John Schmidt at UW!

John Schmidt came and played in the middle of Prexy's Pasture and it was AWESOME! This is taken from my cell phone, so not the greatest video, but you get the idea! Outdoor concerts are pretty amazing :)

Hooray for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital! This is an incredible place with an incredible cause. Thank you to all of you who donate and save lives! You really are making a difference!

I can't find my deodorant and I smell awesome!

Sigh! The life of unemployment. I thought I would go crazy but I have now found purpose in life. :) Stephen and I are currently living in my in-laws basement. Well mostly. Stephen works four hours away so I get to see him on the weekends. We have yet to spend a summer in the same place and we're coming up on four years together. We REALLY hoped for it, but some things are just not meant to be. I'm hoping to be a commuting worker by next week. You might wonder what I am doing all day at home by myself. I have found how delightful reading for fun is once again. I also get to exercise, garden, cook, craft, email, play guitar and spend time with my mom-in-law in the evenings. After the first day or so it's not so bad. I'm adjusting. :)

Stephen and I had a great Spring semester at UW with lots of blessings and good times. Stephen only has one more semester to go! :O I still have two more years...All completely worth it though. I only got one pic off of my camera before it died. This is me and my lady friends at Sweet Melissa's. It's a vegetarian restaurant (SO GOOD) so Stephen is a little skeptical. :) This is our victory lunch for finishing our fourth final in a 48 hour period! Yes we are that incredible....insomuch that at least half of us didn't shower that morning in rebellion. AH pharmacy school. I really think I'll miss it when we're done.

Las Vegas!

I just happened to have a pharmacy conference in Las Vegas last weekend so Stephen and my bro-in-law Robert graciously agreed to drive me there! What's thirteen hours in a car right? My camera died while we were there so most of the great pictures are on Stephen's phone. One cool video that Stephen has on his phone is of the strip during Earth Hour. They shut off all of the lights for an hour! It was basically awesome. We had a wonderful time! :)
This is Stephen eating a hot dog burrito.....?

We went to the Cirque De Solei show O at the Bellagio and it was AMAZING! It was half under water and we had GREAT seats!

Here is Stephen and I in front of the Las Vegas Temple (We're the dark spots on the left)

And this is my niece Emily with her dad. So cute! We stopped in Utah to visit the family on our way there and on the way back. :)

Brown and Gold

I just saw these pictures on my camera next to the concert ones (next post) and realized I hadn't posted about the brown and gold ball. I was rather sick but was determined to go anyway. :) There was a live band this year and they were incredibly good! The only bummer was seeing all of my friends and not being able to say hi because I had no voice! We still had a lot of fun.

Spring Break!

It has officially begun! And man did we begin it! This Friday we went to a Black Hawk concert at the Prairie Rose in Denver, Colorado. (If you know who Black Hawk is you're probably old. I know their music because of my dad. :) The opening band was the Younger Brother's Band and they're from Laramie! We got to b.s. with them after the whole concert was over which was PRETTY SWEET. The Prairie Rose has a big swing dance floor in the middle of it so Stephen and I were tearing up the dance floor before the concert. Stephen also taught our friends some swing dance moves and we decided we're going to have to make swing dancing more of a regular habit!

One of our friends hooked up with a random girl at the concert who let us crash at her place. It was AWESOME! And she was really nice sober too!

We ate brunch on Saturday at this little restaurant just outside of down town Denver called The Bang. It was SO GOOD. I had the orange cinnamon french toast. YUM. We jokingly asked for the recipe of one of their original sauces that we liked and they gave it to us! The weather was so nice that we ate out on their patio!

Zeke and Leslie! (Zeke totally doesn't look like that normally...he was just trying to fit in with the Coloradon's)

Later that day Stephen and I went to Body Worlds! This is a place where this guy has plasticized human bodies and put them in random positions. You can see all sorts of isolated organs and cancerous organs and slices of people. I know that sounds morbid, but it's actually incredible! My favorite isolated piece was the inner ear. SO AMAZING. And my favorite whole body structure was the one you see on the poster next to stephen and I. What you can't see are the guy's feet are balancing on two other balls and he's holding his internal organs in the other hand above his head. Expensive display but definitely worth seeing!

Tribute to Anna

Remember in highschool when you used to eat day-old macaroni and cheese for breakfast? I always thought that was the most digusting thing ever. And that's what I'm eating....right now....for breakfast. (Yes I know it's 11:00 am and I said breakfast. Stephen and I got new guitars and a drum set for guitar hero last night and we had to try them out until one in the morning! They were only $30 all together. How can one pass THAT up?) Anyway, macaroni and cheese for breakfast? It totally reminds me of you! :)

Blog Slacker

Yep that's me! That's ok tho :) Here's some updates:
  • Stephen and I drove to New Mexico to watch the New Mexico Bowl. SO AWESOME! That was before Christmas...yeah....
  • We went to Star Valley for Christmas. Pictures are here.

  • I have a new niece named Emily Grace!

  • Stephen and I skipped school to use the last of our Big-6 Passes at Steamboat yesterday. -oops sideways picture that I don't feel like fixing right now. Just tilt your head to the right a little. :)

  • The Sibbett' came to visit us last week because David was getting his big interview. (CONGRATS by the way!)
  • We have new pets! Guppies and Angelfish and some kind of fish with a glowy stripe and a red tail. The guppies are all named Bob and I hope to get some pet shrimp to eat them. :) The other fish are AWESOME. I think most of them hid for the photo.

School continues on as does our many church/social/club/fraternity activities.

Happy Valentines Day Everyone!
