the celebration continues!

ONE!

Given the size of our house and the fact that all of our family lives out of town, my mom and dad were gracious to host a birthday party at their house..which is also exactly between our house and John's family!

Our birthday girl LOVED her cake, "WOW'd" and "WHOA'd" all of her fabulous gifts and soaked up all of the special love and attention poured on her by her special guests.

Thank you Aly for constantly sharing your talents with us and capturing precious memories of this precious life!

On September 20th Libby turned ONE

talk about a reason to celebrate!

and celebrate we did!

We celebrated the end of a fabulous first year of Libby AND the end of a very hot summer with great friends and Popsicles from Steel City Pops!

one year ago tonight

one year ago tonight my Libby-filled self waddled in to the hospital three days past my due date, fearful of the unknown, and anxious to meet the miracle that grew inside of me.

one year ago tonight we took our last family photo as a family of "three"

one year ago tonight I tried to get comfortable in a hospital bed hooked up to monitors, while my prince charming attempted to get some much needed rest on a plastic sofa.

one year ago tonight was the beginning of the best chapter in the story of my little life.

one year ago tonight was the end of an era. what a sweet era it was. what a sweet year it has been.

September!

It's September which means we are thinking about BIRTHDAYS around here!!

Thoughts of balloons and cake reminds me I never posted about Mama J's big 6-0!

Mama J turned 60 on June 16th! The Baltimore crew was living at the lake, it was father's day weekend, and just a few days shy of Grande's birthday...so we jumped on the opportunity to celebrate!

off to a great start....

It has been a great week so far, and it's only Tuesday!

We kicked off the week by celebrating our buddy Brooks construction style!

Here was our attempt at these cute kiddos in their hardhats.

Babies lined up always makes me giggle.

I learned you should always check the bag when your husband brings your baby to a party.

Her swimsuit and cover up sure were cute...but after that...AUBIE!?!

the pool

I have wonderful Aunts. Each of them have been a blessing to my life and are apart of so many of my memories. I am thankful for my Aunts...and thankful it means Libby has fabulous GREAT Aunts.

While we were in Birmingham, some of our most fun outings were to see my Aunts. Gail had us over to visit her chickens, which I hate I don't have any pictures... and Bonnie had us over to swim!
