Adalynn at 8 Months

This cute girl turned 8 months old while we were on vacation in St. George and Lake Powell.  For such a little girl she has done some pretty fun stuff in her short life so far!  July was a big month for our family...here is what we have been up to....

We celebrated Adalynn's first 4th of July.  We all dressed up in our red, white, and blue for church and Adalynn had the cutest outfits for the 4th,

We stayed up late and watched fireworks all over the city from Aunt Lee's deck.  It was perfect because there was no noise to scare the baby.  Although she probably would have been just as happy playing with her glow stick wand in our dark living room.

Baby A hit two big milestones this last month!!  The day after she turned 7 months old she learned to crawl!!  It did not take long before she was crawling all over the place and then trying to pull herself up onto anything she can reach.  It only took her two weeks to figure out how to get up the stairs from our living room to our kitchen.  Except she hasn't figured out how to go down them yet, so once she is up there she just waits and the top and hollers at me for help.  She is into everything and lots of trouble!  Good thing it's cute trouble!
.

A week after she started crawling she cut her first tooth!  And then her second tooth just over a week later.  It is nearly impossible to get a picture of baby teeth but trust me, they are there and they are sharp.

She also started babbling "ma" and "ba" this month.  She happily babbles "da da da da" all day long but it seems she only does "ma ma ma" when she is whining or crying.  Little stinker...

Sunday best!

Adalynn and I flew to Denver again, this time to welcome Uncle Brad home from his mission to Ohio!  She was great on the plane again and we had a really great trip.

It was their first time meeting each other, this picture warms my heart.

We missed you Uncle Brad, welcome home!!

My smiley girl really only gets cranky when she isn't fed.  This little tantrum was thrown when she ate the last bite of her baby cookie.  It's though to be a spoiled baby girl!

This girl loves the baby in the mirror so much!  She will sit and stare and giggle at herself and give kisses to the mirror baby while I get ready in the mornings.  It's pretty dang cute.

Adalynn also started sitting in high chairs at restaurants and in the cart at stores.  It's like a whole new world for her and she loves it!

We went swimming at Aunt Lee's house to give the life jacket a test run before going to Lake Powell.  She was not a fan.  Hopefully it grows on her before our big vacation!

And to top it all off, Adalynn's very first cousin, Taten, arrived at the end of the month!  She gets to meet Baby Tate soon and we can't wait!!

Adalynn at 7 Months

No stats this month because Miss A did not have a doctor appointment.  So far (knock on wood) she has never been sick so we have only had to go to the doctor for her well baby check ups.

Greg's parents and sister came to visit us from Snowflake, AZ for a week.  We missed Uncle Adam who had to stay in Provo for school.   We enjoyed showing them our house and around Boise and they loved getting to spend time with the baby.

Big girl figured out her sippy cup this month!

We went to the zoo with Greg's family and had a great time!

This sloth bear really wanted to come out and sniff Adalynn.  She thought he was pretty cool, too.

More playing in the backyard pool.  She loves the water!

One of our favorite things to do is FaceTime with grandparents, great grandparents, uncles, and aunts.  She could sit and talk to them all day long....and they make great babysitters when I need to get something done in the other room!

And she got her first basketball hoop in the mail from Grandma and Grandpa.  We still aren't sure if she has any athletic genes in that cute little body of hers.  We are practicing putting the ball in the hoop for now...

Always such a happy girl!

Adalynn started babbling tons this month.  She is a noisy little thing but it is pretty dang cute.  This is what she says the most often.

Adalynn's Six Month Photos

While we were in Denver my mom's friend Gina took some adorable photos of our darling girl.  Here are some favorites...

Adalynn at 6 Months

6 Month Stats:
Weight: 16 lbs, 6 ounces  (55%)
Height: 26.2 inches (61%)

The highlight of this last month was flying to Denver for Uncle Ryan's high school graduation!  Adalynn took her very first flight and she did great!  She was her happy, smiling self the whole time and charmed everyone around us on the plane.  While we were in Denver Miss Adalynn learned to sit up all by herself.

She loves her Uncle Ryan!

Grandma took us to the froggy pool and Jessica took Adalynn down the slide.  She wasn't so sure about the slide but she loved the pool and the water.

She also got to meet my Grama Judy and Papa Dean, her other set of Great Grandparents.  This lucky girl got to spend time with four of her great grandparents in the same weekend.  I am so grateful she will get to know them and have a relationship with my grandparents.

Earlier in the month we went to Utah for Aunt Ali's baby shower.  We had a blast with my family and loved getting to celebrate and spoil Adalynn's very first cousin.

On the way home we stopped in Twin Falls to see the falls.  It was really pretty!

We also visited Adalynn's pony, Shadow

Relaxed in the backyard pool

Took walks around our pretty neighborhood

And got all dressed up for church!

Adalynn At 5 Months

Miss Adalynn turned 5 months old on May 4th!

No stats this month since she didn't have to go to the doctor.  But she is starting to wear 3-6 month clothes and is going to move into size 3 diapers as soon as we finish our giant Costco box of 1-2's.  Bummer because 3's are double the price....ouch!!

Last month......

My parents were in town for a tennis tournament so they got to spend a few days with us.  Adalynn thinks they are way more entertaining than we are!

The pediatrician said we could start giving her solid foods at 4 months so we gave her a taste of rice cereal.  But, she seemed to like Grandma's Diet Dr. Pepper better!!  Must run in the family......
And NO we didn't actually let her have any, she just sucked on the can, but still loved it!

She took a ride on her little pony at Lee and Duayne's house.

At the end of the month she was doing much better with the whole food thing so we gave her peas for the first time.  She really loved it!

And a few days before she turned 5 months old she decided to finally show her mom she can roll over! She rolled the very first time for my mom and my grandma on FaceTime, then a few times for her babysitter, and once for a friend who watched her but she never did it for Greg or I!  After this she started rolling non stop anytime you lay her down!

The day before she turned 5 months old we left to go to Utah for my sisters baby shower.  She is such a great little traveler and did awesome in the car!

Can she get any cuter????
