December Recap

Oh my word, it's been too long. So here's our December...

I got quite a few of Macy with the tree...

Macy and her BFF Hannah at our small group Christmas party. They are so sweet to share :)

Macy also decided to crawl for the first time at the Christmas party! (December 5th) She just took off.
Another one by the tree...at least there are presents under the tree in this one.
I love, love, LOVE this picture. So sweet.
Ok, here's the story on this one: Michael and I are driving along and I turn around to put Macy's shade up on her car seat because the sun is on her face. While I'm turned around, I hear a loud crash. Michael managed to jump the curb and slam my jeep into a mailbox. No, he didn't just accidentally back into it...HE JUMPED THE CURB AND HIT IT HEAD ON. Why you may ask? He was changing his fantasy football line up on his phone. Let this be a lesson to all of you - don't play with your phone while you are driving! By the way, this was one of Michael's Christmas presents...a new mailbox, tire, and rim. (I have to add that I also got a locksmith for Christmas...I managed to lock the keys in the trunk of the car when we were in Texas. Mine was much cheaper though :)
This is the only way I can get Macy to be still - put her in her car seat.
This pic was taken on the 17th - Macy is 9 months old! Her big milestones are crawling, pulling up, and walking along the couch. She is in to EVERYTHING! Mace still has no teeth - I've been thinking they were coming in for months now, so I give up. We went to the doctor on the 23rd and Macy is weighing in at 16 lbs. 3 oz. (10th %) and 27 in. long (25th %).

Thanksgiving Week

Ok, I'm finally getting to my Thanksgiving week. (My Mimi called today and made me feel guilty about not posting these yet, so here you go Mims :)

We started off by going to the OU/Texas Tech game. I was cheering for OU to beat Tech by a small margin - at this point, I was hoping there would be a 3 way tie for the Big 12 South Championship (check), Tech would be out of the running (check), and that based on HEAD TO HEAD COMPETITION, Texas would go to the Big 12 Championship...did not happen!! I was (and still am) furious. Ok, I'm going to just leave it a that before I get going again...
After church on Sunday:

My Mom and Nannie came up to keep Macy during the game and that was a huge help! Macy refuses to take a bottle anymore, but she didn't starve to death while we were gone :) I love Mace's face in this one:

Ok, now for our actual trip...we went to Minnesota to visit Michael's family for Thanksgiving. It was a 50's theme this year - they have a theme for every Thanksgiving. I remember Michael telling me about these get-togethers when I first met him, but I thought he was joking...turns out he wasn't!

Here's Macy right before we left. She was already worn out!

Becky, Mel, Myra, and Me:

Check out these hotties!

Michael's mom made all of the girls' poodle skirts and I was amazed! Here I am with Mace, Mel, and Jaylen. The little girls looked so adorable in their skirts!

The Clarks:

Macy's faces just cracked me up in these two pics:

Ok, as promised in my last post, here are a few pics from our "Evolution of Dance" routine. We are still working on getting the video up, and will let everyone know when that happens. I'm not even going to try to explain these...

Buddy Holly:

Macy, I think Jay is calling you out...

Mace and Michael at the soccer game. I will have to brag a bit and say Mel and I were the only ones to score for the South team.

The Clarker's - You can see the lake in the background and it was frozen. FROZEN! My Texas blood cannot fathom a lake being frozen where you can walk and drive a car out on it! I also can't imagine it being cold enough over several months that the lake stays frozen. I told Michael I refuse to move any farther north. I said Danforth Road would be as far as I would go. Maybe Covell if he was lucky. My philosophy - The closer to the Equator, the better.

Jaylen, Maida, and Macy:

Me and Macy, Kara (Michael's cousin) and Maida, and Mel and Jaylen:

I love Macy's blue eyes:

We also got to go the the Vikings/Bears game while we were in Minnesota. I think Mel and I were the only people crazy enough to take babies to the game. (Thank goodness for the dome/heat!) When we first headed to the stadium on the Metro, I was sure we had made a big mistake, but it turned out great. Both Macy and Jay did so, so good.
