father's Day Mike.
Breakfast in bed is our family tradition, and we ALL have to have breakfast in bed now. I love that....
I feel like I did pretty good this year. We got Daddy a Hammock on the GO, it folds up like a camping chair, but is a hammock. --I plan to use it when I go tanning in the backyard, but don't tell Mike. He looks pretty good in it though. We also got him Michael Jackson Experience for the Wii, and yes it has the Captain EO song on it, so that made Aidan's day. --REALLY GOOD WII game great for the whole family, even little Nicole danced with us and thought she was playing.

It's All About the Sticker

Anyone that drives in Utah has seen the RAGNAR sticker. I used to think it was a cool butterfly and had NO IDEA it was a really cool race. So I played dumb for the past 5 years and pretended I knew what that sticker was, I know others did too, I'm just the only one admitting to it. Same goes for that LOTOJO sticker. Anyways, I have been wanting to run this race, but didn't know how to get on a team, when Christie told me that she had a team. It was about 3 weeks from the race and I let her know that if anyone drops I would love to take their place. Well sure enough just like any 12 person team someone dropped and there I was runner 6 on the "Whatever" team at RAGNAR Wasatch Back. The race starts at Utah State and ends at Park City. I ran a total of 23 miles, I was suppose to run 18, but one of the guys in the car had a horrible blister on his toe and his last leg was his hardest and my last leg was an easy 5K so we switched. When I added up how many miles I ran I thought what the heck if I can run 23 miles at a 730-8 minute pace without sleep, then WHY am I not doing a marathon. The group in my car agreed and so I will start looking for a marathon to run.
I really REALLY liked our team name, and I loved that the team captain was able to just say WHATEVER when you brought something up, like "Can I do Pink Streaks in my hair?" "Whatever" I LOVE THAT. This is our WHATEVER sign, and we had the best song, Tonight Tonight by Hot Chelle Rae.
This was the entire team all 12 of us and our AWESOME shirts. I loved the turned around RAGNAR sign for our "W" so AWESOME. Karen's Mom on the end bent down was amazing. She's from Kentucky and I asked her to find me a cheer shirt, since they are my favorite and sure enough she ordered me one and brought it for me to wear. How awesome is that. She also volunteered for us during the race. She had so much energy, just like me so we totally got along.
All done with my sticker in hand. I put it on my car that day. Yea for RAGNAR and Team Whatever that was SOOO... much fun.

Lava Hot Springs

Whitney planned a neighbor camping trip to Lava Hot Springs, and it was fabulous. The kids all had so much fun and so did the grownups. Aidan and Holden both wore their favorite outfits and surprise they matched. Super cute!!!
The first thing we did was go to the Hot Springs. The closer to the spring the hotter the water. It was really nice. Looking at the pictures makes my skin tingle remembering how it felt. It was really hot.
This is Aidan doing some sort of indian move. :)
This is all of us in the coldest pool their was.
This is where the original spring came from, and still does.
We all got cremes, they tasted sooooo... good since we had been in such hot water.
Holden and Aidan showing off their HUGE muscles. Aidan will love this picture when he is older...:)
The boys insisted on staying in the HOTTEST water possible. They would both come out RED, and we would have to monitor and make sure they didn't spend too much time in there. This is a picture of them in the hottest pool.
Besides the Hot Springs, the kids went with Mike to a water park, with an indoor diving board and a HUGE slide. The boys also went river tubing and had a blast. Madisyn tie-dyed a shirt and we all played Time's UP. It was super fun, and we plan on doing it again next year.
