Love Story - 1952

For my birthday, Daughn gave me a lovely set of Stampin Up papers and challenged me to do a layout from them before our next work scrappy session (sometime in September). So here it is.

Patterned Paper: Stampin Up
Alphas: Fancy Pants
Solid Cardstock (including little hearts): from my stash

The journalling reads:

It was June 1, 1952. Mom was working as a telephone exchange operator and Dad was stationed in England with the Royal Canadian Air force. Dad and his buddy went to a telephone exchange dance. He saw Mom across the room and he said to his friend - "That's the woman I'm going to marry!" And the rest is history.....

Friends - 2005

Lunch time at my place in July of 2005.

The page is based on a layout I had seen but I used K&Company paper from a pad that Carolyn had bought me for my birthday this year. Carolyn challenged me to do a layout from this paper pad, so here it is! All the paper used in this layout is from this pad (including the pink flowers with the green leaves). The alphas are 'Websters Pages', the other flowers are Prima, the calendar is from a stamp by 'Little Yellow Bicycle'.

PG5 - mini album

I've been going through my scrappy supplies and trying to purge older stuff and generally clean-up and reorganize. While doing this, I came across this little mini-album kit that I had bought a few years ago. It had room for only 5 photos, so I thought I would include photos of the PG5 and include the story of who we were and how we came to be.

The only thing I changed was the flower (one I had made) and added the alphas to spell out PG5.

Halloween at Busch Gardens Williamsburg - 2004

In October, Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, VA is only open on weekends. They put on a HUGE Halloween-themed extravaganza. It is so much fun (and just a little scary)....

I used a CTMH kit and added some other Halloween embellishments I had in my stash.

Roy Family Reunion - 2005

This is a photo of hubby's family at reunion of his Mother's side of the family. This layout came together quickly from an older Fancy Pants kit.

Winterlude - 2010

I only got four photos of Winterlude this year before my camera battery died. Oh well....it was a gorgeous day and we got to see all the ice sculptures in the park plus some sculptures made from recycled items (like the walrus pictured). The layouts are done up from a kit that I've had for a couple of years.
