THE RETURN OF COMMIS MISAKICHAN!

Some time ago, my friend Jackie brought to work some food he cooked. It was Cream Dory fish marinated in some flavorings. And it was really yummy! So I asked him how he prepared it and he taught me. It sounded easy enough so I thought I'd try my hand at it.

Uh... when was the last time I actually cooked? ∑(O_O;) My mom assisted me in the kitchen (or was it  the other way around? LOL) and we proceeded to prepare my lunch!

Anyway, these are the ingredients:

Basil, Cayenne, Salt, Pepper, Olive Oil, Cream Dory
Olive oil is actually quite expensive! Y U NO TELL ME!!?! ლ(ಠ_ಠლ)

So you marinate the fish with the different flavorings and herbs...

... and then you pan sear the fish in olive oil ...
(that means you have to brown each side for seven minutes! or at least that's what Jackie said. LOL)

... then TA-DAH! your meal is served! ...

I'm supposed to add a squeeze of lemon BUT I FORGOT TO BUY LEMON
SO MY MOM POURED PINEAPPLE JUICE!!! ٩(╬ʘ益ʘ╬)۶

Anyway, it ... didn't taste right. HAHAHAHA! I remember it being soft and had a certain tangy taste. But the fish we cooked was TOO SPICY! I tried again by putting less pepper and cayenne, and it tasted BLAND!

WHERE DID I GO WRONG!?! щ(ಥДಥщ)

UNBOXING THE LOOT BOX

And so! It has arrived!

My sister got me some stuffs from several anime events she's been to in Thailand, and she sent them to the Philippines thru her boyfriend who visited her a few weeks ago. Despite his busy sked, I've been pestering the guy to send me my stuffs already, and finally, it has arrived!!! WUZZAH! \(*T▽T*)/

So when I opened the box, everything was packed nicely and snugly into a creepy female plastic bag. I carefully tore the plastic and found three packs inside: a deck of Monopoly Deal (which I borrowed from them), my shirt, and the rest of the stuffs! (/^▽^)/

So my sister got me this Shingeki no Kyojin Scouting Legion shirt from Tomodachi T-Shirt. I've learned about them when they posted that they were participating in a Danny Choo event. And when I realized that they were Thailand-based, I asked my sister to check them out. She contacted them and went to this one event where they were selling. I had sent her a very long list of the shirts that I like. But in the end, I only chose one. LOL But the shirt's nice. It fits me well (good job sister!) and the cloth material is thick and soft. The print is OK, nothing extraordinary. I have no idea how much this costs but this is actually my THIRD new T-shirt of the week. (ノ>▽<。)ノ

These were also sold in the Tomodachi T-shirt booth - fan art prints from Thai artists! I thought they were postcards, but they turned out to be big, maybe A5 size? The artworks are printed in good-quality soft board material. Also in the above photo is an SnK notebook, a Galilei Donna 2014 caledar, and some freebies from Tomodachi T-shirt featuring their mascot.

I'm too lazy to take pics of the contents so I'm just gonna grab these images from my sister's files.

The highlights of this box are actually the random Uta no Prince-sama merchandise she got for me! Since I'm quite the big fan (and my sister knows this) so this is where she focused her shopping powers. Well, she has posted these loots on FB, but it's different when I finally got to hold them in my hands! \(^0^)/

A4 Prints!
I'm gonna use these prints to decorate my UtaPuri Songbook~ (\˳˘ ɜ˘)˳ ♬♪♫

Keychains and Button Pins!
When my mom saw these, she was like, "What are you going to do with so many button pins!?!
You're way too old for these!" To which I replied, "Just ignore me please!!!" (。・//ε//・。)

Indeed I probably won't have much use for these but they are really lovely~ My most favorite are the keychains on the top left! My sister had to go to different booths in different events just to complete the set! I'm gonna use that Masato keychain on the lower left (Cecil's face is on the backside) for my room key at work. And the rest I'll just store in my collection box for now.

UtaPuri Pouches!

And then there's the pouches, featuring Class S (blue) and Class A (pink). These are actually BIG too! Like, you can fit in 3 standard-sized mangas inside and still have a bit more room. It's made of some waterproof material. I still don't know what to do with these. I don't exactly plan on using them all the time, lest they succumb to wear and tear. Sister says they were kinda pricey too.

And last but not the very least, my sister got me some Sanrio phone casings for my Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos phone. I know she bought more casings for me but she didn't send them with this box probably because they were breakable. But these two, featuring My Melody and Cinamoroll, are made of a rubbery smooth material. They're so CUTE~!!! I've already dressed up my phone with My Melody, and now it looks so adorable! (ㅇㅅㅇ❀)

And lastly she sent me a yellow star charm and a passport holder featuring Little Twin Stars. And you know what she wrote on it?

Here's hoping I'll get to process my passport as soon as possible so I can visit Thailand next year and do my own shopping there~!
Many THANKS to my sister who painstakingly went to all those events (love u, mwah!),
and THANKS to her boyfriend too who almost had to bring home a Masato pillow! LOL

Dream more than Love

I've been planning to change my blog lay-out but I've been quite lazy *coughs* busy. But the other day, I had a sudden burst of creativity and patience. So now we get this blue thing up. It's not exactly what I had in mind, and I was originally planning on just sticking with the previous black and white lay-out. But I'm so illiterate when it comes to coding, and have no sense of which colors to use, so I guess one would just have to bear with me on this. But I must say, I think I kinda like it. (*´▽`*)

This is the tenth version of my blog. Since the first three versions were default blogger templates with no banners, this here is still my seventh banner [see previous banners HERE]. The base image is a screenshot from the last episode of Uta no Prince-sama Maji Rabu 2000%. I chose the title Dream more than Love which is the first track from the Unit Drama CD featuring Ranmaru, Masato and Ren. I'd like to say that there is some sort of meaning or explanation on why I chose this title, but actually there's none. I just really like the song! ♪(๑ᴖ◡ᴖ๑)♪

The text "In my eyes, your're all eternally sparkling stars." was a line Haruka said to the boys in the same episode, when they were feeling so discouraged after watching the performance of HE★VENS. I decided to put that in as well because I totally agree with her on this! Ever since I've watched the Uta no Prince-sama anime last January 2012, I seem to have been caught up and trapped in the fandom! I'm so addicted to everything related to it to the point of being embarrassingly loud, fangirlcrazy, and creepy. In my mind I know it's ridiculous, but I can't explain it either! I just know I just love these 2D boys so much~ ♡(ღ˘⌣˘ღ)♡

And what's even more bizarre is that among all of them, the object of my most obsessive affections and rabid fangirling is none other than Hijirikawa Masato~ This is so weird, because I didn't even like him at first! I don't like these stiff and traditional characters, I don't like weird hairstyles and I don't like moles on anime faces! I seriously don't even remember when I started to like him! I was choosing between Tokiya and Otoya, then decided on Natsuki/Satsuki, but I don't remember how Masato got in the picture! (Oh Masa, you little sneak~♡) But now he's my sole reason for existence ... he's all I ever think about ... he's the only one I want! ... he's my most favorite among all the favorites!!! (less creepy, I hope? >_< )

So when my sister (who's not a fan but has been FORCED to know the franchise) alerted me as to the upcoming 1/8 PVC Figure of Masato by ALTER, I got so excited I immediately, without question, without hesitation, without any doubt, decided to pre-order!!!

I mean, just look at this most lovely thing~ (♥ω♥ ) ~♪

The Masato Swag!
Look at those detailed creases on his clothes! And he even has a POWER H Belt!

It stands at 230mm (so tall!!!) and is due out on April 2014, together with the Ren figure. (Otoya and Tokiya figures get released this month!). As much as I want to collect them all, they are kinda pricey. Masato figure alone costs 7800yen (roughly 4500php!). I think this is presently the most expensive PVC toy I've ever purchased! I will need to work my @$$ off for this baby~

BUT! Who could resist!?! He even comes with two expressions! Happy and Grumpy! LOL

Masa, my lovely prince~

I'm totally so excited for this!!! And even more psyched when they announced in last night's Uta no Prince-sama 3rd Stage live concert that there will be a THIRD SEASON for the anime on 2015!!! My goodness, if they start planning until that long then this may perhaps be the one of the most (if not THE MOST) successful otome game franchises ever! I know it's still so far off, but it just goes to show that the boys are indeed ETERNALLY SPARKLING!!! ☆ So until then, I will definitely continue to follow and love and support them! (。・ω・。)ノ♡

And until I get my MasaTOY, I'll just be fangirling with these...

Now let’s speed up! Beat together!  To the west, and to the east!
This inferiority complex, kick it about and send it flying to the new world!

MICROPHONE HERMIT

変わりたくて 変われなかった
kawaritakute   kawarenakatta...
このハートにサヨナラ
kono HATO ni SAYONARA

I just came back from going out with friends from work. We had a Family Day/Post-Halloween party at the hospital, after which most of the people decided to have some after-party fun. I wanted to be sociable, so I decided to tag along. We went to this new videoke place called Microphone Hero. It was a bit pricey, and the only room available was the biggest (and most expensive) one. But there were more than 15 of us, so I guess it was just the appropriate size.

Image from Microphone Hero FB Page

I thought the place was nice. There was a small stage for the singers, with two huge TVs where you can read the lyrics and see yourself reflected on the screen as well. On another side is another TV where you can play some dance games with the XBOX 360 Kinect. There are comfy couches on the sides. And the room has its own toilet too.

I rarely go out so I wanted it to be a fun night for me. I saw some of the people start dancing to the Kinect, and some of them started choosing and singing their songs. I wanted to sing but somehow, I couldn't choose a song. I haven't listened much to "normal" music since 10(?) years ago, so I'm not that confident in picking a song (I know, JUST PICK ONE, it really doesn't matter!). I was also kinda waiting for me to have my turn, but once again, I'm completely baffled on the "sharing" system when it comes to videoke sessions. I always notice that not everyone gets an opportunity to sing because a number of people tend to reserve several songs in succession and HOG the microphone. But maybe that's the way it is. If you're not aggressive enough, you just won't get your chance.

So I tried joining the people who were dancing because I thought it was exciting how the sensor on the console actually detects your movement. But the thing is: I CAN'T DANCE. I've always had poor motor coordination, and the movements on the screen doesn't make much sense to me so I couldn't exactly follow them. Plus, I don't think the console senses my presence. So eventually I gave up trying to mingle with that crowd too.

And so sitting on the couch, amidst so many people, I suddenly felt sad and lonely (plus I still haven't recovered from my exhausting duty yesterday). I wanted to kick myself for being such an unsociable person, for being so different. And when my eyes started to sting and I felt the threat of tears forming, I decided it was time for me to go. I actually don't have a curfew, and my mother always encourages me to go out with friends. But I thought I couldn't stay much longer as I was starting to feel suffocated. Besides, the crowd was getting rowdier and they was making me even more anxious.

So I went home. Gave some lousy excuse, left some money, said goodbye, grabbed a taxi. While sitting there in the backseat, I touched my eyes and they were wet with tears.

I am an oddball.

I am such a weird, unsociable hermit. And lately, my ability to interact normally with people seems even more affected. I don't know how to deal with this. I don't even know where to focus my life. There's just too many wrong aspects in me right now.
