Bewitching Pillows

It's wonderful to have creative friends that will teach you their trade.
Thanks to an amazingly skilled friend, I learned how to piece and quilt these enchanting pillows.

Adorable!

Winsome!

Charming little witchy feet.

-sigh-
It doesn't take much for me to sigh in delight - especially during autumn time.

Thrifty Pumpkin Frame

I found these two items at the thrift store.
Frame - $1.50
Pumpkin Hanging - $1

Someone put a  lot of love into this pieced pumpkin wall hanging.

I painted and shabbied the frame up a bit.
I used crumbled packing paper for the back ground.

Then I just stuck the hanging onto the paper.

Now it's finding new love in our home.

Fabric Punkins

These little cuties are popping up everywhere.
I couldn't resist - I had to make some.

I bought some fat quarters at Wal-Mart for $1 each.
I used this tutorial and this tutorial as my guide.
Check them out.

Past Goodies

Here are some of my past fallish goodies that come out every year to spook our home.

Autumn Wreath
2009
I totally cheated and bought this fall goodie.
I love the colors, the acorns and the pine cones.

Boogie Monster
2001

I was on a tole painting spree in 2001 - right before my third little one joined our family.

Pumpkin Welcome
2001
This is my favorite of all projects that year.

Falling Leaves Sign
2001

So cute!

Spooky Ghosts
1996
My older three kids were actually quite distraught over it's new look.
One even had a tear in his eye.
Sniff.
I felt bad.

Batty Bat
1995
I was going to give this little guy a makeover, however, after the kid's reaction to the Spooky Ghost's makeover, I couldn't do it.  Who knew kids were so sentimental.

Scarecrow Hat
1994
I made this cute scarecrow as a brand new newlywed.
It will always grace our kitchen door.

Thanks for strolling down memory lane with me.

Autumn Vase

Make your own stick bundle vase.

Take a large can and cover it with black paper.

Gather branches from outside and hot glue them around the can.

Add a ribbon and some buttons.

Pop in some autumn goodness.

Lookin' all snazzy on my Autumn ledge.

Pumpkin Jars

Tissue Paper vs/ Acrylic Paint.....

Do you remember these cuties?
I made them last year when I spied a tutorial on Our Best Bites.

They are so stinkin' cute!

Showing off....

showing off....

I could stare at them all day!

So cute in sepia too.

mmmmm

Anyways... I wanted to make some more.
Can you believe it?!
I collected pasta sauce jars, pickle jars, marshmallow gunk jars and salsa jars.

Instead of using tissue paper, which is really quite a pain, I used acrylic paint with mod podge.
I am sure you can use any color and it will work.
I just wanted pumpkins this go around.

Drying

I found faces here and here and here
-print faces
-cut out
-glue onto jars with mod podge

Hot glue ribbon around the rim.

If this were a dessert.......yum!

I like the acrylic paint look to it.
It was super easy!

Slip tea light candles or a string of white lights into the jars for a glowing touch.

Pumpkins are on the top of my most favorite 10 list.
