My Baby Is 16....

and I'm okay. Is that crazy or what? Anthony is 16. Every birthday I ask the kids what they want to eat for the day. The answers are something like lobster, t-bone, crab legs, you know, the good stuff. Not this year. Not Anthony. What does the boy ask for? SPAM. Yes, the canned meat stuff. SPAM. "SPAM burgers mom" oh that's not even the good part. How about "SPAM meatballs with spagetti?" He even had the idea of using the melon baller to make the meatballs. SPAM burgers aren't to bad if you add lots of lettuce and tomatoes and a mini mountain of pickles and lot's of onion and some jalapenos, mustard and lots of ketchup. We played the, what do you want for your birthday game. You know the one. "Anthony, do you and gift A or gift B? you can only have one." He picked B wich was a cell phone. He was really happy to help pick it out. The kid is much better at picking phones than meals. Gift A was $100. After seeing the phones he saved to my "Favorites" kinda wish he had picked A. Happy Birthday Big Boy.

Does anyone still do this?

What a great Sunday! Kids are happy and not bugging me. Dew is scouting for hogs. Mars and Jupiter must be in line. All these things happening at once gives me a chance to catch up with friends on the blog. Guess what? People still do this! Family catch up time: Dew makes me laugh. I have tried in the past to get this crazy family of mine to start a compost bin. You know, put all the apple cores and banana peels in the container provided on the counter. My wonderful hubby thought it was gross. Now, this lovely man has converted into the might hunter has asked his kids to put scraps in a bucket so he can bait hogs. AND THEY DO! They do such a good job that my feezer was full of gallon sized ziplock bags AND two in the fridge. Talk about gross. One more reason to buy a deep freeze.
Dew called a bit ago and said the hogs don't like edamaee either. Got to love that guy.

Man oh Man....

am I on one tonight! I know that if I could just get myself to close my eyes I might just sleep instead of telling people what I really think on face book. After having my sweet little baby Ammon I cut us (kids) off from the rest of the world. Coming back isn't so easy though. This is where a husband or friends come into play. To bad I couldn't pick my husband out of a line up. All's I remember about him is he wears a uniform of some sort. If it wasn't for the marriage certificate I glanced at the other day, might not believe I was married at all! Thinking that I miss my husband a little. Wow, go figure. Now that I got that off my chest...... I think I'm finally ready for bed. Good night!

Boys will be boys

This is my ever wonderful son getting staples out of his head. I would have the before and during posted but can't seem to get those photos from the cell to computer. So, he says he was playing football with the guys and was taken down. Not wanting to call his mother not even a block away, he walks two to his friends house. Washes up and then calls me. We pick THE BOY up at another friends house, who I called ahead of time to keep him there. 8 Staples and 5 hours later were home. A boy can never be man with out a trip to the ER is what I kept telling myself. This would never happen with my girls! Zoom in on the pics and you will his all the staples.
