It's been a great year, 2009...but, helloooo 2010!!

I cannot believe how quickly this year has flown by!  I feel like it was just yesterday that I was dreaming about the day that James would propose to me, and now here I am, an old married lady.  hehe  Just kidding.  ;)

Seriously though, I can honestly say that I've had the best year of my life so far.  I planned the most perfect wedding to the man of my dreams/my best friend...and it was absolutely amazing!  And, this is just the beginning!

I am a little sad to say goodbye to 2009, but, I am SO excited to see what 2010 has in store for us!  I'm hoping it can only get better, and *crosses fingers* that this will be the year I get my BFP!!  :D  I guess we'll just have to wait and see....

Here's looking back at 2009....it's been a blast!

All snowed in! :)

We had our first major snowstorm of the season last night...and boy, was it a good one!  We woke up this morning to almost 9 inches of snow covering everything.  It looks SO pretty!  I love it.  And, thankfully our neighbor will do almost anything for some extra $$, so we paid him to shovel our driveway and dig my car out of the street.  lol  I'm so grateful for him, and all the hard work his does for us.  Especially since James had his car accident, and his back is even more messed up now than it's ever been.  He can't lift anything heavy or do any strenuous work for at least the next 3 months or so.  So, if it wasn't for our neighbor, I'd be out there by myself trying to shovel our entire driveway.  HA!  That would've been a sight to see.  It would've taken me HOURS.

Here's a few pictures I took of everything all covered....

My poor car all covered.  lol

So, today has now turned into a day of relaxing and cleaning....instead of Christmas shopping, which I NEED to do!  I also plan on finishing up my Christmas cards, because now I have no excuse not to.  ;-)  Maybe I'll be a good little wifey later on and bake, too!  hehe  We'll see how that goes....

Christmas shopping

Honestly, I really hate Christmas shopping.  It's very stressful for me.  Unless I know exactly what I'm getting everyone, and know where to go in order to get it, I can't stand it.  And 99% of the time, I have NO clue what to get anyone.  And, when I ask my family what they want for Christmas, I get the typical, "I don't know....I don't really want anything....Don't spend your money."  Ok, you know I'm going to buy you something no matter what, so why not waste my money and just tell me what you'd like!  Rather than me going out and getting you something I think you'd like, only to find out the next year that it's still sitting in the box and you haven't even opened it yet.  Grrrrr.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE getting gifts for people....especially ones that I know they really want, and will be super excited about once they open it.  I'd much rather give gifts to everyone for Christmas, (knowing exactly what they want, of course.  lol) and be able to see the excitement on their faces when they open their gifts, than receive any gifts of my own.

But, who am I kidding?  I know that's not going to happen.  lol  Ohhh well, maybe next year!

And with that rant....I leave you this lovely shopping picture.  I'm sure this will be me on December 24.  ;o)

Sunday randomness....

Today has been a pretty uneventful/unproductive day.  I love it.  Last night one of my girlfriends had a little get-together and we all had a blast eating/drinking/chatting about anything and everything.  I love girls nights....and we definitely need to have more of those.  So, unfortunately today I woke up with a bit of a headache, and have been lounging around and being lazy all day.  My kind of Sunday!  :)

DH and I watched the Patriots game this afternoon.....annnnd they lost.  :(  Booooo.

I'm loving every minute of the Christmas season so far.  I wish we could listen to Christmas music and have our tree up all year long.  Seriously.  It makes me so happy.  I love driving around at night and checking out everyone's Christmas trees in the window, and decorated houses.  Everything's so pretty.  And, being in the Christmas spirit....here's a picture of our decorated tree!

I didn't even realize that I caught our furbaby, Fozzie Bear, hanging out under the tree.  Too cute!  :)  He's definitely having his share of Christmas fun since we put the tree up.  We've already had one broken ornament, and about 47 others have been knocked off the tree so far....and it's only December 6th.  Ha!

So, I have a serious case of baby fever....BAD.  I find myself lurking on The Bump message boards many times a day lately, trying to learn anything and everything I can before TTC.  I was at Target the other day and happened to walk by the "What to Expect Before Expecting" book....of course I had to buy it, and I've already read the entire thing.  I honestly am SO excited to start TTC.  Originally, we had planned to wait the typical year or so before trying....but, I think that has now turned into, waiting until after the holidays.  lol  We just can't wait anymore!  And, with reading and hearing all these stories of couples taking months, even years, to get pregnant...I'm terrified that it's going to take us a LOT longer to get pregnant (if at all) than we expect.  Soooo, hopefully that will not be the case.  **crosses fingers**

Until next time....

First post!

Well, here I go....

So, after much thought (and interest in reading everyone else's blogs!), I've decided to start my own. I'm sure much of this will just be me rambling on and on about married life, family, work, our "kids" (aka, the dogs and cat), and other random things.....so, I hope I don't bore anyone too much!  ;)  Enjoy!
