Well, lets just say we are the luckiest family in the world to get Shaelee as a new member of our family!!! My brother Garrett won the big jackpot with her. They are perfect for each other and really do complete each other!! We couldn't be happier!!

Kauai 2012

Jeff and I were able to sneak away for a trip to Kauai to celebrate our 15 year wedding anniversary!! We had the best time..... It was so relaxing - even though I missed my kids like crazy!!! Jeff started reading the Hunger Games and for someone who doesn't "like to read" he went through all 3 books on our trip. We got to take a tour of the island in a Cessna - let's just say I was soooo nervous at first - I don't like to fly and when we got in this little plane that the door wouldn't stay shut and looked like it was one of the first planes ever made, I was scared we wouldn't make it back!!!! BUT.... it was a great way to see the whole island.

Ahhhhh..... what to do???

Lazy Summer Days... NOT!!

I'm always so anxious for summer so that things can slow down. Some how I always forget that things seem to just get crazier!! We have had a fun summer of going to the San Diego County Fair for a week, staying at the beach in Carlsbad, and our numerous day trips to the beach... and of course swimming in grandma and grandpa's pool. And I feel like the summer has just begun! Today is rare in that we have no plans, so I am loving having the kids home. I love that Emily wants to come lay on the bed with me and watch TV, and that as I lay here with her, Laci is snuggled up next to me sound asleep, and I can hear Steven cracking up at something he is watching out in the family room. This is a priceless moment... maybe it is a lazy summer day!!
