2011 Family Pictures

We had some new family pictures taken by a sweet and talented friend of mine!
Here is a picture of all the additions.

Here is No. 1. He is growing up so quick! Handsome kid, though.

Here is No. 2. Good-looking is having a hard time with how beautiful his daughters are! I think he's going to have a hard time keeping the boys away.

Here is our No. 3. Great smile. He was having so much fun that day.

Last, but definitely not least, No. 4. She did the hand thing all on her own. It really shows her personality.

Here is all of us! Not bad for 14 years later. I love my family!

"Luff" You, Dad!

This picture was taken on September 1, 2011. My Dad and Mom had gone to a luncheon with some Emeritus Status General Authorities and this picture was taken. It is the last picture we will have of him.

I miss you Dad! I love you!

It's Your Choice

"You can be smart and happy or stupid and miserable. . . it's your choice." - Gordon B. Hinckley

I've realized lately that life is too short to waste it. I've rededicated myself to being a better person. To live up to the blessings in my life. To be the wife, mother, sister, and daughter I was meant to be.

Happiness, real happiness, comes from our loving Heavenly Father and obeying His laws and principles. It comes from being humble, teachable, and willing to correct our mistakes. Heavenly Father has laid out the plan for us. We just need to follow it to have more happiness and joy than we ever thought possible.

And, it really all comes down to our choice. What do we want to be? Smart and happy? Or stupid and miserable?

Bear World with Grandma

The additions and I just discovered a wonderful and fun little getaway - thanks to Grandma B. Good-looking has been working insane hours lately and is never home. But, I wanted the kids to have one more adventure before school began and I didn't know if I could do something on my own. So, I was talking to my mom about it and she mentioned Yellowstone's Bear World.

Long story short. We decided to go and I was even able to talk my mom into coming with us. It was one of the most enjoyable trips I have had. The kids LOVED it! It was such a great time to have with Grandma.

We took a relaxing drive on the first day. We stopped to raft down a river and sit in some very hot springs. We were able to drive by the temple where Grandpa & Grandma B. got married. We stayed overnight at a nice hotel and went to Bear World the next day.

Bear World was AMAZING! Bear World is a wild-life reserve that you drive through. All of the animals were so close. We saw deer, elk, mountain goats, wolves, and (of course) bears. The bears were mere feet away from the car. Later, we went on an excursion to feed the bears. It was so fun. The bears would come running up to the truck and beg for food. (It was easy to see how you could foolishly let your guard down and think these animals were harmless.) There was a petting zoo and you could go see the baby bear cubs. We all had a great time.

Then, we had a relaxing drive home. We found a great park with a man-made lake. We let the kids play on the beach and have lunch at the park. It was a quick trip, but one that will always be a great memory.

Mo's Family Reunion

Ok. I've decided that it is too much work to go back 7 months and bring my blog "up to date" and catch up on all the things I've missed. So, instead, I am going to start with current events and just get back in the habit of posting regularly.

Both Good looking and I have had family reunions this past month. I will start with my family reunion. The reunion was with my parents and my siblings and their families. It was wonderful. I love my family! Here is a picture of me with my parents, brothers, & sisters.
A good-looking bunch if I do say so myself. :) We got together over a weekend. We enjoyed good food, an awesome extended family home evening, games, water fights, and time together. It was a lot of fun. Since it will be awhile before we can all get together again, we took family pictures. Here is one with all my siblings with their spouses and my parents.
My in-laws are wonderful. That's all 16 of us - not counting the grandkids. My parents would argue that the grandkids are the best part of the reunion. So, here is a picture of everyone that attended the reunion.
I know that looks like a big group, but we are still minus a few. We were missing the oldest two granddaughters and their families. We were also missing two grandsons that are on missions. One in Uganda and one going to Mexico. Plus, there was one more grandson who was gone because he is in another state working for the summer. It was a great reunion!

Ok. So, it's been 7 months . . .

I sincerely apologize to all of you whom I have teased for not updating their blog for a significant amount of time. :)

I will be posting new pictures of our trip to Disneyland and kids' birthdays. However, it's been so long since I've used my blog that my account is giving me trouble. I'll work out the kinks and get a new post up soon.

Trick or Treat

Happy Halloween! We had a great day. We wanted to share some pictures of the additions for our out-of-state family members. Here are all four . . .

Here is Addition No. 1. He actually went trick or treating with friends this year for the first time. I hate to see them grow up. :) He is a "hunter."
Here is Addition No. 2. Obviously, she is a black cat. When she was in costume, she was in character. :) She LOVED being a cat.
Here is Addition No. 3. He is a knight. He was running around, fighting everything. :) It was hard to get him to hold still. This is the least action shot I had.

Here is Addition No. 4. We went through every Disney princess this year before FINALLY deciding on Tinker Bell. It was quite the decision. ;)

Happy Halloween!
