Fun events for December
There will be some great activities for Families this month. Here's a couple, I'll post more as I find them. If you know of some, let me know and I'll put it up for everyone to see. Thanks!
Tomorrow, there will be a great event at Weber State. Santa will be there with live reindeer. There will be treats and crafts and it's all free. They just would like you to bring an item for their charity. (Baby wipes, or paper towels, ect.) Visit their website for more information- bookstore.weber.edu/livereindeer
There is a great light display at Willard Bay right now. You can drive through the large display in your car, or go through them on a sleigh ride. Santa is there most nights, there is hot chocolate and treats. The cost is 8$ per car. I go to this every year with my own kids, it's lots of fun.
Show and Tell for December
Show and Tell this month will be this Wednesday and Thursday. Bring something that starts with K!
Show and Tell
Just a reminder, Show and Tell is this week- October 6th and 7th. There is no theme for this month, anything goes except for live animals. Due to alergies, we'll just do one live animal show and tell. It will be held in May outside.
Thanks for all you do!
All testing is completed!
We finished up the last of the testing today. On Wednesday and Thursday, I'll be passing out some papers detailing which reading groups your children have been placed in. If you'd like to go over your child's test results, please let me know.
School starts tomorrow!
Just a few more hours until the new school year starts, I'm really getting excited for it! I hope all your kids are ready. I'll give you a list of what to expect on the first day in a moment, but first I need to apologize to my Wednesday night appointments for back to school night. I was on my way when my car died over by the Winegar's store. I ended up being a bit over half an hour late by the time I got a tow and then a ride to the school. For those students I didn't get to meet, I'm very sorry and I'm looking forward to meeting you this week.
For the first day of school-
1- Your children will only need to bring their backpacks (I'll have all other supplies at the school)
2- I'll open the door between 8:55- 8:58 in the morning, and 11:55- 11:58 in the afternoon.
3- You are welcome to walk your children back and help them hang up backpacks if you'd like.
4- We'll spend two and a half hours having plenty of fun and at 11:30/2:30, I'll walk all the kids out to meet you. Remember to bring your signs!
Thanks!

Session Two starts with a bang..
Well, maybe not a bang, but we did kick it off with a lot of ice cream.
Here are the kids making some tasty vanilla ice cream. They also got recipe books, and one was a recipe they had made up themselves. Some of the kids had some pretty funny recipes! It was so cute.
