uop

There is nothing like having both of your best friend laid off at work.
It was seriously the worst.
Sitting in the meeting that it happened.
Breaks my heart still to not have these ladies here with me.

Lucky for me, our friendship was not just within the confines of work.
But it sure was nice to get to work and get paid to spend time with your besties.

I'm so glad both of them have landed on their feet.
But boy, do I miss them.

Sickies unite

The bad thing about roommates is that you share sickness.
Both of us got terrible colds, mine went to tonsillitis.
But we still had things to do.
First, Andy Grammar concert.
I gave Tyler tickets to that concert for Christmas.

We were both sick, sick, sick... but we still sang like crazy people.

Tyler was also in Shrek while he was sick.
Which is where I think he picked up those awesome germs.
I had missed his last show so I HAD to go to this show.
I went solo, in cozies while feeling like crap.

VIVA LA .... Vacation!

I had just fallen asleep and my phone rings at 2:00am.
I look and it was Tyler calling.
I answer the phone, "you better be dead or telling me we are going on vacation!"
Turns out he wasn't dead and we WERE going on vacation.

He found a killer deal for a week long carribean cruise.
It took zero convincing.
We booked and before we knew it we were on the plane.

We took the red eye to Orlando, if you remember from our last red eye, I don't sleep typically and kept him up last time chatting.
This time he got me an eye mask and I zonked out and he was up the whole time solo.

We arrived in Orlando a day early just in case we didn't get on the first flight since we were flying standby.
We got on and made plans to stay with Glenn and Todd.
But we needed to kill sometime before we headed there.
We car napped for a while, and once again I zonked out and Ty barely slept at all.
We ended up changing in a Target bathroom and got ready for the day.
Talk about classy.
We found ourselves at downtown Disney walking around.
But quickly found laid down on a bench listening to street performers.
Many times people see pictures of my travels and think it is super glamorous.
People, I see lot of new places but it is not as it always seems.
I was hot, sticky and got ready in a target bathroom.
We arrived at Glenn and Todd's and we sat and chatted the night away and then cooked us an incredible home cooked meal.
It was such a treat to be able to stay with them and have a night of quality time with them.
Ty ended up falling asleep on the couch and called it a night early and was entertained by these handsome gents.

We were new people when we woke up from a real nights sleep and it was time to head to the cruise ship.
Let's just say there was a whole lot of this happening all week.
It was dreamy.
It was relaxing.
And it was just what BOTH of us needed.

You can always trust that Tyler and I will make friends.
The first night, we were watching a band and these 4 had a line dance for everything.
Naturally, they became my besties and I danced everything night with them.

Our first stop was Cozumel.
We did an adventure park for our excursion and it was filled with ziplines, caves, 4x4 driving and nature.
We had a blast.

These were our "fast passes".  They just took a sharpie and wrote on our wristbands.
We were laughing for hours about this.
Only mexicans could get away with that.
This was our guide, Bert.
He was great and we liked yelling his name all day!
We had to take a ferry to Cancun for our excursion.
Let's just say, that was the longest 30 minutes of my life and if I had to do that for any longer I would have thrown up.
It was so choppy I wanted to die.
We met friends on our excursion and they quickly became our friends for the entire trip!
We loved them.
Megan, Josh and Brian.
We also happened to pick the same excursions.
Made for a good time.

We had our first formal night.
Obviously, we clean up well.
And then we let the cheesy photographers pose us.
Best. Decision. Ever.
We have laughed for weeks at these.

The photographer LOVED posing our hands!
We just went with it and so glad we did.

We partied hard.
So hard.
They put us on the screen at the deck pool dance party.
Boat Celebs.

Oh Costa Maya,
You were a short visit.
But one of the best visits.
A day on the beach with one of my favorite people.
It was dreamy.
It was fun.
It was relaxing.
Favorite stop of the cruise.

Rhoatan was gorgeous too.
We spent the day with Ellie and friends.
It was awesome.
We played with Ellie and then was able to snorkel with the dolphins.
It was a really cool experience.
They would take grass out of our hand and just be swimming around us.

We were the weird ones that met people everywhere we went.
These were our dolphin friends.
NEXT STOP Belize.
We decided to just walk around the city and explore.
We wanted to eat where the locals did.
It was SO hot but we had a great time!

We really enjoyed all the shows and playing all night!
We made some really great friends who made the evening a blast.

We just couldn't stop with the "professional pics".

Our last day at sea we had to finally try out the water slides.
We were kids at sea all day long!

So this was our photographer that always loved to pose us.
the last night... we made him pose with us.
Slightly frightening and hysterical at the same time.

To say that we were pretty bummed that our heavenly vacation was over was an understatement.
It came at the perfect time for both of us.
We needed an escape badly.
and the sun!

So much fun with all of our new friends on the Sunshine!

We had all day before our flight left... we thought about it and then said... we are going to Disneyworld.
Off to MGM we went and enjoyed the day.
Word to the wise: never do this. we were exhausted and fell asleep in the little mermaid show... both of us.
But we had fun! and lived up our time in Orlando!
