Alice and I had a fun date together at Disney. The other kiddos were too tired so we enjoyed a day together. We spent the rest of our California Days at the beach. Then we headed home to 117 degrees. YAY!
Janell came to visit and stay with us for her cousins funeral. It was a great funeral and I loved hearing about her. Her kids said she always had a camera and was taking pictures. I think people might say that about me as well. We celebrated summer with a cake and a swim party.
We decided to go back to California because we had a chance to spend time with the Sperry's in San Diego. We met them at Legoland and spent time in their hotel and pool. That place was pretty cool. After, we rented a home close to the beach and just spent time together as families. We really wanted to spend some one on one time with Carter before he passed away. I'm really happy we did that. We had a great time together. We went to the beach, had dance parties, played uno, saw Ninja Turtles, flew kites and walked downtown. I hated that it had to come to an end.
The Derm took of Alice's red mark. She was so brave and it was kinda gnar. The pathology came back good and we are in the clear. Now she is just healing.
We are in full Summer mode!

Date Night!
Alice is obsessed with Chocolate Chips and Nestle Chocolate Chunks. They decided to eat them off the ground like a dog.
Delilah was super brave and got her ears pierced!!!! we walked into Claires just as our friend Taylor's daughter was walking out. Brianna said she would stay past her shift and help her friend so they could pierce both ears at the same time. She also gave us an employee discount! Delilah cried for just a minute until she saw how pretty her ears looked.
We went to the greatest show on earth. Except it sucked. I was wondering why I didn't see any elephant protesters outside until I realized the elephants were never coming out. They totally retired the elephants like 2 weeks before we went. I mean I know it's sad to see them do tricks, but honestly that's the only reason I would take my kids to the circus. Chloë has been all about elephants since she was born, so I guess we will never see that again. later Barnum and Bailey.
My friend Angela invited me to Big Surf. I haven't been to Big Surf since I was 5. Pretty sure it was the same. They even had the evening surf comps. I felt like I was watching the North Shore. The kids loved it and I had a good time reliving memories.
